This was my first Melissa Foster book and I can honestly say I was quite pleased. As soon as I read the blurb and a baby was mentioned I was automatically hooked. If you know me, then you know I love books with babies in the story. I’m also a sucker for the friends-to-lovers trope and this one had just that as well. I was thoroughly entertained right from the beginning and really enjoyed this book.

Aurelia and Ben captured my heart. I just loved their friendship. I laughed, I smiled and most definitely swooned. I couldn’t get enough these two, and then add baby B to the mix and I just couldn’t handle myself, feelings overload.

Ben and Aurelia’s friendship was put to the test when a baby is left on Ben’s doorstep. But it not only strengthened their friendship, but it also brought them closer together in a way they could only dream of. Having them learn along the way how to care for a baby and leaning on the other for support, only made their bond that much stronger. And oh my gosh, Ben as a dad is everything. He’s so protective, loving and caring and it’s just the best.

Call Her Mine was a great friends-to-lovers romance. With enjoyable characters and secondary characters that were just as great. And with a precious and sweet baby that stole the show. Ben, Aurelia and baby B made the prefect little family. It’s no surprise that I’ll definitely be reading more of this author.

Aurelia has been in love with Ben forever, but he is her best friend. Not just her best friend, he is also a serial dater and not looking to settle down. That is until a little baby girl is dropped outside of his house with a note saying that he is the daddy... talk about life changer. Aurelia as his best friend obviously steps up to help out, what if she finds out that there might be more between them then just friends?

This book is absolutely adorable with some major sexual tension! It was an enjoyable read and kept a nice pace-absolutely a 4.5 outta 5 from me! If those types of books are your jam, I highly recommend checking it out. I am not going to give away any spoilers, but know that this book will definitely have moments that speak to your heart and others that are super steamy!!

Thank you to Melissa Foster and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

A fresh take on the best friends to lovers trope, “Call Her Mine” turned out to be a comedy-drama instead of just being a rom-com.

Don’t get me wrong, there are lots of laugh out loud funny moments. After all, Ben and Aurelia, the protagonists in the story, have known each other since they were very young. And they are best friends after all. They know each other inside out. Except the fact that they have been pining for each other long before they reached adulthood.

“Call Her Mine” begins with Ben and Aurelia find a baby at Ben’s doorsteps. But, before that, Aurelia had decided to give up the torch she had been holding for Ben. That plan went out the window the moment they saw the beautiful baby girl and the note that Ben was the father.

After a momentary panic, Ben and Aurelia reverted to their true selves, i.e., they function best as a team. And the baby also precipitated what Ben had been planning all along – tell Aurelia how he really felt.

These two big changes in their relationship – a baby and the change from friends to lovers status – are actually the crux of “Call Her Mine.” Being single and only responsible for themselves, being a threesome proved to be more than just troublesome for Ben and Aurelia.

Telling the story on how these two old friends/new lovers traversed that change while keeping the audience interested was the challenge that author Melissa Foster faced with “Call Her Mine.” And she did it with flying colors!

The pacing was fast, but not too fast that the book lost focus. It was slowed down at the right moments so that the readers can catch up on how Ben and Aurelia were faring as a couple and as an instant family.

Melissa Foster also kept the storyline lighthearted even when conflict the presented and its resolution revealed.

An easy read that will make you smile and even laugh at times, “Call Her Mine” is Rated T for Teens. Parental guidance is strongly advised.

Melissa Foster is an author I see so much of and I really want to like her books as they always sound so fun and enticing. And indeed her writing is exceptional and really draws you into her stories…but this story, along with others of hers I’ve read, just didn't hit the mark for me.

For the first chapter or so, I was SO excited. I do so love a best friends to lovers romance, especially one where both friends are in love with the other but neither is able to admit it. The relationship and love between Ben and Aurelia is evident from the very first page and I fell in love immediately. It’s that familiarity and banter - along with those little indicators of something deeper - that really hits you square in the feels.

Once you add in the baby, Bea, then your heart is just mush. Seeing the way that Ben cares for and protects the baby is just the stuff that dreams are made of and I fully admit to full-on swooning right alongside Aurelia. These three characters just came alive on the page.

