The author wrote an interesting memoir about his life and the events that inspired him to continue his mission.

This is a fascinating autobiography. I have to be honest and say I didn’t know who Michael Cassidy was and hadn’t heard of him before so I didn’t have a clue what to expect but the blurb looked interesting so I thought it would be worth a read. It really was. Cassidy is a South African who became involved in missionary work in the country during apartheid, he then went on to be involved in reconciliation work in Rwanda and travelled and worked around Africa. This book tells his story both of work, faith and family life. I found his courage, determination and faith inspiring and there was a lot of food for thought in this. It was also an incredibly easy book to read, Cassidy’s writing style is engaging and the book is peppered with photographs, journal entries, letters and quotations.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
