Call her mine is a different sort of romance. Sort of best friends older brother crush meets surprise baby. Rels is and has been in love with her best friends brother forever. But they are seriously close too, he’s just older than her. Now as adults they do a lot but it’s getting to be too much when she knows he doesn’t return her feelings. It’s time to make a fresh start!

For Ben he’s been in love with Rels too but she was young then how do you make a move? When is it the right moment. When a baby is left on his door step and their world is tossed upside down, he needs his best friends help.

Their adventure is funny, sweet, hot, and chaotic. I enjoyed it a lot.

Jump in on the beginning of a new series from Melissa Foster. Take flight with a fantastic take off. This was a friends to lovers with a bit more. The ins and outs of Ben Dalton and his love for the one person he wanted more than anyone in the world, Aurelia. Aurelia Stark had forever loved Ben and as things move forward in life she makes a decision that she can no longer wait for him to see her right before his eyes. The one things that draws them closer together and that step closer to what they both one get disturbed by a little hiccup.

Bea was not so much a hiccup as a connector piece. She was just what was needed to push both Ben and Aurelia to open their eyes and their feelings to what could and should be.

This one brings all the characters to life and shows ferocity of some while the compassionate side of other. There are characters to love so much you want more of them and then there are those that make you cry. I have to say that I did have to pull out the tissue. Those last five to six chapters just had me wrapped up tight. I for one can say this was another well loved romance from Melissa Foster and a fab introduction to the life in Harmony Pointe. There were also some interesting cameos from some that I would love to see more of. I look forward to Remy and more from Harmony Pointe.

“best friend to lover, insta-family story, 3.5 stars”

First off, I want to tell you that I love Foster, I really do. And if insta-family/surprise baby isn’t your jam then turn around and check out another one of her books. I knew who Ben and Aurelia were before going into Call Her Mine. So, I knew the secondary characters, the family everything. And I loved them!

Aurelia and Ben have been best friends forever but its time for her to move on. She wants more and knows she doesn’t have a shot at Ben. Until a baby is left on his door. Ben has always wanted Aurelia but its never been the right time. When a baby is left on his doorstep will it bring them closer together or further apart?

Now I have a confession, I hate novellas, but I honestly wish Call Her Mine was one. The story was good, don’t get me wrong. But I felt like I could have cut out a good chunk of the middle where they were trying to find their parenting feet. They fell into coupledom extremely easy and never wavered, which is great! But it made me kind of bored, I was waiting for the shoe to drop. And it kind of did at like 90% when we are usually wrapping up a story. Even then with that ordeal I didn’t get the satisfaction from it or all my questions answered.

So, I feel like if she would have cut out some of the day to day struggle and moved the problem further in and gave us absolute resolution there I would have been happier. Even with all that said Call Her Mine is a good book, if you’re into insta-family and insta-love. Because let’s face it, it would feel like insta-love to anyone who doesn’t know these two.

Plot-3.5/5

Characters-3.5/5

Heat-3.5/5

Writing style-3.5/5

Overall-3.5/5

This one started off cute. I mean, the cover alone...swoon.

....but I'm sorry to say, I DNF at 40%.

I don't know why. Cute kid, friends to lovers. But nothing grabbed me.

Sorry. I really tried.

Love the friends to lovers trope and throw a baby in there and it’s triple the fun. This was a cute, fun light hearted read . Really enjoyed this one and highly recommend. Thanks NetGalley.

The Delight

Call Her Mine was a cute story with some surprises, but not a huge conflict to really throw them off their game. It left me some what confused as if I was coming into a series mid-way, but the series says this is the first book. New to me author!

REVIEW

Call Her Mine is a story of two best friends who secretly love each other, but are afraid to admit it and ruin the friendship. What starts out as the night after a wedding with friends asleep on the couch, wakes up to a baby on the doorstep. Ben Dalton's baby. Or at least that is what the letter says. Aurelia and Ben now have more than their secret love of one another to deal with.

Aurelia Stark has loved Ben since high school and after years of watching him be a playboy and make money, she has decided it is time to move on with her life. She buys a bookstore in a different town and starts renovating it, but Ben's sister gets married, she goes with Ben as his best friend only to find out he has a baby the next morning. Shock of shocks. Being the best friend, she sticks with him trying to figure out who the mother could be all the while her heart is breaking knowing he has been with these women.

Ben Dalton had planned to make his move to tell Aurelia he loves her, but one thing after another gets in the way. Even a baby. He can't believe he fathered a child and cringes when he has to tell Aurelia every woman he has slept with in the last year in hopes of finding the baby's mother and clearing this up.

The two bumble thorough this till Aurelia decides to tell Ben how she feels and runs out instead. This is the last straw and Ben decides it's time he claims his woman. The romance falls into an easy pattern without really any hiccups. The two were made for each other. And now they are falling for the baby they don't know if is truly Ben's.

