As with all of this author's books i absolutely loved this one. The storyline was absolutely amazing and the characters were easy and enjoyable to read about. I was so disappointed when the story ended as I just wanted more and more from them. |

Catching Him is the newest book in a brand new romance series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. It was a light, fun, signature ARR book, with a whole new cast of characters to get to know and love. Summary: Leah Emerson has given up on chasing men. She's been there, done that, and got the broken heart to show for it. No. She knows what she wants, and it's going to have to be the right man that chases her. She also knows that her incredibly good looking and arrogant new neighbor is probably not that man. Tyler Duncan followed an opportunity he couldn't pass up, and now he's living in a new town with a new job. He wasn't looking for love until he caught his sexy neighbor breaking into his house. Tyler's experienced enough to know that good things don't fall into your life often. Especially not a woman he wants to touch, protect, and take care of so strongly. And he wants Leah. He’s always gone after the things he wants with steadfast determination, and Leah is no different. He’ll catch her, even if it’s with a little help from the pets in their lives. But Tyler will have his work cut out for him when it becomes apparent that he’s not the only one that wants Leah. Can he protect Leah, and show her that not only is he worth fighting for, but they are? ************************* Catching Him was an okay read for me. I enjoyed Tyler and Leah's romance, but felt other parts of the story didn't pack the punch they should have. I love Leah. She's smart, funny, knows what she wants, loves her family, stands up for what she believes in, and follows that through with action. She was cute and funny, and a heroine I'd want to be friends with. Tyler was all the best parts of an alpha male. He knew what he wanted and went about getting it or rather her. He was strong, possessive, and protective. He inserted himself in every aspect of Leah's life as he could, and I loved how he did it. Not pushy or overwhelming, but just there. As a couple, they were adorable and fit perfectly. My absolute favorite part of the book was their meet-cute. 😍 You just can't beat a hilarious case of breaking and entering while half dressed or the mischievous cat. This isn't a long book, so it's difficult to make a relationship seem anything other than insta-love, but ARR did it. I loved that despite the immediate zing between them, their relationship progressed steadily and smoothly. They had chances to get to know each other and find a friendship before taking it to the romantic level. That said, I'd never give up that romantic level. It was steamy and sweet. The chemistry only grew the more they were together, and the more emotion they felt toward each other. Overall, this was a great start to a new rom-com series. It's an easy, light read with a small element of suspense. While I'm happy the romance took center stage, there was enough that happened, that I wish the suspense part was fleshed out a bit more. Was it good without that? Yes. I just think the conclusion would have made a bigger impact if it wasn't so easily solved, and off-page at that. Secondary cast was great. I loved Leah's family. They had such a wonderful relationship and while Tyler's had that as well, it wasn't as prevalent because of proximity or lack thereof. Chrissy was a fantastic best friend, and I'm looking forward to learning more about her in her book. I was a little disappointed with how Heather's storyline ended. I was hoping we were leading up to another storyline idea, but it seemed to be solved off-page as well, with no hints at becoming its own story. That said, if you're looking for a quick escape from reality with a swoony alpha and strong woman, this is the book for you. You won't regret falling into this world for a bit or meeting the strong, sweet, funny characters that exist within it. |
Fun sweet low angst romance. Loved both characters and both of their families. As much as I really liked this book I just wish here had been a little more conflict. I enjoyed it but I found myself bored a few times while reading. If you’re in the mood for a low angst, sweet and sexy read then this is the book for you. |
Catching Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds is FREAKING AMAZING! I fell in love with this book right from the very first chapter. The sparks were flying and the heart was pumping. I honestly couldn't put this book down until I knew what the end was and it was stunning! |

I absolutely loved it and the characters were some of my favorites by this author. Excellent work as always by Aurora Rose Reynolds. |
This book was everything I was hoping for! Great chemistry and story line! I adore this author and everything she writes! |
Her first meeting with her sexy next door neighbor is something she will never forget. The chemistry between them could not be denied no matter how much she tried to fight the urges she felt when she saw him. She finally gives up when she feels safe in his arms as mysterious events start to unfold and threaten their safety. Absolutely love reading any book by Aurora! |
Catching Him **received an ARC in exchange for an honest review** 4 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ A quick fun, flirty read that has instantaneous attraction and two strong leads who will have you hooked from the start. |
Started out really cute and funny. Then got a bit more serious. I still don't understand why neither of them thought about ex when things started going wonky. Especially since everyone loves Leah and her only negative interactions have been with with this one person. Anyway, I think Aurora Rose Reynolds is finally back. I hope Baiting Him is just as good, if not better. |