And that was just the first few chapters - which was actually one of my issues with the book. Suddenly, at 28%, came the big dramatic spilling of the feelings - which I’m not going to lie, was also hella swoon worthy - and Ben and Aurelia were a couple from then on in. Huh - I thought the main point of the book was the romance but that was pretty much wrapped up fairly early on. Oh sure we had the first time they had sex and a few issues surrounding Bea, but coupledom was not the main focus of this book.

The main story was about finding out about Bea and understanding the new normal with her in their lives. Some of their issues at the beginning were downright hilarious and I laughed out loud on many an occasion. With that said, the conclusion to that story was heartbreakingly convenient and it added an uncomfortable feeling as we then were celebrating Ben and Aurelia and their new life together.

This is book one in the Harmony Pointe series but it clearly is linked to another series (perhaps even a few). If you've never read Melissa Foster before, or the particular series this links to (Love in Bloom, by all accounts), you’ll be hopelessly lost in terms of the characters and how they’re related. They pop up so often that at times it felt it was more about them than it was Ben and Aurelia. However, if you’re a fan of the author or series you’ll be in absolute heaven catching up with old friends and family.

I wasn’t overwhelmed by this book but that’s not to say I wouldn’t recommend it to fans of Ms Foster or those who’ve read and enjoyed her before. But just 3 stars from me.

A fabulous start to this new series from Melissa Foster. I laughed, I cried and loved every single minute of Ben and Aurelia story.

Ben and Aurelia have been in love with each other from afar, forever. They have have always been there for each other no matter what so when Ben discovers a baby has been left on his doorstep with a letter claiming this tiny little girl is his of course Aurelia is there to help. As they work together to look after this little princess will they finally show each other just what the other means to them?

A beautifully written story and I look forward to more from Harmony Point the future.

Call Her Mine is the first book in a new spin-off series Harmony Pointe from Melissa Foster. You will recognize some of the characters from the neighboring Sugar Lake series. This story centers around a billionaire venture capitalist and his book store owning best friend in a delectable friends to lovers/ surprise baby shake up.

Apparent unrequited love sets the scene as Aurelia moved a town over to get away from fawning over the man whom she adores but can’t have. The passion she has for opening this new book store is music to a readers ears as details are swirling around us. Life as she knew it is over!

Unbeknownst to her, Ben has been equally in love with her and just biding his time for the perfect opportunity to finally make his move. Her desertion of their routine threw him a curve ball, but the arrival of an unknown baby just might be the end of it all.

I highly recommend this story for anyone who enjoys a close knit group of family and friends in a steamy, small town romance sort of feel. Melissa Foster is the queen of wrapping characters around your heart! Just when I thought we were heading towards that happily ever after with no clouds in sight, she gutted me then beautifully put me back together again. Such an emotional journey!

Call Her Mine is new friends to lovers with surprise baby twist from author Melissa Foster. This book was my first by Melissa. While it’s not mandatory to read Sugar Lake series to know what is going on, I did feel like it might have helped my reading experience. I wasn’t as invested in the characters as I might have been if I have read the other series first. The friends to lovers with surprise baby storyline is great, but it dragged on a little for me in places. If you are a fan of Melissa Fosters Sugar Lake series, then I think you will love this book.

Welcome to Harmony Pointe, where everybody knows everybody and where a new life will begin for Aurelia Stark. At least this is what she hopes will happen after being her best friend Ben Dalton forever. Tired of waiting for his move she is ready to start something new on her own even if it means yikes dating again. The thing is that all is not it seems and now Ben is the one well ready. These two have been friends forever and every time he is ready to make his move fate steps in. Her moving out was at the top of his list of worry but now someone has gotten him from being a bachelor to a daddy. I loved how Melissa Foster did this bringing them together yet in a way they still seem distant. Seeing always in control Ben loosing his composure and trying to seduce Aurelia at the same time was beautiful in this book. It is always nice to see a sexy guy losing control of things he thought was easy. Sure the friendship is still there but now there is much more like a love they have been waiting for. Have to say seeing them running around like a chicken without its head was hillarious and baby B so cute in every way. This is the first book in this little town and cannot wait to see who is next by Melissa Foster.

"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own."

