I can't wait to read the full version of Never Have I Ever! I have read all of Joshilyn Jackson's books she is one of my favourite authors! This one seems to be a change of genre, they all have a suspenseful element, a slowly revealed surprise, but this one seems more of a thriller and I love this new direction. Secrets and lies are yet to be revealed but I can already feel the menace laced with her trademark humour. I always laugh out loud while reading a Joshilyn Jackson novel. I can not wait to read the full length edition of Never Have I Ever!

Very promising start for an extract and a book club setting too. What more can a book lover ask for. Great characterisation and Roux seems highly intriguing.

An intriguing start to what sounds like one to the most promising thrillers this year. The characters definitely stuck in my mind, there's Charlotte, the bossy host of the book club, Roux the extrovert that wants to be quirky, but is clearly sinister. Utterly captivating.

This is only a small extract but it definitely packs a punch. It introduces the characters at a book club that descents into a drunken game and the reader learns that there is something sinister bubbling behind the scenes. It’s intriguing, dark and it pulls you in so I’m looking forward to reading the full book!.

This was just an extract for review and honestly it didnt grab my attention at all. I wont be purchasing the full book.

I am so sad that this was only an extract and not the whole book and that I didn’t pay attention to that before I started reading it.

I got completely sucked into the story and now I really want to know what Amy is hiding and how Roux knows about it.

As this is only an extract, hard to get a real feel for the book, however, it appears to be off to a good start with an interesting cast of characters and some down and dirty intrigue may yet be revealed. Thanks to Netgalley for the free excerpt.

Wish I had a little more, but it is only an extract. So far, I'm pretty hooked. Will I buy it, possibly. Based on what I've read, it's definitely up my alley. Adding it to my to be read pile to dig into further.

An excellent preview which made me want to read the rest of the book...definitely a good thing but not for me as I need to know what’s happening. From what I’ve seen, well written and one to look out for.

Excellent preview! I didn’t realize it was a sample and I was disappointed I couldn’t read on. I’m interested in the characters and the story lines of which there are a few. I’m interested in this new character and how she intrudes upon this sleepy, predictable town. July 2019-can’t come soon enough. Thanks to Netgalley for the sample and the author/publisher. An excellent opening chapter, with lots of interesting characters, a mystery guest, and a secret. The extract most definitely left me wanting more. I look forward to being able to write a full review of this book, and bumping up the star rating.

Although I am dazzled by the number of characters that I was introduced to, I am anxious to find out more!

I want to know more. I want to know whatever secret Roux knows about Amy and just how awful it is. It’s almost painful how much this short extract enticed me into needing the whole book!
