Really enjoyed this sweet story.
For their own different reasons, Aaron and Kelsey decide to have an anonymous one night stand without sharing names… but it turns out they will cross paths again. After that, they start knowing each other (without the secret being out) and things develop from there.
What I liked the most about the story was the journey for these two characters and the friendship dynamics with others. A few things said and done (specially by Aaron) also had a positively impact on me.
In addition, the story also shows appearances can be deceiving. Aaron struggles with the people in his life that judges without having all the information. While me, as a reader, had a slightly negative very first impression of the characters (mostly linked to what they said and thought about themselves). Later I started understanding them more and more and connecting with their thoughts, fears, happiness and frustrations.
Overall, I really enjoyed this journey and would definitely recommend.

Quick wit and lots of fun. I loved the concept and the flow of this story. Keeps you on your toes enough to want to know what will happen next!

This was my first ever book by Ms. Harper and The (Secret) Baby definitely won’t be the last! This was fun, a bit angsty and it had me smiling the whole time.

We start off meeting Kelsey having a very bad day, which leads to Kelsey having a very nice encounter with her best friend’s bachelorette party’s doctor-dressed-stripper. They say no names, just one night of fun. So when Kelsey realizes she is now pregnant by the nameless doctor-stripper she can’t believe her luck. Ha! She is in for one giant whopper. The stripper, not actually a stripper at all, but an actual doctor with a Ph.D., is non-other than her cousin’s best friend and the best man at the wedding that she’s the maid of honor at.

Aaron can’t believe the sexy redhead he can’t stop thinking about is the one his best-friend told him was off-limits… well, it’s a bit too late for that! He just hopes that Kelsey will give him a chance to change her mind about men.

Kelsey and Aaron’s chemistry was amazing, and when they were open with each other it was the sweetest thing. Kelsey had snark to go for miles, she was funny as hell and could be sweet, but her close-off-ness and quickness to judge made me want to slap her a couple of times. I could understand were her issues were coming from, but I still lost my patience with her a couple of times.

Aaron was a nice guy. Tired of people not taking him seriously and jumping to incorrect conclusions about pretty much every aspect of his life, he just didn’t bother to correct anyone. He was caring and sweet, smart and funny but he could still get sexy-bossy.

While I really loved them both and their relationship the main issue between them was lack of open communication, and then both of them taking turns at being immature butt heads. This part was absolutely exasperating. EXASPERATING! Fortunately, they both remove their heads from their rectums and straighten things out to give me an HEA.

With the best snark and banter, an accidental pregnancy and the worst stripper ever, The (Secret) Baby a really fun read that had me smiling like a loon and LOLing in the middle of the night. I do need to let it be known that there are no explicit sextivities… which is a shame as Aaron had a really big d-uck.

This entire story is based on wrong assumptions and miscommunication, two things I hate in books. Aaron is a lackluster main dude going through life without ever speaking up and Kelsey just assumes the worst in every situation instead of getting to the truth right away. It took me nine days to get through this story. That is never a good sign.

One Night Stand with Consequences!!!

I have read several books now by this author which I’ve absolutely loved- including her prior release called "The Half Truth" which contains crossover characters with this book, but sadly I just didn’t either love or enjoy this one nearly as much.
It's hard to explain but there were some parts or aspects of this story and it's main characters that I simply couldn’t connect with and over time I found myself waging a losing battle to maintain interest with the story as a whole. Oh well!!

This is a talented author though and that's just my personal take on this particular book so I do recommend trying either "The Half Truth" first or my all time favorite by Leddy Harper- "Kiss My Ash" ( a beautiful read) .

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn't a fan of this book, unfortunately.

This trope typically is right up my alley, but I had issues with the heroine's maturity and personality--which was very distracting.

It was cute, steamy, sweet, and an engrossing read! Although I don't feel like the pregnancies were depicted quite accurately, everything aside from that was great.

This story was written a dual first person narrative where characters are described directly. The major conflicts are internal and external as characters battle themselves and society norms. The popular themes shown throughout include circle of life, facing reality, family, and fear of failure, female roles, growing up, and hazards of passing judgment, motherhood, progress and self-preservation.

