This book is a slow burn but is filled with twists and turns. It kept me guessing throughout.
The story is told in a dual timeline which I liked

This is the first Teresa Driscoll novel I've read and it's an absolute cracker! Fast-paced, gripping and filled with a host of possible suspects, it has all the necessary ingredients to make a tasty whodunit pie that I devoured in two big bites.

Hoax calls at a newspaper aren't out of the ordinary so when journalist Alice picks up the phone one Wednesday afternoon, and the reader is given the most chilling opening line, she is rattled but she doesn't take it too seriously. Until the next Wednesday when Alice receives a delivery that makes her take it very seriously indeed. Dreading each Wednesday and the disturbing escalating threats, Alice's boyfriend hires a private investigator to keep Alice safe. What the PI doesn't know is that Alice isn't who she appears to be...cue dramatic music!

What a twisty ride this is! With secrets being revealed from Alice's past and flashbacks to the perpetrator's past, my eyes were glued to the page and I couldn't read fast enough. Although not excusing his current actions, I actually felt really sorry for the mystery boy in the 'Him' chapters. Brought up by his gran who goes to work on a Wednesday night to make ends meet, he is scarred by events beyond his control. No wonder he hates Wednesdays.

Alice's past is equally intriguing and I loved the extra layer this gave to the intricate and carefully crafted story. It certainly made me suspect pretty much every male character in the book at one point or another and really kept me on my toes. I didn't even realise I'd held my breath towards the end until it exploded out of my mouth as my jaw dropped. Such brilliant writing!

Suspenseful, chilling and filled with tension, I Will Make You Pay is a breathtaking thriller. It may be my first Teresa Driscoll novel but it most definitely will not be my last.

I chose to read an ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

I am already a huge fan of this author and this book confirms why.
Another brilliant read.
Utterly gripped from reading the cover to the last word. Raced through this book, could not turn the pages quick enough to find out more.
The 3 way perspective is very clever and works fantastically well. There is always a worry it may be confusing but not in this case at all. It added a depth and detail you just couldn't have got otherwise.
I am only sorry I read this so quickly as it was all over too soon.
Huge fan of the author and very very grateful for the copy of this ok thank you

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

I loved Teresa Driscoll’s, I am watching you. However, this one just didn’t have the pull and intrigue like her other novel. Unfortunately, it was a miss.

This suspenseful thriller is the story of a journalist who receives a threatening phone call every Wednesday from a stalker. It kept me guessing (and reading) as the interactions with the stalker grew more and more intense. I recommend this book for readers who like a fast paced thriller. I highly recommend!

I received an advanced readers copy of this book for my unbiased review.

This book follows the story of a journalist who starts receiving threatening calls, flowers and notes, all on the same day, Wednesday. It flips through perspectives of different characters, and timeframes.

There were several options for the “who did it” but when you find out who, it was staring you in the face all along.

I enjoyed this book!

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

This tells the story of Alice Henderson, a journalist for a small-town newspaper. One Wednesday, while at work, she receives a phone call from someone using a voice scrambler, with a disturbing message. At first, she doesn't think anything of it and thinks it might be about a story she's working on. Then, she gets another chilling message the following Wednesday. and hires a private investigator when the police investigation stalls. She is still not sure if this is personal or an attack against the newspaper until a threat is posed to her mother. She desperately wants to put an to this stalking but doesn't know who would want to stalk her. She can't figure out why it happens on Wednesdays. Does it have something to do with her own secrets she's hiding from her past or something in her present life?

I thought the ending was a bit rushed and things were tied up nicely but it didn't need to be so rushed.

A solid stalker suspense - I read it in less than 24 hours and it was definitely one that held my attention for the most part.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I usually love thrillers and can't put them down. For some reason I just couldn't get into this one. Will still attempt other books by this author as the concept of the book made me want to read it!

Wednesday is just an ordinary day. For most of us. But for Alice, it´s the scariest, most dreadful, and torturous of days. It´s the day when her stalker comes out from his hiding place and makes her day a living hell. Not knowing what will come next, Alice is scared for herself and her mother, not just every Wednesday but every day, seeing danger all around her, not trusting anyone, and living her life in fear.
She loses everything in the process, her career in journalism gets on hold, her past gets revealed and her self-confidence shaken. Who is the man calling her, following her, threatening her and her loved ones? Did she do anything to make her ex-husband furious? Or is the stalker some psychotic stranger?
This plot is captivating, it pulls you in and doesn´t let go until the very end. I kind of suspected what the outcome will be, but it didn´t bother me, because the ending is so brilliantly executed. The flow of the book is great, I loved the different POV´s - one from Alice and the other from Him. From his perspective, the reader gets to know the mind of the stalker and his motives, slowly building the tension, until the last piece of the puzzle is fitted into the jigsaw. And then Wednesday becomes just another day of the week.

For Alice one day of the week is worse than any other, Wednesdays. In this thriller Alice has a stalker who tends to always strike on Wednesdays. This book was fast paced and kept me guessing at who was causing all the problems. It did wrap up a little quick, but was still enjoyable and a satisfactory ending.
