Wow! I got swept up in this book and had to keep reading to find out what would happen next. The story is split into four parts and I honestly didn’t see the plot twists coming. Some of the scenes were a bit uncomfortable to read, but on the whole, I really enjoyed this book. I definitely recommend this book. Thank you #netgalley.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy of this book. The description sounded great! however, a lot of this book was predictable to me. The baby, the dad etc. While the two perspectives were nice, it was basically a repeat and i skimmed most of part II. It maybe would have been better to switch to another perspective moving forward vs restating the same exact parts.

I loved the premise of this novel. I loved the twist and I enjoyed the easy reading style of the author's writing. However, I found it hard to understand the reasoning behind the actions of the female lead character in this and for this reason I didn't find the book as enjoyable as I perhaps might have done. The subject matter is a serious one and it is important that it was raised but the actions, to me, were inexplicable.

It starts with just the usual story of boy meets girl. Bella and Ben meet fall in love, get married, and have a child and then the story really starts...

This is a well paced psychological thriller, with perfectly timed twists. I liked the way that Part 1 is from Ben’s perspective and then it switches to Part 2 from Bella’s perspective with the 3rd part bringing us in to the present.

As the story progresses enough teasers and twists are dropped in to keep you interested and reading.

If you like psychological thrillers this is definitely worth a read.

Oh I love this book so much!

Part One of the story follows Ben who has just been dumped by his girlfriend of 12 years. He then meets Bella and everything moves very quickly. She falls pregnant, they have a shotgun wedding but her behaviour gets stranger and stranger. Bella is controlling Ben, emotionally abusing him which turns to physical abuse too. She cuts him off from his friends and family.

In Part Two of the book, we read the exact same story as Part One but this time it is from Bella's perspective and you just love to hate her. I read this through Kindle so it is linear but I have heard that in printed versions you are told to flip the book around and read it again? I need to get my hands on a physical copy when they are published!

It's such a great read and it's sad to follow Ben's story of domestic abuse. It's filled with twists which I absolutely love.

Warner dives straight in with the emotional strings from the outset in 'She' and never lets go. This modern day family novel is rife with revenge, loathing, love etc and the plot continually hints at something deeper amiss. The characters are strong and help to ensure the reader's belief in a situation many may find difficult to believe.
My only misgiving was that, when the story is later retold from the perspective of the second main character, I found myself skipping chunks as it felt a little repetitive - even though I understood Warner's aim to get me seeing the situation from an entirely different angle.
Overall, a book to recommend to all those who enjoy family mysteries and entanglements.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ (Harper Collins Publishers) for this copy in exchange for an honest review.

SHE is unhinged, desperate and dangerous. I was captivated by the way the story of Ben and Bella unfolded and particularly liked how half way through you got to hear the other sides thoughts.
Women on men domestic abuse is not usually discussed and is often swept under the carpet as men are supposed to be the stronger sex, but it does happen and is something that needs more awareness raising about. This book does that and shows the slow spiral and control that the abuser has over the abused.
I was pleased with the ending and hope that anyone reading this book, whether they be male or female, that is in a similar situation sees that there is always a way out. Talk to someone you trust and dont put up with it, you are worth more!

When Ben meets the stunning Bella shortly after a break-up with his long-term partner, Charlotte, he can hardly believe his luck. She seems perfect! As time goes on, and Bella reveals her true colours, he realises that all is not as it seems. Bella is determined to cut him off from his friends and family, meaning she has him all to herself.

I loved this book. Loved the writing style, loved the storyline, loved the story-telling from different perspectives. Loved, loved, loved it all! Thrilling, edge-of-your-seat, truly gripping fiction!

I really enjoyed this book. Ben meets and falls madly in love with Bella. When she announces she is pregnant, they get married. But it soon becomes apparent that all is not well with Bella. She immediately starts distancing her and Ben from all his family and friends, for no apparent reason. If she doesn't get her own way, she becomes abusive and throws tantrums. The second part of the book is told from Bella's perspective, and there is a really great twist here. Then a family tragedy turns everything on it's head. This is a real page turner and I thoroughly recommend it. Thanks to NetGalley for a preview copy.

I was rather disappointed with this book. It wasn't written as well as I thought it would be. I couldn't find any connection with the characters, Ben came across as wet, and Bella annoyed me to no end.
I really don't like cheating, and Bella goes from a married man, to his son (claiming the baby she's expecting is his), and then has affairs. Her POV did nothing to make me feel sorry for her. She just blamed everyone else, and never took responsibility for her actions.
I did manage to finish it, but wasn't impressed.