Kelsey Peterson is a single stager who has sworn off love, who is often annoyed by her meddlesome family. She now has play the role of maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding who is marrying her cousin. Aaron Baucus is neuropsychologist who knows nothing about women. He is close with parents but will soon find himself homeless and needs to play the role of best man for a friend’s wedding. A bachelorette party is supposed to be a night of fun but one late stripper and the bride to be bails should have been Kelsey’s first clue that this night was doomed. Though she was determined to have a good time, enter Aaron who has been lured under false pretenses by a good friend. After the disaster bachelorette party, Kelsey discovers her best friend is pregnant and then discovers so is she, but has no way to contact Aaron, the stripper. Good thing fate decided to meddle, because Aaron and Kelsey are both standing up for the same couple and her cousin has managed to convince her to let Aaron stay with her as a roommate. The real question becomes how does Kelsey tell Aaron about the pregnancy when she woke up with a condom wrapper stuck to her face?

The ideas were interesting and unique while the voices where individualized for the characters but complemented one another. The sentence structure and word choice help to enhance the overall story. Yes, I would recommend this story. For those interested in couples growing, best friends having each other’s back, twist and turns should give this one a try. For those not interested in family meddling, keeping secrets, meaningless hookups, and insta-love stories may want to look elsewhere.

A light and feel-good story. This is a perfect summer read. The theme made it easy to predict the ending but it still is an enjoyable reading experience. If you need a pick-me-up book, pull this out.

This was a fun quick read. I laughed a lot and enjoyed readying this book.

Kelsey hooks up with a stripper at her best friend’s bachelorette party. She never thought she would end up pregnant and never expected to see here stripper again. Her one nightstand ends up being her new roommate and a doctor. This was a fun book and I really enjoyed it.

Read in a single setting (like 2 hrs). Very fast paced, typical steamy romance. Thanks NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review!

To be perfectly honest, I was 'okay' with this book. Sure, it was cute and sweet at points, but I was never really blown away by it nor did I ever truly feel like I was fully immersed or connected with it. For what reasons, I'm not quite sure. Perhaps the storyline didn't 'click' with me, perhaps it was the concept or all of the secrecy that didn't sit right with me, but for whatever reason, it just didn't fully click.
Don't get me wrong, it was definitely a nice novel - short, sweet and cute at points, with fairly dynamic characters, who are very clearly human. They make mistakes, and of course, they make up. Kelsey and Aaron were sweet together, but I just found myself getting annoyed at them for how many dang secrets there were.
Anyways, it was a nice read, but in short - not the most amazing one I've read ever.

4.5 Stars / 4 Steam Fans

What happens when your one night stand is absolutely amazing and you can't stop thinking about the person but you both agreed to no names? This is that story! It is funny, sexy, sweet, and touching. I loved every second of this book. Kelsey and Aaron had great chemistry and even though it took me a second to remember how they fit together, I still really enjoyed the journey.

This is a fun entertaining, easy to read romantic comedy with great characters, it has everything I love in a good read, a sassy smart heroine with a potty mouth and a loveable nice hero and once you add in all the misunderstandings you get some hilarious moments.
When the bride can’t attend her own bachelorette party Kelsie steps up and pretends to be the bride after all why cancel a great party and a stripper but when the stripper fails to turn up its Aaron who steps up and takes the strippers place and that’s when the fun and games really begin .....
An instant attraction between two people both pretending to be someone else, never expecting to meet again and who never even exchange names becomes so much more when a one night stand produces a baby....
This book has it all, it’s funny, it’s sweet yet steamy and for me it makes the perfect holiday read.

2.5 stars. This is my first read by Leddy Harper. I loved the premise and the secret baby story line. There were many moments I laughed and enjoyed. I realized that this book was most likely part of a series. But elements of Aaron's character annoyed. It seemed as if he was desperate and contented to get with anyone. Who wants a 'hero' who makes advances and is rejected by so many others? And, a neuropsychologist unsure of himself? Really? Kelsey didn't come off as a man-hater to me and I enjoyed her scenes with her mother. Of course, there were ups and downs to their happy-ever-after but I still wondered if Aaron was in love with this woman or if he was doing the honorable thing.
Thank you, Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the trope of secret babies but it can be very hit or miss. This book was definitely a hit for me. I feel like Leddy Harper did a great job at bringing out emotions. Would definitely read another book by her
