I really enjoy Aurora Rose Reynolds’ books and writing style so “Catching Him” was one of my most highly anticipated books of 2019. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. This book felt too much like some of Aurora’s other books. I love an alpha male so that was no problem but everything else felt like something I had already read by her. This book follows two neighbors, Leah and Tyler. They meet one morning when Leah opens her door to get her mail and her cat escapes and jumps into Tyler’s open window. Leah then jumps in the window to rescue her cat because she believes the house is vacant... even though there are moving trucks right outside and his truck had been in the driveway for days. Leah felt a little childish to me and whenever Tyler said something alpha male like (ex. “You’re mine now”), Leah’s always responded with things like “Oh my goodness,” “Holy cow” and “Holy moly.” It happened so often it quickly became cringey and annoying. After their awkward meeting, they quickly form a cute friendship that leads to an epic romance. Though this book got on my nerves at points it was still an enjoyable read. I was definitely rooting for the characters to end up together and for the most part enjoyed all the drama with the ex-boyfriend that ensued. Overall, this was an average read. If you’re looking for an easy romance with some drama and an alpha male, I would definitely recommend you pick this one up.

Happy reading!

Aurora Rose Reynolds does it again with a brand new series How to Catch a Alpha! I'm sure this woman writes the absolute best alpha's going. Their all growly and protective and just make your heart skip a beat.
Everytime i read a book from this author i know I'll love it, whether its a Until book or another series its everything to do with the writing and the characters.

Leah and Tyler are amazing, so great together, the relationship between them is hot and sweet and their jokes between each other just seals the package for me.

Leah was cute and funny, she meets Tyler by accident by trying to retrieve her cat from his house.

Tyler is absolutely amazing, i loved him from the very first page i met him, he was the perfect alpha he has the whole 'until boom' alpha vibe going for him.

Seriously this book is so good! You need to grab it when it releases!
I can't wait for more in this series!

I totally loved this sweet, somewhat fluffy alpha romance. There was just the right mix of light hearted drama, comedy and heat. Definitely keen for more of this series, feels a bit like the return to the old school ARR awesomeness!

This is an amazing start to hopefully a new series! Aurora makes you fall in love with the ultimate alpha male and this time was no different! I love the way the titles were written and the way she can write easy banter so well. She has the perfect feel good stories and her stories leave you wanting more!

Thank you Netgalley and Montlake Romance for the advanced copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a sweet, sexy, melt-your-knees kind of story that any romance-sucker could get into. Since this is by Aurora Rose Reynolds, I wasn't surprised by how quickly I got sucked into the story.

Tyler is a gem: sexy, kind, protective and love kids. I mean, can he get any more perfect?

Tyler and Leah make sense. They both love animals. Leah's parents want to marry her off and Tyler is no commitment-phobe. Oh, and they live across each other. How awesome is that?

Nothing but love for this one!

Catching Him is the first book in a new series How to Catch A Alpha by Aurora Rose Reynolds. This has the feel of her Until Series but yet it doesn’t. Catching Him is a sweet, cute and funny story. I found myself easily sucked into the plot as it was engaging and entertaining.

Leah is an independent woman who lives alone except for super sassy cat that could care less about her. Just like all the men in her life. See she has been unlucky in love so she’s decided that she’s done chasing men. If they want to be with her they will do the chasing this time. She’s tired of games and she’s not getting any younger. Where are all the good guys? They might be closer than Leah knows, like right next door. Who is the new mystery man with six pack abs, tan skin and gorgeous lips?

Tyler just moved to Mount Pleasant from Tennessee with his adorable dog Bruce. Leaving behind friends and family he’s ready to start a new chapter in his life. What he’s not expecting is his beautiful and sassy neighbor whose vibrant and sweet. He wants her and he always gets what he wants, but he’s going to take it slow so he doesn’t scare her off. Or will he say screw it and get the girl?

This was funny at times especially their first meeting and any interaction with her devil cat. What I enjoyed most about the story was things were not avoided. They communicated, not beat around the bush with things. Hello adulthood! Of course we get the sexy alpha male, protectiveness from Tyler, but we also get a heroine whose not dumb.

Yes, this is sexy. ARR knows how to write those steamy scenes that have you fanning yourself. I am hoping that they next book in series involves a character we have already been introduced too, but if not oh well I’ll still read it. ARR is one of my go to authors. Every book I read I also get what I’m hoping for. They seem to just dig into my heart and worm themselves in there forever.
I highly recommend this if your looking for a light and funny read, very little drama.

I love romance books especially insta love. This was an easy to read low drama read. I loved Leah and her introduction to Tyler was great, the story mainly focuses on their relationship and how it develops which is what I love. There is some drama as always but it’s not OTT or too far fetched and it doesn’t overshadow them as a couple. Great feel good read can’t wait for more.

What a beautiful and fun book!

Leah and Tyler's story is such a breath of fresh air. Tyler is such a yummy box of alpha bossiness, wrapped up with a sexy bow. Leah is kind and beautiful. They make for the perfect match. They meet in the most unconventional way.

