5 A wonderful Series Stars
Melinda Leigh has mastered this series and those of us who have read it... love it. This is the sixth in the series and feels as if it is done.
In this book, we are given ever=ything you could want...all the past characters with the focus on a new "couple". Although the bulk of this book like the others is suspense, there are bits and pieces of romance too.

Loved the series and cannot wait to see what is next.

Fantastic ending to this series. I held my breath, I laughed, I cried and I miss this series already. Lance, Morgan, Sharp, Olivia, the kids, Gianna are all here . Well okay, we are searching for Olivia, but they are all in this last book. A terrifying, suspenseful mystery wrapped in romance and ending in a HEA resolution.. Thank you Melinda Leigh, Montlake and NetGalley for the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and we're unsolicited.

Save Your Breath is a top drawer crime thriller.
A trump crime. Writer mysteriously disappears.
Her new boyfriend, Lincoln Sharp expects the worst.
As he digs through her life, he discovers a connection between a case she is working on, and her current disappearance.
Will he find her alive or will he be a potential victim.
A very exciting thriller

This was such a great addition to the Morgan Dane series, I really enjoyed all of it. I like the suspense thriller with a dash of romance, not a lot of that going on to be honest I would have liked it to have a little bit more. I am interested to see where the series goes now, I can not wait. I really love this series and the characters, the tight nit family and what they would all do for each other.

I love this series. Sometimes it is a little over the top on family relationships and romance, but it is what we all dream of in real life, and hope it is attainable. Great mystery! I really enjoyed the closing scene at the lake when everything is solved. It was gritty and intense. Morgan and Lance and set to be married, so there is more on that, don't want to give it away. And Sharp finds love in Olivia, but she's been kidnapped and the hunt is on to find her and bring her home. Good read.

I am loving the Morgan Dane series, and was so happy to have another one of the books to read. In this one, Morgan and her fiancé, Lance Kruger, become involved in trying to find true crime writer Olivia Cruz when she disappears. Olivia's boyfriend, Lincoln Sharp, is Lance's boss, and a central figure to the series.

As Lance, Morgan, and Lincoln race against time to find Olivia, they realize that the book she is working on has ties to two cold murder cases, as well as the recent suicide of one of Morgan's clients. They must find Olivia before it is too late.

The aspect that stands out for me in this, as well as the other books in the series, is the wonderful characters. I always enjoy reading about Morgan and Lance, but the widowed Morgan's three small daughters add so much dimension to the books, as well as her retired law enforcement grandfather, who helps look after Morgan, her home, and her girls. A young, health compromised nanny also lives with the family, and is an asset to the books. It is always good to see secondary characters Lincoln Sharp and Olivia Cruz turn up, and I enjoyed having them at the forefront of this book. I really enjoy the way the characters team up and work together to solve crimes.

I voluntarily read and reviews an Advanced Reader Copy.

This is a great book. I haven't read many of Melinda Leigh's books, but I did enjoy this story and didn't feel I needed to read earlier novels before this one.

A group of 3, Morgan, Lance and Lincoln, cop, PI and lawyer, working together on cases, and individually as well. Lincoln is in a newish relationship with Olivia. One night she goes missing, and no-one can find out why, firstly passing it off as she took off to be on her own, but when things start unravelling in the investigation of Olivia's contacts that she has made in her research of killers, then Lincoln asks Morgan and Lance in to help.

They have to find Olivia before it's too late and she looses her life. Lincoln realises that he shouldn't be holding back in their relationship and hopes it's not too late.

Great story, and I will definitely be reading more from this author.

First of all, thank you to Montlake Romance, NetGalley and Ms. Leigh for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say!?! Morgan and Lance, from the first day I met them, have been my favorite of all of Ms. Leigh's characters and that's saying a lot because I've read every book Melinda has written. And they remained so right up to the finish, something that most characters can't even begin to accomplish. What a beautiful story, an even more beautiful ending. I am really going to miss them. REALLY!

