There wasn't anything especially new here for me in terms of the overall ideas, but I very much enjoyed this book. It shows not just how much TV has influenced an electorate into voting for a madman, it also shows how that madman is a product of television in his own right. Trump was never a businessman - just a millionaires kid who lost a lot of money but portrayed himself as a successful businessman on TV.

This thoughtful book unlocks aspects of themytery at the heart of america - just how could they vote for this charlatan.

Highly recommended.

Big thanks to the publisher and all at netgalley for allowing me to read a review copy of this book.