Full of quirky and laugh out loud moments. The storyline is soaked in passion and love. Such exquisite writing. An absolute joy to read. It will make you feel good and you will fall head over heels for this amazing couple! An absolute MUST READ! I loved every word!

I am not sure what I was expecting when I started this book. I have always admired this author from afar but despite her books being on my TBR had never really taken the plunge when it came to reading her work. However, this blurb drew me in. The first meet between the characters because of her cat made me laugh. I was hoping that it would continue throughout the story. However, it didn't. There was just something missing there.

I am not sure what it was missing but it felt too perfect despite great characters and adorable animals. There was little to no angst in this story. It was sugary sweet. That being said, it still makes me want to move this author up on my TBR as I can definitely see why she is so popular.

First I love Aurora's words. Leah is sweet smart and a great aunt. Tyler is a caring and protective man. They are neighbors. Tyler makes Leah feel safe and wanted. His mom makes him feel bad about moving away. Tyler doesn't deserve to feel bad about moving away. Tyler loves how Leah cares about people and wants to see the good in everyone. Leah is optimistic and impulsive. Leah catches something beautiful when she catches the guy next doo. This is great start to a new series.

Enjoyed this romance between Leah and Tyler - the best bit being that they didn't play games and communicated with each other. They both seemed lovely people - the only thing I was wondering about was how they got to their 30s without finding someone before! I could really see them being happy together in the long term. Such a relief not to read about a ton of drama and angst which leaves you wondering how the couple will actually get on when they're not high on adrenaline from traumatic events.

There was a little bit of a mystery element, but tbh it was pretty obvious whodunit.

A nice, undemanding romance. I'll add this review to Amazon once it's released.

Catching Him was the first book I read from author Aurora Rose Reynolds, and it was a short but sweet book that got me through a blazingly hot weekend! The writing style was honestly not for me, but it’s not why I docked one star off my rating.

Although I enjoyed the book, I was never really sucked into Leah and Tyler’s romance, but there were a handful of moments between them that were the sweetest thing ever. I liked how Leah and Tyler were so supportive of each other and how they were both the opposites in the pets they had. While Leah had a cat, Tyler had a dog. *spoiler* Speaking of, I loved it when Leah decided to go on her own to buy Bruce a new collar and tag after his original ones went missing! *spoiler* The romance was fast, but it was so refreshing that Tyler was always straightforward with Leah about how he felt about her.

However, the pacing of the book sometimes felt off. There was an incident that happened early on *spoiler* when an arsonist set fire to Tyler’s workplace *spoiler* but we never really got back to that until much later, around the end of the book. And since it took a long time to get there, I was starting to think I was wrong about who’d done it! Besides this, there was very little angst in this book. I was totally fine with that, seeing as too much angst can also be annoying to read, but I did get the impression that more would be done about the incident.

One thing I really loved about the book though was Leah’s and Tyler’s families! Tyler’s parents *spoiler* his mom, in particular *spoiler* were frosty at first, but I was so glad that they didn’t stay that way and eventually mellowed out. Both their families were great and only just wanted the best for them. Their families were important to the book and were never too far away if Leah or Tyler needed or just wanted to see them.

Since this is the first book in a series, I’m hoping I’ll enjoy the next one more!

This is a book to read when you want a down home, feel good romance to read.

Tyler and Leah could be called love at first sight even though they don’t describe themselves that way. Their relationship was very easy, very little drama...I mean there is some it is a ARR book. LOL

This is just a book that makes you feel good and realize there are relationships that can be easy. There are relationships where you truly enjoy every minute with your other half. My husband and myself remind me some of Tyler and Leah. The 8-10 hours away from each other everyday sucks. We love spending time together and hate any trips that take us away from each other because we don’t want to ever sleep away from each other.

This book had me all smiles and laughs! This is a new world she is creating and I’m interested to see how it progresses.

This is a fun read, and if you're a fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds already (or Penny Wylder, Tessa Bailey, etc.) you'll love this!

I love neighbor-turned-romance books, and this didn't disappoint!

This book is amazing. However, I do think it was missing some something. Maybe because no one was kidnapped or there wasn't more sassy banter between the H & h in the beginning. It had more of insta love feel to it more than her other books.

i did like this book a lot. It started really funny but it did lose the humour a bit from the middle onward. It was a nice love story starting from friends and turning into lovers.
I absolutely loved the dog and how he got attached to the heroine so fast. The cat's antics were so funny in the beginning and I would have loved to see her a bit more in the rest of the book and not just being told that she likes to hide.
I was not a fan of the "accidents" and I could see who the "bad" guy was from the beginning. I feel like it was just there for the sake of having something bad happening to them and it did not bring anything to the story. However, it was not bad by any means.
One thing I would change is equal dual perspectives, I think the guy only had a few chapters and I would have enjoyed reading from his point of view more, especially in the beginning.
Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot, but then again, I enjoy everything Aurora Rose Reynolds writes.