This book was just good but not great. It was cute and sweet but while the beginning and end were great, the middle part of the book was very boring and repetitive. I could skip over entire pages and not miss a step. For those reasons I'm giving three chilli peppers of hotness.

There were some parts of this book I liked and some I didn't. I love books where the hero/heroine has a big family, and we got to see a lot of Ben's family throughout this book. They seem like a great family- and genuine, too. They may not always agree with each other, and they may be different but they will always love and support each other. I was also very surprised about the emotion this book made me feel. I don't want to spoil anything but I will say that it's a beautiful thing to see and *feel* the love of a mother for her daughter.
Unfortunately, the part I didn't like was the actual relationship between Ben and Aurelia. I was told that they were best friends, but I didn't feel it. I was told that they loved each other- and had for a while- but I didn't feel it. I know that this might be because we're meant to know them- and their relationship- from previous books, but I haven't read them so it was hard to connect and root for them.

Overall, this isn't a bad book...but it wasn't great either. I might've liked it better if I had read the previous books, and seeing some of the characters from the previous books, I might do just that!

This was THE perfect blend of sweet, sexy, funny and #feels *happy sigh* outstanding

I have read a ton of Melissa Foster stories, so you would think it would be difficult for me to say Ben and Aurelia are the best people in the history of people that she has ever created … one would think, but no, I state it with conviction!! AND, their journey in this book was spectacularly delightful !!

Melissa could have taken this friend to lover trope that is not new to this genre and made it cliché and tiresome with the same old conflict. But she didn’t, and now I want to be her best friend *happy sigh* I am so frikking excited about every single plot point that I don’t want to even hint at any of them because every single one is just glorious to read! Even the conflict in the story wasn’t typical for this trope. I really need everyone on board with me and one-click this book immediately #TRUST

I have read the other books in this series and am addicted. Foster really hits the ball out of the park with this one. A baby in a basket at your front door, a billionaire, and a love sick, tired of waiting friend. Can friendship turn into love and parenthood? You will have to read to find out. I also can't wait to read Aiden's and Remi's story.

This book had well-developed characters, an easy-to-follow storyline, and a beautiful writing style.
I will definitely be reading more by this author!

Call Her Mine is the first title in Melissa Foster's Harmony Pointe series. This might be the first book I've read from this author and I'm giving the book a 3.0 - 3.5 stars, and 4 stars for the cover art.

In this book we meet best friends since childhood Ben and Aurelia. Both are madly in love with the other but refuse to say anything in case it ends up messing up their friendship. I've read other books from other authors about best friends who are in similar situations and they all end up together in the end and with their friendships intact. What differs in this book is that a mysterious person leaves an infant on Ben's door step with a letter claiming the baby is his! Small town, big drama kind of story, a one night stand and the aftermath.

The reason why I'm giving it such a low score is because of the unrealistic story line. Aurelia is always agreeable with Ben and seem to have no problem going along with the crazy idea of being a "parent" to baby B aka Baby Ben even when the author is showing her having conflicted emotions about the situation she still goes along it. It was only mentioned once by Ben that he understood that everything happening was a lot to handle especially after each one confesses their romantic love for the other, that Aurelia could be resentful; of him spending time searching for the baby's mother, waiting and finding out whether or not Baby B is Ben's child, and the fact that if she is his then his life, and their life will drastically change. This whole book was too "neat" in how there's drama and conflict but not really. Now their juggling, playing house along with a newborn (which neither have experience with), Ben is dealing with a major business deal, and Aurelia is opening a new bookstore.

I can't image a woman who is madly in love would be so understanding to the point where it seems like there wasn't the intrusion of a living, breathing, newborn. Yes we see the characters' nerves being frazzled dealing with the daily life with a new baby although I'm not completely sure how long the entire story is (time frame wise). Ben came off a tad sheepish in the phone conversation with his father about Baby B, everyone in his family seems to be so understanding which I keep saying I know, no one bats an eye that he had a baby, the mother is missing, or the fact that the main characters are now in a relationship together and an instant family. And after one week we learn that that baby is indeed Ben's. We don't get to meet Baby Bea's mother until the very end of the book, and the reasoning why she left the baby on Ben's doorstep was because she found out she had a inoperable brain tumor and she passes away not too long after Ben legally gets custody of Baby Bea aka not Baby Bea Jane but Jane Bea. Once again this book was neat and tidy in how the birth mother shows up, has a legit reason why she left the baby, and quick fix so that the main characters could have their HEA. I liked some parts of the book but it wasn't believable. If the guy I'm best friend's with since forever, and we've confessed our love for each other and start a new relationship, and a baby is dropped on his doorstep claiming to be his. I really don't think that I would be okay with the situation and jump into a relationship and not feel resentful. Oh by the way the reason why he slept with those women were because Aurelia had dates those nights and this was his way to not have to think about who she was with. Except that one woman he did not sleep with because he was at her literary reading (costumed), but he didn't let her know he was there.