There were cute pets, a entertaining and awkward first meeting, and great chemistry between the characters. This is a book that is low angst and the characters are dedicated to making things work...which isn't easy with some trouble thrown their way. Good cast of supporting characters that will hopefully get their own books. |
What a great start to the new How to Catch an Alpha Series. This is an entertaining read with characters you will fall in love with. Catching Him has the perfect mix of love, passion and humour, it will captivate you and draw you in from the very first page. Leah and Tyler think they are destined to stay single, they have both tried relationships without success but the attraction they feel for each other is intense but will they be prepared to take a chance and try love one more time ...... A perfect romance that has me swooning, smiling and giggling and if you are looking for a sweet feel good love story look no further than Catching Him. |
What an amazing first book in this new series! It's no secret the Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my favorite go to authors. I loved how we are in a new town with a new cast of characters but the same amazing story telling. I can not wait to see what is to come with this series |
I really loved and enjoyed this one, a great start to a new series. I really enjoyed the story line and the characters, can't wait to read more. |
This was such a sweet and spicy little story. I really enjoyed how utterly scrumptious Tyler was, and how he just went for Leah like a man on a mission. I didn't, however, like how weak-willed Leah was. Seriously? You can't tell a guy "no" so he ends up stalking you, threatening you, and then trashing your house? Grow some balls, lady and do the hard thing--no matter whose feelings will get hurt. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I look forward to reading the other books in this series. |
A great first book in this new series, fun characters and everything you expect from an ARR book, a strong, funny heroine and a hot as hell alpha who sees what he wants and takes it. I enjoyed the progression of the story, the introduction of the side characters who’s books we will also be getting, and I loved the first meeting of the main characters. This book was everything I was hoping for from ARR’s new series but also, so much more. I can’t wait for more from this series. |
A cat burglary gone wrong introduces Leah to Tyler....the new man next door! Let me just say I love Tyler. Confident, forward and a man who knows what wants, totally swoon worthy! 'I’m hoping you like what we’re building as much as I do . I know we’re just getting to know each other, but I know what I feel when I’m with you, and I know I want more of that.' A sweet, hot, drama filled story with a fab load of side characters, my fave was Chrissie, the best friend. She is someone I would love in my life...'Have I told you I love him for you?' |
The writing was good the story though was just a little dramatic for my tastes and I found my self wanting more |
Lighthearted, witty and written like an advice column, “Catching Him” is a 21st century guide to dating without the use of any app. With lots of laugh out loud funny moments, it is hard to put down once you start reading. And if you choose to listen to the audiobook, Carly Robins is as delightful as ever. Alexander Cendese was also a joy to listen to, except that he only had two chapters and I would have loved to listen to him more. Set in a small town in Tennessee, “Catching Him” follows hairdresser Leah Emerson and construction foreman Tyler Duncan who happened to be neighbors. New in town, Tyler met town native Leah via their pets. Leah’s cat like escaping to Tyler’s house while Tyler’s dog thinks that Leah’s porch is the best place to hang out. So in between picking up their pets from each other’s houses, Leah and Tyler started a friendship that turned into a romantic relationship. And when their families and friends got involved, i.e., they started to be curious on what the heck was truly going on between them, family dinners were hilarious affairs. A rom-com through and through with a little bit of drama and a little bit of mystery plus some steamy scenes to add spice to the story, “Catching Him” is a great lighthearted read. As I said earlier, Carly Robins, and Alexander Cendese were both delightful to listen to. I liked Carly’s work in “The Kiss Quotient” by Helen Hoang. And though we had very little of Alexander in this book, his work in “Damaged Like Us” by Krista Richie and Becca Richie has impressed me. Five stars performance for these two. “Catching Him” is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content. |
This is a new to me author but not for long I plan to read more by the author. I enjoyed this and the meet cute characters meeting up by accident by their pets this was swoony and a good romance and I love the cover! |
This is a great start to a new series and such a sweet read. These two were so sweet together and sure did turn up the heat. Tyler and Leah had great chemistry. Leah is single and co-owns a salon with her mom and grandma. She stays busy helping run the family business and take her clients. She is wanting to settle down one day but is so picky. Leah never expected she would meet someone like Tyler, they don’t get along at all. He is new in town and works in construction. Tyler wasn’t looking to meet anyone but once he meets Leah he can’t back down. He will do whatever it takes to win her over. I really enjoyed this sweet read and can’t wait for the next book in this series. |
