I have been anxiously awaiting the newest arrival from Sariah Wilson, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The Friend Zone is a book that I know I will read over and over for its heart, humor and depth.

I fell in love with both lead characters. There's Logan, the swoon-worthy quarterback who is determined to do more with his life than the dysfunctional parents who raised him. Logan is strong and ambitious and totally driven to achieve his goals, but he's also incredibly caring and sensitive, not to mention hilarious and totally gorgeous. He's not looking for love, only for redemption and the chance to fulfill his dreams, but then he meets Jess and realizes how much he needs someone to care about him. And then there's Jess, a woman who has survived both the death of her mother and a vicious attack and betrayal that sent her spiraling into an identity crises. She hides behind her trust issues and overprotective father as an excuse not to put herself out there. That is, until Logan Hunt comes along and she finds her heart healing and her ability to trust and open up to someone returning.

There's just one problem: Logan and Jess are forbidden to date- her father is the football coach with a no nonsense set of rules for his players to follow, one of which prohibits dating. So for most of this story, Logan and Jess are trying to fight their attraction to each other and focus on staying in the Friend Zone. It's incredibly difficult for them, and nearly every scene between them is charged with the romantic tension they're barely holding back, which makes for some super hot chemistry. But mixed in with that are the delightful and touching layers to their relationship- the fun, easy friendship and the emotional depth they are able to share with each other.

It felt so satisfying to watch the progression of their relationship, which was a new twist on the best friends to lovers category within the romance genre. These two weren't long time best buddies who eventually realized they loved each other. These two were more "love at first sight", but because they couldn't act on it, they became best friends instead. Which, of course just made their love stronger in the end.

I will always, always, always buy everything Sariah writes, and I can't wait to read the stories of some of the fun and loveable side characters from this book. For now, if you're looking for a sweet, clean romance with plenty of heat and even more heart, The Friend Zone is the book for you!

As usual.... Sariah scores a touchdown with her football-based swoon-worthy book! I absolutely loved the characters, the premise, the outcome. She made me fall in love with the couple! Took me through the highs and the lows! I will be buying this one in paperback.... thank you very much!

I loved this book! The interaction between the two was so much fun. The connection between the two had major sizzle. I started reading and could not put it down. I highly recommend this book!

From the first moment Logan meets Jess, I am captivated. I love Jess's spunky personality and as the story progresses I enjoy the witty banter between the two. Another part of the story I enjoyed was the back stories for both Logan and Jess. They continue to do their best to overcome challenges they went through in the past to get to where they are. Stories of overcoming, make me happy.

That said, I could not understand the Jess/Ben story line. Seriously it rubbed me the wrong way. Here is this girl that has been through crap and has overcome falling for a guy that doesn't know who he is or what he wants. I felt Jess's character is so strong and confident why would she be drooling for her nemesis's leftovers.

In the end, both Jess and Logan each grow into mature adults who talk over the issues they face. It is a great story and I look forward to reading Logan's roommates' story next.

Slow burn but a good read. The main characters had an instant attraction but for a number of reasons didn’t act on it. They became friends first and the feelings grew from there. It’s not your typical college romance that is full of sex, drugs, lies, angst etc. but it was a really sweet story.

it didn't wow me and the story was predictable at best to be honest, it felt rushed and I was a little disappointed with it

I absolutely loved this book. I loved the way the characters and the lessons they learned. The way the situations were so real and the way they were dealt with . Definitely recommend to everyone to read.

Oh how I adore this author! Sariah can make you laugh, cry, and everything in between in one book. Not only that but she can make you feel chemistry between characters without ever putting in sex scenes or anything explicit. I LOVE that her books are clean without being prudish or unrealistic. This one is no exception!

What a refreshing and sweet friends to lovers romance!!! The Friend Zone follows Logan, a college football player who has fallen from grace and finds himself at EOL - or End of the Line as it is not so affectionately called. This community college’s football team is filled with great athletes who have done something to get them kicked out of their old schools, so the coach has some strict rules that they must follow if they want to keep their spot on the team. No drinking, no drugs, no swearing, no girls, etc. Logan is committed to doing what he needs to do to graduate with a degree and remain on the team. Unfortunately for Logan, he starts to develop very real feelings for his math tutor, Jess, who just so happens to be the coach’s daughter. They both know that they absolutely cannot date, so they develop a friendship instead. What follows is the sweet and endearing story of how these two strangers with great chemistry develop a solid foundation for their relationship by focusing on being friends.

While I love a steamy romance, I also loved that this book really keeps Logan true to his word to the coach - it’s a clean romance with no sex or swearing, but there is plenty of heat between the two characters and sexual tension throughout the book. Thank you, NetGalley, for introducing me to what I hope is the start of a New Adult series by providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. There are plenty of great supporting characters in this book and I would love to read more of their stories. These college athletes have been taken down a notch, so it’s everything I love in a great sports romance with heroes who understand just what’s at stake for them.