This is the sixth installment of Melinda’s Morgan Dane Series. Like all previous books, Save Your Breath will keep you on the edge of your sit waiting to discover the new killer or menace in this story.

This books can be read as standalone since every case and investigation is completely different and Leigh makes sure you don’t get lost between the characters that form part of this series. But if you ask me it’s more exciting and fulfilling if you read the books in order. That’s just my preference.

In Save Your Breath there’s a kidnapping, murder and action. This book is full of suspense and mystery to keep you hook. The chemistry and familiarity between Morgan, Lance and Sharp makes this a great read.

Morgan is the attorney in the group while Lance and Sharp are the PI of the company. This team is ready to decipher a mayhem of situation while keeping up with family life. The plot was great, writing style is brilliant and you get to love this characters as they were actual living breathing human beens.

I voluntarily read and review an advance copy of this book provided by Netgalley and Melinda Leigh. Thank you so much!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is an enthralling adventure from beginning until the end. Excellent writing as usual by Melinda Leigh; strong, well developed characters that absolutely make the story come to life. Save Your Breath is a must read for anyone who enjoys a nitty gritty mystery! Enjoy! 📚

Save Your Breath is the 6th and final (?) entry in the Morgan Dane series. Olivia Cruz, a true crime writer and Lincoln Sharp's love interest is kidnapped....she just dissppears. With no sign of what happened and no apparent reason for it, Sharp, Morgan and Lance all scramble to find her. Their investigation heads in several directions. They are all desperate, running on no sleep and coffee. With a smart, well written cast of characters...including 3 adorable little girls....this book was a joy to read. A nonstop adrenalin ride from the very beginning. And the kidnapper was a complete surprise!! While this book can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading at least one or two of the others of the series first.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have read all of Melinda Leighs books and love her writing and this series. This is book six in the Morgan Dane series. I was sad to see it go but this was a really great book! Olivia, Sharps girlfriends and Morgan and lances friend is missing. Can they find her before it’s too late?

I was kindly given this ARC by #NetGalley, which I read and reviewed voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A longtime fan of Melinda Leigh and her skillful writing, however this narrative did not reflect her talent. This is book six in the Morgan Dane series and can be read as a stand alone. The character arc for many of the cast stalled out and while the plot itself stayed on point, the narrative became diluted with a conglomeration of subplots that lent no support to the main story. Chapters went on without recourse back to the main “victim" and too much minor detail slowed the pace. Leigh has so expertly engaged readers into her story lines in the past through her character driven plots that this felt as if written by someone else entirely.

I was kindly given this ARC by #NetGalley, which I read and reviewed voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Very fast paced and with great twists. Former police officers and a lawyer set out to find their friend who has gone missing. Quick paced action unravels revealing a mystery of the missing girl. Kept me guessing until the end and definitely would like to read more in this series.

This review will be bittersweet. I do not want to say goodbye to Morgan and Lance, or Sharp or Olivia...but mainly Morgan and Dane. This book was spectacular, but then again...all of Ms. Leigh's books are awesome! Over 6 books we have gone through a lot...especially Morgan and Dane. I have watched them grow, their romance bloom, them get out of misc scrapes, and near misses. This books was no different.

This book had an amazing suspense story behind it. Olivia has been taken, but why? By who? Will Sharp, Morgan and Dane be able to find her in time. Well, we will find out in this book. I don't want to give anything away but the story will keep you at t he edge of your seat and up all night reading until the end.

I have enjoyed all of Ms. Leigh's books EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!!! She is a one-click, must have, must read author and this book kept her one-click status with me. I can't wait to see what her next series brings but I have no doubt it will be as awesome as Morgan Dane, Scarlett Falls, She Can series, Midnight and Rogue series. I HIGHLY recommend this book, this series, this writer.... PERIOD! This book can be read as a standalone, BUT, to get the full gist of the story, read the series. You won't be disappointed. EVERY SINGLE BOOK is awesome!!! Happy Reading.... 5 stars from me!

