Dangerous Protector by Katie Reus.
Red Stone Security Series, #14.
After two years of running Tegan O’Kelly could finally stop when the deadly gangster after her died. Eight months ago she put down roots in sunny Miami. For the first time in years she has friends, a job she likes and she can think about the future, not just surviving to the next day. When her car is bombed in broad daylight, she decides to stand her ground instead of running from her faceless enemy.
A brilliant read. I love this series. I loved Aaron and Tegan  story. 5*.

Katie Reus can certainly write suspense. I love the way this one starts off with a bang. Literally. She got me hooked from the very beginning, which I love. She also does a great job of creating just the right balance between romance and suspense. This one was very entertaining from start to finish and I ended the book wanting to read more in this series.

Another strength is how the author makes the characters feel like family. They are interesting and she manages to make me care about all of them.

4+ stars review and I look forward to more!

I love these Red Stone books. The plot is different from the others in the series and I loved it! Tegan was ready to stand up for herself instead of running.. Aaron was such a great dad. I enjoyed the epilogue.

This was an utterly forgettable and equally short book.
I read this just yesterday and wanted to write my review today, only to realize I didn't recall a single thing that happened.
I recall liking it, but I definitely wasn't blown away. Because it was so short, everything felt rushed.

Just when she thought she was safe and could stop running Teagan’s life abruptly changed. One moment was all it took. Aaron had attempted to fight the attraction every time he got coffee. However he would ultimately fail when he would protect the one woman he slowly began to love. The secrets of the past will push them closer together. This story has it all! Suspense, intrigue, and romance on every page.

Although this is the 14th book of the Red Stone Security series, it is only my second one, and I can tell you each book is complete. I must go back however, and read all of the great stories I have missed. "Dangerous Protector" is a fast paced romantic suspenseful story that kept me glued to my kindle from page one to the very last page.Tegan's story heartbreaking for all of the things she has been thru in the last two years. Aaron is a guy that will melt your heart with his protectiveness and his sensitivity while protecting Tegan and raising his 5 year old son. I will say that when I read the epilogue, I had to stop and wipe tears away. It was so emotional. This is a book that I would recommend for all of us romantics that like suspense and the fast pace. I would like to thank NetGalley and KR Press, LLC for gifting me with a copy of "Dangerous Protector" and asking me for my honest opinion. This is mine. 4.5 Stars!

I genuinely enjoy this authors work, I really do, but she needs to do some research into the areas that she writes about. This isn’t the first book of hers that I have read that is set in Miami. So why the hell are people running around with winter coats, winter hats, mittens, gloves, ear muffs, and scarves? IT’S MIAMI! It’s next to impossible to find a store that sells those things let alone EVERYONE wearing them. And sure it’s December and it could get a little cooler but not full winter gear cool. The average temperature in Miami in December is 76° and the average low is 65°. Nobody is running around in full winter gear. Yes, that bothered me so much it fully took away from the story.

Other than that is was a good addition to the Red Stone Security series. I liked Tegan and Aaron.

Katie Reus has a recipe for romance in this series where the main ingredients are always an alpha protective good guy hero, a perfect for him leading lady, a dash of danger, and a posse of military trained personal security buddies to back them up so they can defeat the bad guys.

As book 14, Dangerous Protector proves this recipe works time and time again. With a tweak here and there, we get served up a new scenario with a similar theme that never fails to give us plenty of sizzling chemistry, steamy scenes, dangerous drama, and a HEA.

This go around Tegan, the heroine, has been on the run trying to stay out of range and off the radar of a mobster who has some unfinished business he wants to wrap up in a very permanent kind of way. Since moving to Miami eight months ago, she has caught the eye and attention of Aaron, our reluctant at first to make a move hero. When clearly marked as a target, he quickly steps in to protect Tegan, and the rest you’ll have to read for yourself to see what actually happens, folks.

Just know this author always gives us sweetness along with a heaping side dish of naughtiness to heat up the storyline.

Feel free to read these books a la carte, as each one is a stand-alone but part of the same series.

Title: Dangerous Protector, Series: Red Stone Security (Book 14), Author: Katie Reus, Pages: 250, stand-alone but connected to a series, alpha protective good guy hero, sweet, damsel in distress heroine, some very graphic smex scenes, both celibate a long time, not a manho, romance safe, divorced hero has a 5 year old son.

I thought the story was okay. I didn't care much for the heroine Tegan. I'm not sure what it was about her, but I didn't like her. I didn't think that she had chemistry with Aaron. I did enjoy the end of the book because that's when the action started picking up. The book was just an okay read for me.

Dangerous Protector is the fourteenth book in Katie Reus’ Red Stone Security Series. It is a suspenseful romance novel filled with fantastic characters, a great storyline, no cheating and a happily ever after.