Such a fantastic story!! It was sweet and sexy, and of course a surprise baby was thrown into the mix. Aurelia and Ben are best friends, and they don't want to ruin their friendship. I would love to have a friendship like they did! Just when Aurelia was trying to move on, they're hit with a doozy of a surprise! They learn to work together, and try to find out who left a baby on the doorstep. Two single people learning to care for a baby, what could go wrong? Is it Ben's? Or is someone looking to make a quick buck?
There were some twists and turns in this book, and a few surprises you won't see coming. The chemistry between Ben and Aurelia was hot! Best friends make the best relationships, since they were already so close! I highly recommend this book, and can't wait for the next one!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Okay, so I have been waiting patiently for Ben and Aurelia's story since I met them in the first book of the Sugar Lake Series, I knew there was more then them just being friends going on but I didn't know how it would play out and I have to admit I was shocked by some of it. I will not post any spoilers but I will say that with all the sparks flying between the two of them it was just a matter of time before they crossed the line of friends only.

Aurelia wasn't the only one surprised to find out that Ben was a father, after finding a little girl left on his doorstep Ben couldn't believe the news. But once he got her in his arms he was a gonner.

This wasn't only a sweet story of a couple falling in love and starting a family, it was Ben and Aurelia coming to terms with the attraction they had been fighting for YEARS!!!! It was also dealing with becoming an instant family and finding the baby's momma to find out why she had just left her.

This story as with most of Melissa Foster's books pulls at your heartstrings while stetting your kindle ablaze. For me Melissa Foster is an author that comes easily to recommend, her stories pull you in from the very beginning and never let you go, and I mean never! I Love the Dalton family and I cannot wait to see the rest of them find their HEA's.

Happy Reading!!!

3.5 stars — This book was a mix of ups and downs for me! I was initially skeptical of the hero, but then quickly got sucked in by our MCs and their chemistry and all that good stuff. But somewhere along the way I started to get a bit bored, and my attention wandered.

Ben starts the book not looking very good. He came across really cocky, and a bit of a dick. Which is weird, b/c that’s not at ALL who he is for most of the rest of the book…which makes me happy, b/c he was a sweetheart eventually. But I can’t mash the two of them together, it’s like two different characters. I eventually found him to be kinda sassy and funny, but with a wonderfully thoughtful romantic side to him. But can I be weird for a sec? He got a bit too good to be true by the end…like, almost boring. Like, oh look, he did another thing spectacularly swoonily right…it didn’t feel authentic.

Aurelia was…not very memorable. I definitely didn’t dislike her, I thought she was sassy and fun! But she didn’t really stand out in the grand scheme of things. She was just…a cookie cutter heroine in some ways.

That’s actually a pretty good way of describing a lot of the book — it felt a bit cookie cutter. Which isn’t always a bad thing. Yesterday I was loving that predictability, but today when I finished the book I was just over it. I’m not sure what I was looking for that this book was missing, but there was definitely something.

As with everything else, I both LOVED the chemistry between Ben & Aurelia, but I also got bored of it after awhile. Their initial kiss scene, and subsequent steamy scenes were smoking! But then it became repetitive. *sigh* Maybe it’s me.

The story with Bea was pretty adorable, if without as much conflict as I’d expected. They fell in love and became attached like *that*. But the author did try to show the stress/harsh reality of a newborn as well.

The secondary characters brought quite a bit of fun, Ben’s family in particular was hilarious. And I adored Aurelia’s Grandma Flossie, she had so many great pieces of wisdom to pass along.

So yeah. A solid romance, but in the grand scheme of things not one I’m going to remember.
