I Know You're There by Sarah Simpson is a gripping tale of unexpected secrets and deadly twists. Following Natalie, a woman seeking safety and companionship in a cosy flat in St Ives, we quickly become wrapped up in the lives of her new neighbours. But Natalie knows better than anyone else that the people who are closest to you can also be the most dangerous, and soon she is uncovering the truth of the lives that unfold within the walls of the seemingly peaceful home. With a masterful plot that keeps the reader on their toes, I Know You're There is a heart-pounding, must-read story.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I love how the author builds the story by introducing four neighbours who share apartments in a Cornish town. Each character has an interesting backstory and you feel that they are all hiding secrets from the past. When mysterious notes start appearing the tension builds and then things get really chilling!

This is a slow-paced novel with excellent character development and clever plot which really keeps you guessing. I enjoyed the unique writing style and the different POVs with chapters ending on a cliffhanger which helped to introduce suspense. It is well thought out, character-driven, and makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end!

I found this to be a really good read. I like short chapters. Tick! I like different narratives. Tick tick!
Starts off with a punch and carries on. Especially pleased with the ending. Won’t spoil it but it goes this stand-alone novel off.

Unfortunately I just couldn't click with the writing in this book and I had to DNF it as I was really struggling. 've see plenty of fantastic reviews for this book though so it may be worth reading through these.

his book got off to a really slow and confusing start and never really got any better for me.

I will say that the author did a great job of leaving the reader feeling pretty off balanced and never quite sure exactly what was happening.

This one really just didn't work for me.

Tension was built very slowly throughout the book. The character of Natalie is well written and I found myself questioning what was reality and not, I was guessing throughout which I think it a good thing. A cast of characters making up her neighbours, all were interesting and yet grabbed my interest. Typically seeming to be supportive, I questioned if any had hidden motives.
Enjoyed the writing style and will definitely be looking to read more by the author.

I enjoyed this book about Natalie and her three neighbors who each have an apartment in the building. Each person has had their share of past family traumas and are currently dealing with issues that they would rather keep private, however, each one is receiving strange notes from someone who seems to know what each person may be hiding. A good domestic drama with a little mystery/suspense thrown in. I thank Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was another book that I had a hard time putting down, and with my hectic work and family schedule it can be hard during the summer to make time to read.

This is the story of neighbors who all live in the same apartment building and their relationships with each other,When the neighbors start receiving postcards from someone who seems to know a lot of personal information about them, mistrust, paranoia and suspension starts to spread throughout the house. I enjoyed reading this novel and while the story dragged at times I would recommend this book.

St Ives (Cornwall), a small block of flats where the inhabitants all know each other very well, but not as well as they think. Great location, enticing cover with an intriguing storyline, so why only 2 stars? I just did not like how it was written at all. So slow to get going, maybe shorter would have made it much more readable ( for me at least). Sorry but this particular book wasn’t for me on this occasion.

Thanks to NetGalley for an early copy in return for an honest review
A very good read and one I can highly recommend to others.
I could not put this down.
Thoroughly enjoyable with an amazing cast of characters that you cannot help but engage with.

Four roommates, all of them with their own secrets. Natalie comes from an abusive childhood, Daniel is sweet but always afraid, Mo is the steadfast motherly one and Nigel is old reliable. This is a very slow-paced story, and Natalie spends the whole book worrying -0 about everything! And someone knows all their secrets and keeps them in suspense trying to figure out who is leaving them these revealing notes. Thank you to the publisher and #NetGalley for allowing me to read this story.

I really wanted to love this one but I had a hard time getting into it and following along! I did enjoy the end but I feel like I missed out on a lot and I probably need to reread it again and see if I can make more sense the second time around. So, 3 for now with the option to up or lower later when I reread.
I can say that I will search out more of Sarah's books to see what else she has to offer. I feel like I could really love her stuff...just not this one.

Thank you netgalley. Nat, Mo, Daniel, and Nigel each have an apartment in a four apartment building. They have all become friendly, but what do they really know about each other. They all have their secrets. What will they learn about each other, as they all discover they are receiving notes from some "unknown" person. Read this and find out.