A steady job. A home. Friends. Those were all the things Tegan O’Kelly had given up ever having when she left Chicago two years ago, on the run from a mobster. But now that she’s found them she won’t give them up without a fight. Single father Aaron Fitzpatrick was drawn to Tegan from the moment he met her, but past experiences have taught him to keep to himself. When he witnesses Tegan’s car explode, Aaron will do whatever it takes to keep her safe and right by his side. The intense chemistry between them grows as they work together to figure out the danger surrounding Tegan. But will the growing bond between them be enough to mend past broken hearts and fight an unknown threat?
Aaron will use everything in his power, including his resources at Red Stone Security, to protect her. But will it be enough? Read it and find out!

This book can be read as a standalone, but when read in order, a greater appreciation for the series is achieved. Reus does an excellent job weaving old and introducing new characters into the Red Stone Security series. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

3.75stars
A quick pace short intense love story. Tegan and Aaron are dancing around eachother and not giving in to a temptation that is until someone tries to kill Teagan. Teagan thought she would be free from running after her prosecutor turns dead. After someone plants a bomb in her car she reconsiders about running again. But Aaron stops her, admits his feeling and fighting for life and love begins. It is a cute story, I just had a problem with the whole mafia plot, it was not much believable it could be executed better. Both Aaron and Tegan are likable characters, well developed with strong chemistry. A lovely sweet story with elements of comedy, suspense, and family drama
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Someone wants Tegan dead. I. Da t, more than one person wants her dead. When her car explodes at the beginning of the book, the action begins and never stops. In true Katie Reus fashion, you won’t want to put down this story.

Tegan O’Kelly had been on the run for the past two years from a mob boss looking for his stolen diamonds. He threatened to kill her believing her brother stole the diamonds and she knows where her brother or the diamonds are. After learning the mob boss was murdered, Tegan has been able to settle in Miami where she finally has a job, a home, friends, her dog and a life. Tegan is working at Kimmy’s Cakes and Coffee where she meets Aaron Fitzpatrick. She is attracted to him, but he seems only interested in the coffee. When Tegan presses the key fob towards her parked car, her car explodes. Aaron, who works for Redstone Security, witnesses the explosion and rushes to aid Tegan. Police are called and it looks as if the mob boss may have faked his death. Knowing that she must run again, Aaron convinces her to stay and allow him and Redstone to protect her. As the danger for Tegan intensifies, Aaron can no longer deny his attraction to her. Someone else is threatening to end her life, but why? A thrilling visit with the men from Redstone Security as they use all their skills to keep Tegan safe. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. Tegan O’Kelly has finally stopped running and for the first time in years she has friends, a job she likes and she can think about the future. Aaron Fitzpatrick is a single father and so far he has been able to keep his distance the sexy, petite package of trouble that he fantasizes about. But all that changes when he witnesses her car explode with her close by and something protective erupts inside him.

The newest Red Stone Security is a electrifying read that keeps readers turning the pages with a sweet romance and thrilling excitement. The heroine on the run and the single dad have lots of awesome chemistry and their romance is one that lifts readers up with lots of sweet and spicy passion. It has all the feelings and turmoil that readers would expect from a real situation which brings these characters life and makes it easy for readers to connect.

The plot is fast paced with edge of your seat excitement, some unexpected twists that keeps readers glued to the pages. The suspense and excitement builds throughout the story as Tegan’s enemy sets to out to destroy but this story is enhanced with some danger that even Tegan doesn’t know about which makes this one exhilarating read.

Another book in the series that is a quick read. This book is also full of action. Starts off with you getting to know Teagan who has been on the run for two years from a gangster who was after her. Feeling safe now she is starting to feel normal when one day her car explodes when she pushes the button to release the locks. Now realizing she is still in danger she begins to come up with a plan to protect herself. Aaron who has been drawn to but has forced himself from her and all women since his wife left him five years ago. Now has a reason to become close with her but is still nervous of the attraction he feels for her and if he can keep her safe while finding the person who wants to harm her, and he is falling for. A vert good story and a good fast story with good characters.

Dangerous Protector is the 14th book in the Red Stone Security Series and it is another great story. Katie Reus never disappoints.

After two years of running for her life, Tegan O’Kelly finally settles down after she is told the man chasing her is dead. She can now get a job, make friends and think about the future. Nothing is ever simple though and Tegan soon finds herself in danger again. Aaron Fitzpatrick is a single dad who works for a security company and takes on the role of protector when Tegan’s car is bombed. There is loads of action and a good plot.

I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. All views are my own.

I enjoyed this one much better then I have enjoyed other stories by this author.
I do recommend this one if a love story mixed with a little suspense in the type of book you enjoy. This is part of a series, but I had no issues reading it on its own. I felt this was the best story I have read by this author. (I have not read them all.)