Love the Morgan Dane Series!!! The books keep getting better. Hopefully this isn't the last we will see of Morgan and Lance. The lengths people will go to for money are astounding. I never guessed the reasons behind Olivia's kidnapping until it was finally revealed who was behind it. People are crazy, especially those who were involved. There were so many twists and turns, especially with the Olander and Franklin cases. Morgan, Lance and Sharp make the perfect team. Scarlet Falls seems like a nice place to live, but a lot of horrible stuff happens there, which gives the private investigations firm good job security.

Definitely recommend the book and the previous ones in the series. The book is definitely a mystery/suspense with a little romance thrown in. My next question is - will we see babies in Morgan and Lance's future???!!!! Can't wait to read the next book in the series (hopefully there is one)!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Montlake Romance through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Save Your Breath is the 6th book in the Morgan Dane series and again Melinda Leigh does not disappoint her fans. When Lincoln’s girlfriend Olivia fails to show up for her mother’s appointment it’s all hands on deck in their quest to find her. The suspense is palpable in this book, will they find her on time, are seemingly unrelated cases connected, or red herrings. But throughout the book even when it is at its darkest Morgan’s family shines through despite mounting tensions and frustration in not finding Olivia, this family dynamic characteristic in Ms. Leigh’s books only adds rather than detract from the readers overall experience.
My thanks to NetGally and the Montlake Romance Team for the opportunity to review this book, the opinions expressed solely my own.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4
This time is personal.

Morgan, Lance and Sharp are going to have to work fast if they want to solve this case. But where to start when one of their own has disappeared in the middle of the night. Trying to solve Olivia’s kidnapping will open a huge can of worms on a few different cases that Olivia has been researching. The question is which lead to follow first.

This was another great read in the Morgan Dane Series. I always enjoy reading Melinda’s stories. I am sad to see the Morgan Dane Series come to an end but I am hopeful that we will see these characters again in the future.

I will miss Morgan, Lance, Sharp, et al but their final outing doesn't disappoint in any way. Sharp has finally begun dating true crime writer, Olivia Cruz, officially and things are going well. But then she misses an important appointment and no one seems to know where she is.

Morgan is left reeling after the suicide of a woman whose case she had turned down and when a link between the dead woman and Olivia is discovered everyone begins to realise there is definitely something to worry about. With no shortage of people who might have had reason to cause Olivia's disappearance and clues to her whereabouts difficult to find they know time is against them.

Once again and sadly for the final time all the main characters are back to help Sharp find Olivia before time and his sanity run out. Stella, Morgan's police detective sister has a bigger roll to play and Sharp is obviously far more emotionally involved this time. The Dane family and their home life is still an important part of Ms Leigh's books and as always provides a little light relief as the tension increases elsewhere.

I hope these characters will appear in other story arcs as has been the case with much loved protagonists in the past as they have become familiar as it would be fun to visit for a while in the future to see where life takes them all.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it without hesitation as a well executed final book in a series which has never been anything other than 5* in every way.

This 6th book in the Morgan Dane series does not disappoint. It is a suspenseful, exciting, romantic thriller, whose fast action and smart, resourceful characters will have you holding your breath while you are kept glued to the pages. Lawyer-PI team, Morgan Dane and Lance Kruger, are in the midst of planning their wedding when Lance’s boss and best friend, Lincoln Sharp, discovers his reporter/author girlfriend, Olivia Wade, is missing. The interaction between the various characters, their worries, fears, emotions and insecurities are all so realistic you can not help but become invested in their lives. It is a gripping story that has many twists, thrilling action, breath taking danger and heart-warming emotions. This storyline can be read as a stand-alone, but I would recommend reading the whole series in order to get the nuances and growth of the character relationships.