This was a good read. It was a real slow burn where the H &h became friends first, which was a refreshing change. Logan was a bit of a bad boy but wanted to change and he wanted to abide by the coach's rules, one of which was no dating (especially not the coach's daughter!). Logan and Jess had an instant connection that grew - it was sweet. There were not too many twists and turns - just a growing friendship with a lovely HEA. It would be good to get Bash's book - who is the girl??

Although he doesn't want to admit it, Logan can be a sensitive man, “sparkly and glittery?” I repeated, insulted. “Don’t you mean manly and … manly?” This was a sweet romance and I fell in love with Logan.

The Friend Zone is a sweet college sports romance with endearing characters and a healthy dose of humor. Coach Oakley is all about respect and has a list of strict rules that his team must follow - no swearing, no alcohol, no drugs, and no girls. Of course, this is something that most college students would have great difficulty with and so Jess and Logan attempt to ignore their growing romantic feelings and attraction and friend zone each other.

I loved Logan as a hero. He is a strong, caring, resilient character and would make the perfect book boyfriend. One cannot help, but love Logan’s humor, how he treats Jess, and how he tries to honor the coach’s rules. Jess is a survivor in that she experienced something terrible while attending another college, but she is ready to spread her wings. Like Logan, Jess is a very likable character. The two of them make a great couple and some of the banter between them was hilarious! While this book is a bit predictable, I enjoyed watching the two of these characters together. They were perfect for each other - truly understanding one another. The secondary characters were all entertaining as well - especially Bash’s creative way to get around cursing and then Ben. This book has likable, well-developed characters; is told from a dual POV; and moves at a good pace. If you have liked any of this author’s other books, then you will definitely enjoy The Friend Zone. I received this book for free.

I loved this book! It was my first time reading this author and it won’t be my last. Jess and Logan were perfect. I loved their love story. There aren’t sexy times in this book besides kissing, and I loved that about it. The author’s writing was also on point. I hope there are more to come in this series! When you've reached the end of the line, there's nowhere else to go but up, right? Logan has hit that end after a mistake gets him kicked out his original university, without a scholarship, and now, in an attempt to better himself and graduate he's willing to follow any rules that give him a second chance. His coach has three big rules, one of this is no dating. Especially his daughter Jess. But rules are meant to be broken...Right?

Most college romance stories are instalust or instalove with little character development and lots of parties. I was preparing myself for that. Sarah Wilson was not going to deliver to that expectation and I'm grateful.

She made a well written book that focused on the bonds of friendship and falling in love without any of the stereotypes and it was enjoyable. Definitely a book that you'll need a box of tissues to go with.

I had read a few Sariah Wilson novels in the past and was geeked to have the opportunity to read another! Happily, The Friend Zone continued the expected fun read that I've come to expect and appreciate.

I found the novel to be well written with an entertaining plot (as always) and the dialogue between the characters (primary characters as well as secondary) was amusing I found Jess, the female primary character, to be likeable, but enjoyably flawed (you could watch her mature throughout the novel and learn from her mistakes, if you will) and relateable.

All in all, it was a very quick, and fun, read. Can't wait for a future book by Sariah Wilson!

Every time I read a book by Sariah Wilson, I think the hero can't get any swoonier, and then she goes and writes another book and proves me wrong.

I was in love with Logan from almost the first page, and he broke my heart a little through the entire book. I am so glad Jess was worthy of him.

Looking forward to Bash's book.

This is Logan and Jess book, Logan is a college quarterback and he’s trying to make it into the NFL he’s got a bad temper and he’s at the end of the line it’s Seattle’s eat LOL college as a joke they call it end of the line LOL it’s Logan‘s last chance and he knows it the coach put down some serious rules! No parties no cursing no fighting and no women at all but Logan wants to do it he knows this is his last chance. Jess is the coaches daughter she helps her father out a lot with all the football players her and Logan end up being just friends but they have some serious chemistry. This book was a nice sweet read I did enjoy it I definitely like a little more heat in my books this is very low low steam factor so if you like very young adult books this one is definitely for you! It was well written it was a good read a little immature for my taste but it was still in decent read. Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!!

This is a sweet romance with a non-traditional twist that made it a delightful read. Logan is the talented football player and screw-up - so much so that he lost his scholarship and had to drop out of college. Then another coach reaches out to him and offers him the chance to play and go to school, but it comes with a catch.

Jess is the coach's daughter and, as part of the rules, is off limits to the football players.....but then Logan keeps getting thrown in Jess's orbit and they become friends and can never be anything more.

As difficult as the friend zone was for the characters to experience, as a reader it was refreshing to read about characters who became close without the instant sex prevalent in so many novels. Because of the rules, they were forced to focus on the non-physical aspects of their relationship. This made for a wonderful and entertaining book that fans of the genre will love. While this is for an adult reader, I would have allowed my daughter to read it when she was a teen - there was no sex and no swearing.