I enjoyed this book and finished it in two sittings, reading on as I wanted to know how it all worked out.
I liked that you saw events from two different points of view. Firstly through the eyes of Ben who couldn’t believe his luck when he met the beautiful Bella after his long term girlfriend left him. Then it was from the view of the manipulative Bella who was definitely not as lovely on the inside.
An interesting tale, maybe some parts were a little predictable but no less engaging for that.
It was interesting to see just how Bella manipulated the people in her life even when you were willing them not to fall in with her plans.
In the cold light of day you may wonder how people can allow themselves to be controlled in such a way but unfortunately this does happen to both men and women.

Lies, secrets, vengeance and Revenge.

This book is brutally honest, goes into a section that only men are accepted abusers. I admire a good book with the villain as a woman not enough books highlight that males can be abused as well. In fact I think male abuse is worse because they get a lot of grief if their girlfriend/wife is abusing them.
It took me longer than normal to figure out the plot line and I enjoy the way the parts make the story pull together very nicely.
It kept me turning pages long after I knew I should of gone to bed but this story grips you in a way I can’t explain. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a psychological suspense
Thank you to Netgalley/ HC Warner/ HQ for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic premise for a book- if this had just stuck to highlighting the abusive girlfriend story line this could have been great. Unfortunately Part Two became a bit too unbelievable and over the top for me.

I can understand some of the negative reviews on here but if you just take this for what it is its fabulous . I enjoyed every single minute and didn't want it to end . Ben meets the beautiful , mysterious Bella in a bar and quickly falls into a whirlwind romance . She very quickly starts to isolate him from his friends and family much to their dismay . She is sweet then psycho and you really feel for Ben as you feel his isolation as she gets more and more controlling and violent . The twist in the middle was expected but still shocking . Its a fantastic curl up with a cuppa , over the top , melodramatic book and I loved it

Gripping. Unpredictable. A cracking book. I'll certainly look out for more from this author.

I love books like this which keep you guessing and questioning everything. This was an excellent book, and an easy read. It really intrigued me. I know there are people like this: Manipulative, attention-seeking, unpredictable etc. I was really wanting to see how things would develop-and possibly escalate. And oh yes, how they did!

I really liked this book. No hard-to-follow plots. Just family circumstances, and the effect Bella had on then all. Events gradually unfolding. Not long drawn out at all. I was interested and intrigued to see what would happen.

I read mainly non-fiction; memoirs. I do like my fiction books to be believable, and this totally is; it really could happen. There are people like this, I've had friends who had relatives and friends affected by destructive relationships such as this. I haven't enjoyed a fiction book as much in quite a while, it was a fabulous read all the way through, and with a satisfying end. Many crime thrillers often disappoint me at the end-they might just fizzle out-or the clues might not add up-this was just fantastic and gripped me from start to finish, I was reading it every spare moment.

I really liked how this was this was done so you could see both sides of the story, and what might drive a person to be like this. A fabulous book.

Ben and the beautiful Bella- what is not to love? well..apart from her devious, undermining, bullying behaviour, terrorising Ben and pushing away his friends and family.
From match made in heaven to inescapable hell Ben and his family and driven apart by Bella...from the minute She enters his life to the eventual revelations of her true agenda this book is nervy and unsettling but compulsive to read.

Wow... this book left me absolutely breathless.
Propabably the best piece of fiction I have read all year. From the first to last page it was gripping.
Ben and Charlotte a perfect couple until Charlotte decides she needs a break to sort out her feelings. On a night out with his mate Matt, Ben meets Bella a stunning beauty. Things move on very quickly for the couple when Bella announces she is pregnant.
I do not want to give anything away as this book really is too good to be spoilt. There is family drama, abuse, twists, manipulation and above all deceit.
This is the first book I have read by Helen Warnwer and I will definetly be looking to read more.

After Ben's long-time girlfriend Charlotte breaks off their relationship, Ben meets the beautiful Bella in a bar. After a drink and a meal, she quickly moves in with him.

The story begins with Ben's perspective then later switches to show us the story from Bella's perspective revealing why she settled down with Ben.

It isn't often that a novel looks at the world of spousal abuse where the man is the victim and the book does this very well. Along the way, there are many twists and turns which continue to the closing pages.

Highly recommended reading
