A suspenseful look into the lives of other peoples secrets. We all have private things we don’t share, but what if someone knows...and so begins the alarming spiral into distrust and fear for a group of 4 tenants. The ending didn’t provide the shock element it promised for me, I figured it out earlier, but there were still some surprises along the way. Great writing, believable characters and a few twists. A good read.

I Know You're There has a great plot, but the book is slow and complex because of too many characters. That being said if you stick it out the ending is good.

This is a great book about four neighbors who live in the same house, separate flats, and who may all be in some sort of danger. There's Natalie, who is dating the landlord and dealing with someone in her life who may be coming back to haunt her. Then there's her good, older friend, Mo, who has her own past that could become exposed. There's Nigel, a straitlaced gent who lives on the first floor. He's quiet, but kind in a serious sort of way. Is he only acting unassuming? Then there's Daniel, a young, naive man whose past haunts him even though he tries to escape it and make life better. These four individuals become unlikely friends through all of their challenges, but danger is lurking just around the corner. Is it for all of them, or just one?

I really enjoyed reading this book and learning the stories of the four neighbors. The writing is excellent. It seems like a long book based on the story moving slowly but surely to its conclusion. I mean that in the most positive way. You slowly learn about the characters and their secrets/past, and it is totally fine because you will be completely invested by the time it ends. I would give this a solid 4.5 stars (rounded to 5) and I'm eager to read more from this author.

Thanks to author Sarah Simpson, Aria Publishing, and NetGalley for an ARC.

I read half of this and didn't finish. It seemed too long and drawn out. I kept thinking we must be nearing the end and then would see I was only at 37% or something. I did not relate to the characters, and I felt like I knew at least partly how it was going to end (I can't say for sure if I was correct because I didn't feel like reading to find out).

Thank you NetGalley for giving me this opportunity to read the book. The writing was good, but the narrative a bit slow for my taste.

I really struggled at the start of I Know You're There, it wasn't how I expected and took me a while to be fully engaged with the story. I'm glad I stuck with it! I am chilled to the bone after finishing this. A strong 3.5 out of 5

Good book based around the lives of people who share a house devided into flats. Quirky characters that the author portrays very well. A mystery ensue when sinister postcards arrive for the occupant.

5 stars! This book was so dark and so emotionally charged! There were times I was so lost inside this book that I actually spooked myself out! What an awesome plot, so well written and the end did justice to the beginning and middle! The characters were so REAL and the twist was Unforgettable!
Thank you #NetGalley, the author and the publisher for my free ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
And I would like to give 5 stars for the cover too. Gives me chills looking at it now that I know the story!

Natalie learned at an early age not to trust anyone, but now she’s an adult and she’s made new friends at her apartment building. Nigel, Daniel and Morwenna aren’t quite what they appear. Some people can never be trusted

I was really looking forward to reading this book the blurb intrigued me and it sounded like my cup of tea, however sadly I found it a bit slow and struggled to get into the story line. Thank you to netgalley for my copy of this book.

This book was a big disappointment. Very long and boring and characters that weren’t likeable. They all acted very immature and childish. The title is what grabbed my attention but the storyline fell flat. Would not recommend. Thank you netgalley for letting me give an honest review of this book.

Paranoid, anxious Natalie, motherly Mowenna, serious, reliable Nigel and sweet, anxious Daniel. Four individuals who have flats in a large house in St Ives and who over time have become like a little family. Each one has their own personal issues, each has hidden secrets but is one of them not who they appear to be?

When the friends start receiving postcards from someone who seems to know a lot of personal information about them, mistrust, paranoia and suspension starts to spread throughout the house.

The tension builds, culminating in a deadly confrontation and one of the most shocking, mind blowing, unexpected twists that I have read in a very long time.

The chapters alternated between Natalie,Moweena and Daniel, three believable, complex characters who had very realistic issues. Sarah Simpson's descriptions of the daily struggles faced by people who live with mental issues were spot on. I know because I personally live with anxiety and paranoia and know how tough it is to get through the days when the anxious part of your brain is attempting to convince you that things are not as they appear to be or someone is lying to you and you are wrong to trust them. All four of the main characters had flaws but also had redeemable qualities. They were all likeable but I also had my doubts about each one of them as the twists and turns of the story unfolded. Apart from.the housemates, there was also three other characters who could have been the sender of the cards. There was Natalie's ex convict father and her seemingly, controlling boyfriend Mark who was also hiding a secret. There was also.my least favourite character, nasty, twisted, sinister Jacob. But who was sending the cards and why?

I Know You're There is a enthralling, character driven thriller with a very ingenious title and tag line and a story that keeps the reader guessing until towards the end of the book. Sarah Simpson lives in beautiful Cornwall which is where she also sets her stories. You can tell from her breath taking descriptions of the gorgeous scenery and settings that feature in her well written, complex, unpredictable thrillers that she really loves where she lives. I love Sarah Simpson's books and would happily recommend them.to anyone who.enjoys reading seriously, gripping psychological thrillers.

Gosh, but, this is complicated! There are so many characters, each having their own dedicated chapter that it was hard to keep track and, to be honest, I didn’t care enough about them anyhow.
Also, despite an ending that wrapped things up, I was left feeling disappointed somehow.
Just, not for me.
Thanks for the opportunity to preview.

This is an interesting albeit slow mystery thriller.
It deals with a bunch of neighbors in a building, each with their secrets and ulterior motives. There are also several twists and turns to maintain the suspense.

However, I thought there were too many characters with their back stories and alternate chapters dedicated to each of them, and this confused me a bit and slowed down the pace. I'd have preferred less characters and a quicker pace, but this didn't stop me from finishing the book.

Thanks Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say I was disappointed that I didn't enjoy this book more, I loved the sound of it,but I soon found it was too slow. Also I didn't really take to the characters, I felt it could have been shorter and the pace could have been picked up.I am however an impatient reader and someone who enjoys a slower paced book may enjoy it more than I did,I hope so.Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for an ARC.

This is the story of neighbours who all live in the same apartment building and their relationships with each other. Natalie who has recently moved in has made friends with some of them but are they trustworthy?
There are a lot of characters in this book and the author dedicates alternative chapters to each one so that we get to know them. This make the story slow and some off the characters stories didn't engage me at all.
Thank you to NetGalley and Aria for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I know You're There. The story was good. Just seemed too long and made the book a long read. I ended up, of course, finding most people secrets, but it let me hanging in odd ways.
Thanks to NetGalley for the advance read.
