A good start to what looks like a promising read from one of my favourite authors.
I love the setting of the Australian outback, it feels refreshing and allows the reader to learn about a different way of life.
This is enough to whet the appetite and I look forward to the rest of the book.

I was just getting ingrossed in the story and it finished............I was confused then looked it up and realised I only had the sample edition. I want more , I want to know what happens. Always a promising start, I need to read more to say more.

Netgalley.com gave me the opportunity to read a sample of this book - the first couple of chapters - and from what I have read, it looks like a really good book! I hope I will have the opportunity to read this book! It's about a girl who always dreamt to travel the world but who was stuck in her hometown in Australia to take care of her grandmother who was sick. We discover this girl the day her grandmother dies and suddenly she has a whole new life waiting for her. Very intriguing. Can't wait to have my hands on the full book! THank you Netgalley!

Love Paige Toon books, always found a great story and characters. This one looks to have the same......never mind, just have to wait until May for the next instalment....sigh.

It’s really very difficult to judge a novel by the blurb and the first two chapters in the story, but I’ve always loved Paige Toon’s glorious writing, her creativity and her warm and satisfying style. I’ve never come across I novel that I have thought was not a lovely read and that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I must say that is exactly how I have felt about this short sampler. I was hooked in by the description ‘The brand new novel from the Sunday Times bestselling author Paige Toon. The perfect summer read for 2019!’ and I was tempted because the novel is published in May, and know that I will definitely read the novel.
I cannot expand on this brief review other than by saying that 'If You Could Go Anywhere' has all the trademarks of this very talented author in the genre of Women’s Fiction. My review reflects the fact that I have only read a very short extract. It’s a 2* review from me but I know the full review written when I have read the novel will truly reflect the quality of Paige Toon’s writing, characterisation and plot development.

really good so far, I'm definitely intrigued and I cant wait for the book to come out. I love the bond the character seems to have with her nan and I can really relate to that

I wish I had realised this was a sampler! I was just getting in to it and it finished! However on the upside I will now go and buy the book to find out what happens next.
Written in Paige’s easy read style this book is right up my street - even though I’m not sure they have actual streets in Coober Pedy given they live underground!

The sampler introduces our main character Angela, who has harboured ambitions of travelling the world for years but has been unable to do so due to elderly grandparents. After losing her grandmother to dementia, Angela is now finding herself thinking "if you could go anywhere, where would you go"? once more. Paige Toon's novels rarely disappoint, and I can't wait for this one to publish in May.

Paige Toon is one of very few authors whose writing never fails to hit the spot for me and I can just tell from this short sampler that 'If You Could Go Anywhere' is going to be another book that I adore.
I can't wait to read more of Angie's story when this is released.

Argh, it’s a sampler! It did it’s job and I am already hooked hence the frustration that it stopped! A great start and already waiting til May to read it properly!

I didn't realise this was a sampler when I requested so, as a big fan of Paige Toon, I have to admit I was a little disappointed to only get the first few pages. It is a promising start though, with an immediately likeable main character and a very different setting. Too early to tell on the story but I am looking forward to reading the rest.
