Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

Great for kids. I even learned a little bit myself as an adult. Very entertaining and easy to understand.

This book is great, but it was hard to do the flips on a digital book. This book will be great in print

Although it is difficult to evaluate the electronic ARC of a lift-the-flap book, this STEM book looks excellent, and I know from personal experience that children LOVE lift-the-flap books and information printed in bite-size bits, so I think this book will be a hit.

Lovely book to get the child started on a quest to know more about the planet. This is a great conversation starter on lot of subjects about the planet and was well received even in ebook format by the kid.

We already have Things To Go from the series which we thoroughly enjoy reading at home.

"Life on Earth: Planet Earth," by Heather Alexander was a simple and informative children's book on earth and the various things you might find here. It is geared toward younger kids who would just be learning about new things such as waterfalls or mountains or coral reefs.

There are some beautiful illustrations for kids to look at, and as you go through the squares that outline facts to read through, there are lots of other senses to engage with your kids as you make sounds and describe the different ideas introduced.

The physical book is a "lift the flap" type book, which I didn't get to enjoy while I reviewed the eBook version.

I received this eBook free of charge from Quarto Publishing Group – Wide Eyed Editions via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. I did not receive any fiscal compensation from either company for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.

This looks like a fun and interesting book, but I find it very difficult to evaluate the eARC of a lift-the-flap book. It is nearly impossible.

I also find a few of the facts questionable. Droughts have a lot of causes, and there are Australian possums who are marsupials.

A companion book to Things That Go. This is equally as perfect as a foundation book to everything that’s covered in Science and Geography. It will give a little one the perfect start.

It looks like a great book - but as it contains lots of question flaps it's difficult to experience that with an e-book.

Luckily I've seen other books in this series in real life, for it ain't no walk in the park, reviewing a lift-the-flaps book, when half of it – ie the under-flap lifty-up bits – are by design presented upside down. This entry covers the world and everything a good geography book might, from the water cycle, to the relative size of the oceans, the population, and on to land use. You won't be turning to it hundreds of times, and it remains to be seen how the flap lifty-up format would allow the book to survive in a school library, but these are bright and competent deliverers of factoids for the young – and this entry seemed to have a lot more than its sister, transport one.

This book doesn't work as an ebook. Looks like it would make a great physical book; lots of colorful illustrations and information. But trying to make sense of it as an ebook is tricky.

While this book was informative and had nice illustrations, the whole lift-the-flap thing didn’t work out in the ebook format at all.
It would probably be pretty enjoyable as a physical copy, though.

Life on Earth: Planet Earth is a really fun, educational learning experience. It is not simply a book of information. It is full of question flaps, that you can lift to see the answers. I think interactive books are an amazing way to learn and teach! The takeaway is always higher with interactive learning materials.

Colourful and fun this book is fantastic and I will be on the lookout for any in this series for my kids.
