Reveal by K. Bromberg is book 2 in the Wicked Ways Series. This continues the story of Vaughn and Ryker, so you should read the previous book "Resist" first to full understand their story. This book picks up pretty much where we left off in the last one. Ryker has some explaining to d0 after that cliffhanger from book one. But Vaughn isn't someone that wants to hear anything he has to say at first. But this book gives us the answers we need and we start to get the full pictures along with love coming together.

I kind of sort of jumped into this one without doing any research so I was surprised to start the book and discover the story continued from book one (that I didnt' read) and the characters were already introduced and their romance established. The love story has just hit a big ol' bump on the road to HEA and it's super angsty right from page one!

That being said, I still enjoyed the book. It was way more emotionally heavy than I expected and deals with a lot of intense situations (see Possible Triggers below). But it also has a really touching story of family, trust, finally getting justice and being able to move on and letting go of the past.

Would I recommend? This is book two of a series. I didn't read book one and so I was a bit lost when it came to the underlying plot of blackmail and trying to keep the villians in order was hard but overall an intense read. H was super protective (which I loved) and h was strong (if a little fragile, emotionally).

I'm not sure what to say about this book. The plot was complicated and layered. There was a lot going on. I didn't love the characters. Vaughn and Ryker's relationship is complicated. Bromberg writes them with a lot of flaws which add tons of intensity to them. Nothing between these two is easy. Neither is to swoon over.

The story is slow to proceed but needs to be for all the facets to it. There's so much going on the reader can't guess it all and the end holds a huge surprise.

The book held my attention but didn't have me anxiously turning pages. Fans of political thrillers will enjoy it, I'm sure and there is a happily ever after for romance fans. There's even some hot sex folded in.

The conclusion to the Wicked Ways duet was just as good as I anticipated. This duet is an absolute must read, and is Kristy at her best! Reveal kicks off where the cliffhanger of Resist left us and I was dying to see the aftermath of what went down. This section of the novel gave me the angst between Ryker and Vaughn, allowing both characters to open up. We see the feisty side of Vaughn make a return and a softer side of Ryker that I challenge anyone not to swoon over!

Reveal is a novel full of drama, plot twists and turns but a whole lot of heart too. Ryker, Vaughn and Lucy are characters you root for, characters you want to succeed. Both Hero and heroine are likeable, have depth and are multifaceted; I completely got swept up in the Wicked Ways universe and enjoyed every second of the ride, and what a ride it was. Watch out Colton Donavan there is a new Bromberg man in town and his name is Ryker Lockhart!

5 Stars

Reveal by K. Bromberg is the stunning conclusion to the Wicked Ways Duet. It is not a stand-alone, so you'll need to read Resist first. After finishing Resist, I honestly could not wait to get my hands on this book! And boy oh boy- it was everything I thought it would be. But it was also completely unexpected. Reveal was full of OMG moments and moments where my heart was breaking for the main characters. This story was intense and definitely kept me on my toes.

Ryker and Vaughn were two amazing characters. They completely and utterly stole my heart. The connection between them was so strong and the passion they had for each other was hot as hell. So after that huge cliffhanger in Resist, I needed to know what was going to happen. Well let me just tell you that Ms. Bromberg takes you on one WILD and incredible ride.

Ryker’s only experience with love and relationships with when it came to defending men in their divorces which has left him jaded and determined that the same thing will never happen to him. After the way Resist ended we are left to wonder what he could possibly do to redeem himself and get Vaughn to give him a second chance.
He shows us that there is still a lot we don’t know about him and hearing his POV makes it all worthwhile.

Vaughn has a painful past and she has learnt not to trust others and the only one she can depend on is herself. Her walls are back up and she is determined not to let Ryker close enough to hurt her again. Just when she begins to start picking up the pieces her world is turned upside down once again and it will take all her strength and resilience to overcome the obstacles that life continues to throw at her.

Hot chemistry, suspense and twists all combine into a compelling storyline you won’t be able to put down.

We first met Vaughn and Ryker in “Resist.” This story wasn’t what I was expecting. I did expect to see Ryker and Vaughn fall in love, go through the typical relationship angst and then find their happily ever after. I didn’t expect the intrigue and suspense that surrounded Ryker and Vaughn, mostly Vaughn. And then right when I though but everything was all good for Vaughn, yet another twist popped up. One didn’t believe in love and the other didn’t believe they could be loved.

K Bromberg really kept me on my toes with this story. I laughed. I cried. I gritted my teeth. I turned page after page to find out more. What a stunning conclusion to a great series.

Holy wow.

What an epic conclusion to a brilliantly written duet that took us back to the same types of deep, emotional, raw feels that K. Bromberg's Driven Series evoked when it was released.

Vaughn and Ryker's story is a must read, gripping tale from page one of Resist to the very last page of Reveal. There were so many ups and downs, complex and well thought out story lines, and such attention to detail that made this duet incredible.

Ryker's development as a character from the start was fascinating and creative, and I truly loved him throughout the duet--even after the way Resist ended. And Vaughn's was no less fascinating or creative, but I must admit, there were times I had to set the book down and walk away briefly to keep myself from getting so frustrated with her. And while it irritated me at the time, it only served to make the book that much better because I was so invested her actions were literally getting a real, physical and emotional, response out of me.

Secondary characters were so well done that each and every one had their own purpose, their own influence on the story, and they each enhanced Ryker and Vaughn beautifully as their own characters.

I absolutely loved Reveal. And I would recommend Resist and Reveal to anyone looking for a deep and amazing read with some steamy moments, happy moments, and awesomeness sprinkled in.

„Most people look for love in the sunrise, when they don’t realize for them it can be found in the sunset.”

Resist left me in such suspense that I was shaking from anticipation just thinking about book two in the Wicked Ways series. But K. Bromberg didn't give me just a conclusion for Vaughn and Ryker’s story... Oh no. She decided to stir even more and thus she brought a book full of tension, unexpected twists and a whole range of feelings.

This book starts where the first one ended, but it’s said from Ryker’s POV. And where Vaughn’s POV made us think about Ryker as the biggest jerk in this world, Reveal quickly explains why he behaved that way. And our outrage quickly turns into admiration. Le sigh! But if you think that a little misunderstanding between our characters is the only thing that needs to be solved, think again. The author put other issues in this story, and let me tell you- the angst is pouring from the pages of this book! All of this was so unexpected that I was literally speechless! There is constant banter between Ryker and Vaughn, but the chemistry and lust is still off the charts! These two could easily set your Kindle on fire.

Reveal is a perfect conclusion to Vaughn and Ryker’s intense story. Filled with many mysteries and lies, it keeps you at the edge of the seat. Many plot twists make you excited. Unrestrained passion makes this book deliciously addicting and Bromberg’s flawless writing is just the cherry on top. Highly recommend!

Amazing conclusion to the Wicked Ways duet. I especially loved the epilogue in Reveal.

I have always enjoyed novels by this author but this book takes the cake. It will definitely be one that I re-read again and again.

I really enjoyed the second half of this duet. The drama is definitely over-the-top, and I mean that in the best sense. Given what Vee does for a living, if the drama weren’t OTT, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense. There are so many knots to be unraveled in the second book, and Bromberg does this beautifully, making the payoff of waiting for the second book sweet.

Do Vaughn and Ryker have what it takes to go the distance? When we last left them, Vaughn was broken hearted over Rykers deception. How dare he? There is so much that neither of them know about each other and about what is in store for them. Can money and power save them from the nastiness that is unleashed on them both? How can it when those unleashing have even more power than even Ryker could have imagined. At every turn, Vaughn is running into walls that are seemingly more and more difficult to climb. Can she trust Ryker to help her over them? The suspense in the finale of the Wicked Ways duet was amazingly wonderful to this reader.

Omg, what a thrilling, emotional and sexy conclusion to Vaughn and Ryker's story! Reveal picks right up where Resist left off and hit's the ground running. Both Vaughn and Ryker are heart broken over Ryker's stunning actions at the end of Resist. Vaughn, nor I, could see a way for him to redeem himself, and as he tries, he only makes things worse. Vaughn is fighting to move on from Ryker, and win custody of Lucy. But there are new players, along with the current, and terrifying adversaries that threaten her very existence. My heart hurt so much for Vaughn, Lucy, and Ryker. The many twists and turns this gripping story took had me totally captivated, and turning the pages, trying to find out what will happen next! I am so in awe of Vaughn and how strong, brave, and resilient she is. I loved how this story unfolded and the way things came together. I especially loved the epilogue, bringing me to tears. This is the perfect conclusion to this thrilling, emotional and sexy love story!

Well that was just intense!
Ryker and vaughn’s story was filled with secrets, deception and so many things that will make you wanting more.

Sure this book wasn’t perfect. Vaughn tested my patience a little bit in this book but overall I more than liked it.
There is absolutely no doubt that the chemistry between Ryker and Vaughn is passionate. These characters lives makes for a storyline that is filled with drama without it being predictable.

This is the second book in this series and it did not disappoint. You will need to read book 1 Resist as Vaughn and Ryker's story continues in this book. I love that you see in this book from Ryker's point of view as book one had a dramatic ending making you think he is the world's biggest jerk. Starting this one off you see his reasoning behind why he did and said what he did. He tries hard to explain to Vaughn why he did what he did but she felt lied to and deceived. All Vaughn wanted was to live happily ever after with her niece and the man she loved but that all changed. Ryker tries to prove to Vaughn that he is that man. All I can say is this book is well worth the read and you will have to check it out to see how the story ends.

That follow up though!! OMG!
Wow, wow, WOW! Loved this book! The perfect follow up to Resist.
Not only did it keep me completely engrossed, it also dug me out of the book funk I was in.
Resist and Reveal are on the top of my list for 2019. I HIGHLY recommend these books! You won't regret it!

This is a great follow up to the first book reveal, after that ending in reveal I was so desperate to find out what was going to happen next for Vaughan and Ryker, I was not disappointed at all by this book, it had all the chemistry, addictive page turning into the night and tension from the first, no spoilers so I won’t ruin this, but I was not disappointed at all by the end, loved it. This is an addictive, fast paced read, but you need to pick up Reveal before you can read this and I highly recommend both.

Reveal continues the story where Resist left us "hanging." Ryker and Vaughn are on the rocks again. Ryker is continually trying to be Vaughn's hero but he makes all the wrong moves even though his intentions are good. Let me just give Ryker some props for being one heck of a swoon-worthy man because he really is. He may have been a really piece of work before but after meeting Vaughn, he is changed. Unfortunately, Vaughn is so fearful of letting herself fully trust and care about someone else that any time Ryker does anything wrong, she shuts down and pushes him away. Her defense mechanisms are at the max to protect her from any more pain.

In Reveal, they both have so much to work through to try to get to their HEA. Vaughn has a ton of baggage to be dealt with and Ryker has his fair share of demons too. Just to complicate things, there are secondary characters that will do anything in their power to hurt either one or both of them as well. So, by the end of Reveal, you're exhausted from the battles, but it's well worth it. After all, you want for Ryker and Vaughn to finally find their "sunset."

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for providing me with the ARC of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Reveal is the second book in the addictive Wicked Ways duet, and to ensure I do not spoil the first book, this will be brief. It is the perfect finale to Vaughn and Ryker’s epic romance as these two strong-willed, perfectly-matched lovers sort through their differences while dealing with outside influences that want to tear them apart. It’s an uber-sexy, emotional journey with jaw-dropping twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Don’t miss the Wicked Ways duet!

Reveal is book 2 in the Wicked Ways Duet by K Bromberg. You have to read Resist, book 1, first.
This story had many twists and turns and left the reader on the edge of their seat.
Ryker and Vaughn continue their relationship while Ryker discovers more about Vaughn’s past. They set out to not want a relationship, but their chemistry is off the charts. In this book, we really see that there is so much more that Ryker than in Resist. The way he cares for and wants to protect Vaughn will melt your heart.
As the story unravels be prepared for a bumpy ride with twists at every corner. It is such a well done story with characters possessing deep layers.
And let’s not forget Lucy, sweet niece to Vaughn, who will steal your heart.
This was a great duet filled with romance, intrigue, lies, deceit and a happily ever after. Definitely recommend this book!
