Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). This was a real edge of your seat thriller, with so many twists and turns, you wont know which way is up! Fantastic and gripping read!

The third Caelan Small book, it's definitely a good idea to read the two books before this one so you can follow everything that's going on.

Time to Go sees Caelan investigating a case involving people trafficking and drugs. She ends up having to go undercover to track down a missing girl, which sees her falling into more trouble than ever before.

It's a solid book with solid writing, not anything particularly out of the ordinary, but it's enjoyable and if you liked the other books in the series, you'll love this one.

his is the third in the Detective Caelan Small series, and I suggest your read the previous books in the series. Just to make sure you don't miss anything! The book was very well written, and entertaining until the very last word! Recommended.

This is the third in the Detective Caelan Small series (I'm sure I'm saying her name wrong in my head) and she's as on the ball as always. Caelan had a fair amount of ups and downs during over the last two books and let's be fair its not much easier for her in this book. Every instalment makes me worry more for her, she has a liking for danger which I hope won't bite her on the butt.

One of the things that I like about this author is her willingness to delve into some of the more disturbing subjects and Time To Go is no different this time its people trafficking and drugs, It seems as if they go hand in hand to a degree, Going undercover searching for a missing girl knowing its going to be tough although its going to be tougher than she thinks this time as there's skulduggery afoot.

Anyone who reads my reviews will know that I would advise that you read the previous books in the series. I feel that doing this gives us an insight into the main protagonists psyche and background. I have already recommended this to my bookworm family and friends that like a decent police procedural.

Another fantastic book from Lisa Hartley. I love this series, and this book was probably my favourite yet. I genuinely worried for Caelan in this book. I hope there are going to be more in the series because that cliffhanger ending is still haunting me and I need some resolution.

First up a word of warning, while I’ll do my utmost not to spoil Time To Go it’s impossible to discuss without some spoilers from the previous books. While it’s possible to read Time To Go without having read the two previous novels in the series I would certainly recommend reading them both, or as the minimum picking up Tell No Lies, the second book in the series to get a better understanding of the background to this book. So now you’ve been warned and it’s time to leave if you don’t want earlier books spoiled!

Following on from the events at the end of Tell No Lies Caelan has quit the force for a second time, enjoying the peace that comes from hiding away at Ewan’s cottage in Wales she’s surprised to get home to find her former boss Ian Penrith sitting waiting for her. Caelan is quite convinced she has no wish to rejoin the force but when Penrith shows her the images of three dead girls, victims of a trafficking ring they’re trying to break, and shares that the innocent sister of James Mulligan is in danger she finds herself returning as a consultant to go undercover with James, who has been released from prison to cooperate with the investigation.

Time To Go deals with some subjects than can be difficult to read, drug and human trafficking feature heavily but as I don’t mind my crime on the dark side I found it a really gripping read. I confess the ending really snuck up on me, there was a lot of build up and seeming dead ends and then suddenly I was 90% of the way through the book and the end was upon me. As I’ve now come to expect from Lisa there’s a bit of a cliffhanger relating to Caelan’s personal life right at the end of the book – she gets me with them every time! There had best be a book 4 on the way!

I really like Caelan’s character in general, she’s been through a fair amount just in the books, not taking into account the things that happened previously. She genuinely cares, and while others may play on this to get her to take on operations she’d rather not I still think it’s a positive. I also find it really interesting to get an insight into how working undercover affects her, the loneliness that can accompany it, and the idea that no one really knows you or would miss you if you were gone.

After Ewan spent much of Tell No Lies recovering from his injuries it was great seeing him taking a more prominent role in this book, he was one of my favourites in the first book. I thought it was really interesting to get the contrasting viewpoints between Caelan, the experienced undercover office, and Ewan who is still new to the job. I’m really intrigued to see what’s next for both of these characters going forward.

Final Thoughts
Another great installment in the Caelan Small series from Lisa Hartley. It was great to see Ewan back playing a significant role, and after the ending I’m very much hoping for a book 4!

Gritty thriller with lots of nasty characters and lots of twists.Quite an enjoyable story with an all too believable plot and surprising end.

Lisa Hartley is fast becoming one of my favourite female authors she absolutely knows how to tell a story and keep her audience interested.
Caelan Small is coerced back into the Met to go back undercover to try and infiltrate a potential human trafficking ring.
As the covert investigation continues to unfold a menage of unsavoury characters Caelan suspects that information is being leaked which could put the whole investigation in danger as well as her survival.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

A gripping and well written thriller. It's the first I read in this series and won't surely be the last.
I liked the well written cast of characters and the engrossing and entertaining plot.
I look forward to reading other books in this series.

This is book 3 to feature undercover detective Caelan Small and it is fast becoming a very good series. Caelan goes under cover with a vicious drug dealer whose sister goes missing, when she uncovers human trafficking. As she is drawn into the search for the missing girl, she discovers that someone is leaking information and her life is in danger. Very good character development, fast paced and plenty tension make this another excellent read from the author. I would recommend this series of books. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

I really enjoyed this book. Caelan Small is a brilliant character, I could see fans of Kim Stone liking her as well! Well written it kept me interested until the end. I’ll be sure to look out for this author again!

A fast paced crime thriller about an undercover detective. An easy read with plenty of twists and turns but it just did not grab me. I did persevere and finish it. Saying that I am sure other readers will enjoy it more. Just not for me.

This is an absolutely cracking undercover detective thriller. I adore Caelan and think that while her choices and actions are somewhat questionable at times, her conviction and reasoning are always sound. She stands for so much more than just detective work; she stands for women and victims through and through. What a story in which I didn't know which way to turn or who to trust and the ending is a right slap in the face in the best kind of way. This is a refreshingly brilliant detective novel.

This book was very well written. Nice and easy to read and flowed well. Had me on the edge of my seat. Wondering which way it was going to go. Great mystery can’t beat it.

Disappointing read. I have read other books by this author so I was expecting more.
It has not put me off reading other books by this author as everyone is allowed an off day

A great little read. Packed full of action and suspense. I really enjoyed this book short enough to read in a day with a satisfying ending.