This is a sweet and sexy romance that is just a little to easy. Aurelia falls into the mother role like she was made for it it and Ben grows attached to the baby and doesn't want to let go. There is a resolution to this issue that you need to read the story to find out.

Decisions have to be made, equipment bought, store to renovate, parenting 101 to get through and so much more. The writing was pleasant and easy to follow, it just lacked the edge I wanted for this situation. It also left me guessing how Aurelia moved away, but really wasn't that far and who all of Ben's sisters were. It really felt like I was dropped into the middle of a series, which makes me think this was a spin off series. Any way, I was lost some, laughing some, ohhhing and ahhing, but never questioning if they were going to have any problems being a couple. And that is where I felt more conflict needed to happen. Me...I don't like drama...unless it's in my story!

I wanted to like this one SO MUCH. The idea of it is so good (and a friend's to lovers trope is one of my favorites) but I got a little icked out by his hooking up with women only when she went out on a date with someone else. I don't expect the heroes and heroines to save themselves and I'm only a little "enh" about sex without feelings, but when he's doing it to soothe his heart (or his ego) it just comes off as wrong to me. To both the women he's sleeping with and his "love".

Call Her Mine is about two best friends who find themselves with a instant family and all the drama to go with it. It was fantastic! I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.

I liked it and it was cute but it was slightly unbelievable.
They way everything moved so fast and neither of them really questioned it.
But overall it was a cute read.

Ben and Aurelia are long time friends who both secretly want more. Neither of them realize that their feelings are actually not unrequited. When Aurelia finds a precious baby girl on Ben's doorstep, she has no choice but to help her best friend try to navigate the situation. The friendship between these two loveable characters is so easy and genuine. Even under the pressure of becoming a father overnight Ben is gentle, kind and gracious. Is there really anything more attractive than a loving, attentive, involved father and partner? It was just so easy to fall in love with Aurelia and Ben. Highly recommend this one.

You know what? Delightful is the perfect word to describe this story. Don’t misunderstand, there is tons of emotion contained within these pages, as well as a truly heartbreaking scene that had me tearing up. But you expect that – I’d be disappointed if a book from Ms Foster didn’t deliver that to be honest.

And yet,she doesn’t stop there. These characters, and their environment are lushly described. The whole book is a big, warm hug.

More please.

"Once upon a time there were two best friends, a sassy, sexy girl who loved Converse sneakers and was careful with every penny, and an insanely handsome, rich man who adored her. They did everything together except share the truth of their hearts."

Sexy, fun, sweet and wildly romantic friends-to-lovers/surprise-baby rom-com with fantastic humor, heart and heat. I adored Ben and Aurelia's story and immediately dived into the Sugar Lake series featuring Ben's sisters. I can't wait for more to come in the Harmony Pointe series!

Wow! That was my first thought when I finished this book. Also, this was my first read by Melissa Foster, but certainly not my last.

As I was reading this book, I thought this is so cute. Another surprise baby story (and I do love that troupe) with the Daddy totally lost and confused. But this book was so much more.

Aurelia is her own person. She is not needy, not dependent and certainly not a pushover.
Ben is organized, a perfectionist and always waiting for the right time.

One morning Ben has a surprise on his front porch, calls his best friend, Aurelia . . . hence the beginning of one hell of an adventure. The laugh out loud humor! The antics! The what do we do now moments!

And then . . . the laughter ceases and realization become the central point of this story. That sometimes we must do what seems to be the wrong thing for all the right reasons. After, I laughed my self into oblivion, I cried myself into a stupor.

Melissa seamlessly combines love and heartbreak, laughter and tears, ups and downs, love and hatred. She has also seamlessly earned 5 stars from this reader.

Ben and Aurelia have been best friends since they were teenagers and their feelings had grown but they never acted on them.Their feelings are tested when Ben discovers a baby on his doorstep with a note affirming that he is the father. He has no idea how to raise a baby and he solicits Aurelia's help. This was fun sexy and sweet with the great amount of angst.I have to admit I found the story adorable.Aurelia and Ben were such great characters and their friends-to-lovers romance gave me SO many feels.

This was cute and quick read. Two best friends, who everyone knows should be together but they are hesitant since they don't want to ruin their friendship.

This is a story of two people in love but not sharing their feelings. Too afraid to lose what they have as best friends. Everyone around them know they should be together but these two just deny, deny, deny.
I do love how they finally come together. The chemistry they have is fantastic.

This is a great start to a new series by Melissa Foster.

Ben and Aurelia have been friends for a long time. The attraction between the two is undeniable but neither have done anything about it. They don’t know what to do when a baby shows up on Ben’s doorstep. Thankfully he has Aurelia there to help him take care of the baby. It doesn’t take long for these two to finally realize they have something and go for it.

This was a fun read, a story filled with laughter and moments that warm your heart. I loved this book and recommend it.
