Very cute book for someone younger that is interested in drawing. I would def get this book for my young son to draw animals, he would absolutely love this. I love how each page gives you details on how to do different techniques. |
Well, this is so much fun! The animals really do look cute, I love the use of different patterns. I just wish the how to draw part was more detailed, using shapes instead of just showing lines and then it's done. |
This art book is brilliant for the budding artist in your life. It shows each step for building animals, while giving tips on how to make the animals unique. |
Draw 62 Animals and Make Them Cute takes you step to drawing a variety of animals. The walkthroughs are textless, and I prefer just having photos if I had to choose between pictures or words. There are a handle fll f tips through out the book, in case you are a word reader. After the basic animal walkthrough, a page includes inspiration of each anima encouraging you to use your imagination to go past the basic drawing. This book made it easy for me to break down these drawing and have a good time while drawing. |
Draw 62 Animals and Make Them Cute is a tutorial doodle-art/drawing guide by Heegyun Kim. Released 26th March 2019 by Quarto on their Quarry imprint, it's 128 pages and available in paperback format. I'm a huge fan of drawing tutorial books and collect them like crazy despite not being (in my own estimation) gifted artistically. This makes me especially appreciative of art books and techniques suited to beginning artists. This little book is exactly as described. There are step by step tutorials for 62 different animals with different variations and poses for each one. There is a 'you try it' balloon on each page for reader drawings. This would make a great gift for would-be artists of all ages. The included animal tutorials are varied and eclectic with appearances from alpacas (see cover) to pufferfish and capybaras. There is no additional introductory technique or materials instruction; the book just includes the 62 animals. There is a complete table of contents, so locating individual animals shouldn't be problematic. The tutorials are slanted toward line drawings, though colored pens, crayons, and watercolors could certainly be used to enhance the line drawings. Cute book, accessible for everyone. Five stars. |
I received a digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Draw 62 Animals and Make Them Cute is exactly that...an easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide to drawing 62 adorable animals. But on top of that Heegyum Kim points out what makes these animals appear so cute and teaches you how to to do it. So in addition to copying the animals shown in the book you'll be able to create your own loveable critters! Plus Heegyum Kim's illustration style is delightful (definitely check her out on Instagram if you haven't already). I'd recommend this book for anyone learning to draw or wanting practice in drawing cute illustrated animals. |
I received a DIGITAL Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸. Build your drawing and character design skills while following the step-by-step instructions of Draw 62 Animals and Make Them Cute. Beloved illustrator and Instagrammer Heegyum Kim takes you on a fun journey to expand your character-building skills as she shows you how to draw 62 animals and make them cute! On the left-hand page, follow along with the steps as each animal moves from simple shapes to identifying marks. On the right-hand page, you will find several other clever options for varying your character design. You might change the view, the animal's posture, their accessories, or their expression. Grab your pen and use the open spaces throughout the book to create your own versions and variations of each one. Whether it's a playful platypus, an adorable sloth, or a scintillating chinchilla—you will delight in the charm of this animal collection. Fresh, modern, and with a dash of clever anthropomorphic humour, you won't find a more enjoyable way to practice your illustration and expand your imagination. This was a great little book to learn how to draw cute animals: the steps were clearly shown and it was easy to make those animals: I cannot draw worth a darn and I managed to make some cute little animals on my own. This is a perfect book for the artsy in your life: whether young or old, they can get a lot out of this book. As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I love emojis (outside of their incessant use by Millennials on Instagram and Twitter) so let's give it 🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨 |
