Another brilliant saga by this fantastic author. I just loved the characters and of course the story. It hooked me from the first chapter.

Set just before the 1st World War we follow the life of Holly. She lives a comfortable life with her Mother in her Grandfathers house. When she refuses to comply with her Grandfather’s plans he orders her to leave the home. The young maid leaves with Holly and they head to London to start a new life but it is harder than they expect. Holly falls in love but it doesn’t go smoothly. Holly is now a nurse & spends time nursing in France.during the war. She becomes reconciled with her grandfather who has mellowed as he gets older but will she find love again?

Another fantastic read by Rosie Goodwin. This is the sixth book in the days of the week series and tells the story of Holly who runs away to London with her friend Ivy when her grandfather tries to marry her off to a man who is old enough to be her father.

This book was a brilliant read and one that is perfect to escape for a few hours and loose yourself.
Characters that fall out of the pages of the book and make you fell apart of the story, the setting is lovely and captured well with words.
A great read. that I would highly recommend.

I love the days of the week series and this one particularly appealed as the main character Holly spends time working g as a nurse in the first World War.
Rosie Goodwin writes beautiful characters who you warm to and her stories always capture my heart.

What another fantastic book by Rosie Goodwin such a fantastic writer would definitely recommend to others a beautiful story for the festive season .
