This is the first Mr Dog story I have read but it won't be the last. I have already purchased the paperback for my classroom and will be recommending that we buy the series for our school library.

Told in child-friendly language and with lots of fun pictures throughout, this story with short chapters is great for those just beginning to read longer fiction. The story is fun and engaging with just enough action and peril!

I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Mr Dog and the Faraway Fox is the 4th book from the Mr Dog series. It is co-written by Ben Fogel and Steve Cole. It's an easy to read story about a dog who helps other animals in trouble. In this story he comes across a fox who needs his help. There are black and white illustrations to aid readers. It's a light entertaining mystery, an ideal story for young readers.

I think my his book be suitable for children in Year 1 or Year 2+ as there's not many difficult words to read.

This is the fourth in the series and I adored it. I have been a fan of Mr Dog since he first appeared with his spotty neck scarf, sophistication and charm.
He has met and helped lots of animals along his travels and he is always kind hearted and brave.
In this adventure, Mr Dog is having a rest with Minnah after he was found with a hurt paw, She has been taking care of him and he is enjoying the food and company. Minnah loves animals and is also looking after a tortoise. Shelly is missing her friend Crawly, who has been missing for a few days, Mr Dog loves a good mystery and when he catches a whiff of a Fox, he heads out the cat flap to investigate!

Adventure awaits as the Fox is playing with Crawly, and is keen to find his old human Ryan! Mr Dog is perfect to help out but of course it can’t always run smoothly! Ferdy the Fox and Mr Dog become friends and try to solve the mystery of who is taking tortoises.

Will they find Ryan, will Mr Dog stay with Minnah and where could he possibly go next?

Again, this book features the amazing illustrations of Nikolas Ilic!

I love this series and have recommended it many times across my schools. They are perfect for young readers who love nature and learning about animals!
