Thank you to Netgalley, publisher and author for the advance copy of this book

I loved the plot, I loved the characters, definitely psychological and loads of suspense. I don't want to give anything away.

This is the first book I have read by Cass Green and won't be the last.

Thanks to Netgalley for the loan of this book.
I read cass' first book and loved it so was eager to read this. It is a bit of a slow starter, but the easy style of writing helped me race through it and I was soon turning the pages with anticipation and eagerness.
This book is told from the view of 2 different characters which leaves you uncertain of their connection initially, but then you grasp the link and want to keep reading to learn the outcome.
I won't give any spoilers, just read the synopsis for an idea as to whether you want to read it, but I will say that you will thoroughly enjoy this book. It's not as good as her first book, but still a great thriller. Go and buy it.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this Arc. Sadly I found this very hard going! I had to read over half of it before it finally took off! The first half of the book was just so confusing and I thought disjointed! I just couldn't connect at all!

Amazing 5 star read . Read in 24 hours tells you how much I enjoyed this book, hooked from page one . I Loved the authors style of writing. Strong characters each with there own story but entangled with each other in some way. It’s twisty and unpredictable, Flitting between past and present and with an explosive ending I did not see coming makes this a must read for any thriller fan.
You love me. But do you really know me?
A perfect marriage,A perfect liar.....

For once I did not read the blurb before starting this book, which made a refreshing change for me. I love Cass Green’s books so I knew I was in for a treat!!

We meet Anya and Elliott who are happily married but come from very different backgrounds. Anya comes from a privileged family, whereas Elliott was bought up in a council flat with his mother. The one thing they have in common is that they are both hiding secrets from each other!! Definitely what you see is not what you get with beautiful, sweet Anya!!!

The story is told from several people’s point of view. We meet Irene whose son Michael has disappeared after he finds out why his brother Liam vanished years before. We alternate between timelines as the pasts of Elliott and Anya are revealed.

I was gripped by this book and read it in one sitting. Love the twists and how all the stories fit together like a giant jigsaw puzzle.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for a review.

I really enjoyed this book

At first I did not like Elliot and thought he was quite whinny. I thought that Elliot was going to be the one who had done very serious things in his past that we’re coming back to haunt him

Anya was very annoying character and I did not warn to her at all

The book had me guessing what had happened and I felt it was a great page turner

Books like this are why I enjoy the psychological thriller genre, the feeling of being so engrossed in a book that I want to stop everything I’m doing and just read. I finished this book in a day and couldn’t put it down. It’s packed with suspense, has a pacy and twisty plot, and the characters become more intriguing with every chapter as pieces of information about their past are revealed, like a trail of bait for the reader.

The novel is told from the alternative point of view of Elliott and Irene and both have compelling stories to tell. The connection between the two characters is not revealed until some way into the story, and Elliott is thrown into a moral dilemma. However with his own terrible secrets, he is in no position to judge other people. The more the story unfolds, the higher the stakes for the characters and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, particularly as there are some things the reader finds out first. There’s quite a lot going on in Elliott’s life and I liked the way Cass Green uses original ways to describe emotions. “This bag of pain that I had carried like a dead weight for all these years.” “Odd sense were were living in a permanent held breath."

The novel is set in a seaside town and in parts of London. I loved the vivid descriptions of gritty, deprived neighbourhoods, and troubled characters. Some of the characters are not particularly likeable, but that works because the reader is able to connect with their story. And Anya - for example - just isn’t very nice yet people close to her want to protect her. I sympathised with Irene, and the book brings to life her emotions and experiences.

Overall a great read. I’ve read some of Cass Green’s other books (In a Cottage in a Wood, The Woman Next Door), and this is a writer whose work stands out for me in the genre.

Another fantastic psychological thriller from an author who knows how to weave an intriguingly dark and twisted tale. Top notch.

Unfortunately I did not finish this book.
Let's start with the positives; I loved the writing, the characters were vivid and felt real, I liked the range of perspectives and that there was more than one mystery at once.
Despite this I unfortunately just wasn't very compelled; what I read of this book I had seen before and there was nothing that really caught my attention and pushed my to carry on. When I stopped reading I found it hard to pick back up and so have decided not to continue right now - I feel if I force myself to carry on I am not going to enjoy it and that is not fair on the book or the author, especially because I do like the writing style a lot.
I would like to revisit this book, and am still intrigued by the premise but feel I cannot finish it right now.

This book was very good, it was a different take on a relationship story with dark undertones.
I enjoyed it and it makes a good read.
How do you ever know your partner? What secrets do they hide?
You will enjoy discovering the whole truth.....

With thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC, which I have enjoyed reading.
This was a very interesting psychological thriller by Cass Green, The Killer Inside was full of twists and turns, lies and deceit and was a very clever, entertaining and interesting read.
Anastasia or Anya as she was known was a female without remorse who killed and threatened people without any concern for right or wrong or the consequences of her behaviour on other people. Patrick and Julia would always be there to help conceal what she had done.
It is after her marriage to Elliott and the birth of her child, Olivia that everything comes to a head and she and her parents must pay the consequences of her behaviour.
Highly recommended.

I really liked the cover. It is very appealing designed. The writing style is pleasant and very fluently to read. The characters are very well described and look well thought out and consistently interesting. The tension is always present. The descriptions of surroundings, feelings and scenes were also very good. The story is told pleasant and it succeeds from the first pages to dive directly into the story. The storyline as a whole is very coherent and it seems very understandable and authentic. A very fascinating story that you won't like to stop reading.

A truly thought provoking book
How far would you go for your child? Would you lie for them ? Would you help cover up terrible things?
I read this book have to say I had no idea what was going to happen next, like a ball of wool the lies and horror unrolled
I thought would I do what Anya s parents did for her? I cannot tell you as I hope never to be in such a position but this book made me think and will do for a long time

This honestly had me gripped by the end of the first chapter. The characters are cleverly drawn, with more layers than an onion! I'd find myself planning on reading for an hour before bed, only to sit up all night reading, unable to put my kindle down.
Brilliantly written, with excellent characters, this really is one book, everyone should read!

A hard book to review as it was very good, unexpected and a twist but what do you write without giving anything away? So I'm sorry my reviews are short for this one. I do recommend it though as it kept me up half the night reading it.
