Alice Henderson is a journalist who seems to have a normal life, well atleast everyday except on Wednesday's. The first incident was a simple phone call that she thought was just a crank call. As time moves on and it continues, she realizes that she is being stalked. Her stalker knows too many details about her life but only contacts her on Wednesdays. The book is told from different points of view (mainly Alice and "Him"). Matthew, the private investigator does provide some information to the story. The story starts very slow but helps with the suspense and building the story. The ending is guessable even though there are several possibilities to who the stalker could be. Alice certainly has a past that is revealed half way through the book and helps you to understand more of why things are happening. There are lots of side stories that are told that should help you put everything together or at least see the bigger picture. I Will Make You Pay would certainly make the perfect Lifetime Movie and I would watch it. I did feel like the ending was a little rushed and would have liked more.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I absolutely loved this book. this was my 2nd book by Teresa Driscoll, and I'm totally hooked, I was completely in awe of the unpredictable twists and turns that kept me reading well into the night. This was a thoroughly enjoyable heart-pounding thriller, and it kept me guessing from one chapter to the next. Well done!!

I will recommend it to everyone I know.. I love page-turners like this that keep the reader guessing, and would most definitely consider reading her other books. :)

We’ve all gotten cranks calls at one time or another. Kids being silly, a wrong number too embarrassed to say something..the heavy breather. What if you get these calls with regularity? On the same day? Weekly? Would you be paranoid if you think this is more than a coincidence? Read the book and see if the harassed is acting the way you would..or would you do something else? Suspenseful read.

I have read a few books about stalkers recently and this is one of the better ones. A twisty thriller with plenty of suspense, and a shock ending that I did not guess. Recommended.

I received a free copy from NetGalley. A threatening call on a Wednesday from a possible stalker turns into something more as they continue each week and Alice has secrets of her own that she is trying to hide. Told by three characters, and getting off on a few side tangents, this is an okay suspense thriller.

The book was a good read. I do not think it was standing out among all the other books but good read on rainy Sunday evening.

I Will Make You Pay is a fast paced thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last page.

The main character, Alice, works as a journalist at a dying paper. She receives a series of quickly escalating threats and actions on Wednesdays, despite her and her family’s best efforts at security and protection.

We hear the story through a trio of narrators - Alice, the private investigator Matthew, and “Him.” The characters were well developed and it was easy to switch between chapters.

I don't know what's possessed me to read adult thrillers lately, but I Will Make You Pay did not disappoint and may have convinced me to read more.

We follow Alice as she's harassed and threatened every Wednesday with a variety of different methods, until she hires a private investigator turned "bodyguard" to get down to the bottom of it.

There's questions that I found I was asking myself: why Wednesdays? what did Alice do? who has she pissed off that much? These questions were so vaguely explained while reading that it made it exciting to keep reading to find them unravel and fully explained.

I knew early on that the cops were chasing after the wrong guy. However, I am actually surprised with the outcome of the story. There were a few things that I didn't see coming . . . especially that ending.

There were a few things that you or more less had to read in between the lines, but this was a very nice read. I hardly ever figure out the "who done it," so the thrill kept me reading and intrigued until the end.

The mark of a good psychological thriller in my book is whether it keeps me up at night, listening for sounds in the backyard. This one did in spades. There were some detours that didn't add a lot to the story but fleshed out the characters but for the most part, Driscoll stuck to the central story of Alice, a talented reporter, who is being stalked by someone who attacks her every Wednesday. At first the threats are small (a phone call with a garbled voice) but when events escalate, Alice's boyfriend Tom enlists the service of a PI Walter. Before long, we learn Alice is hiding a secret that may point to the person behind the threats. There's a rich mix of characters surrounding Alice (her mother, sister, co-worker, activists she encounters on an expose she's doing) so you're kept guessing until the very end. Definitely worth a read for those who like good puzzles and suspense reads.

When Journalist Alice Henderson is threatened over phone, she dismisses it as a hoax. But when the warnings escalate every Wednesday, she cannot ignore it. Alice is determined not to give in to fear, but her boyfriend insists on hiring private investigator Matthew Hill.

The story is well-paced and the characters are well-developed. There were some shocking twists. Overall, a very enjoyable read. Thanks to Netgalley and Amazon Publishing for providing me with an ARC of this book.

This is one intense, twisted, dark, addictive, insane, jaw-dropping novel! Not only is this a very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds. Compulsive, gripping and horrifying! Will have you on the edge of your seat and gasping with shock!

Alice is a journalist for a small local country paper in England. When she answers the phone at work on a Wednesday she is shocked by the callers threat, "I am going to use cheese wire on you." Little did Alice know at that time that Wednesdays for the next several weeks would be filled with fear and the unknown of what the next threat from her stalker would be. Her boyfriend, Tom, hires a private investigator Matthew Hill because he does not have much faith in the police and their ability to keep Alice safe. Matthew is an ex-cop and works with this old partner DI Melanie Sanders who has been assigned to Alice's stalker case. As DI Melanie Sanders starts to look into Alice's case and her past, she discovers that Alice may not be who she said she is. Is it possible that Alice's past has caught up to her? Could her ex-fiancee Alex really be behind the stalking? Alice doesn't think so, but the that the police learn about Alex, the more they start to think that he is behind the stalking of Alice.

***warning- this story contains hints to sexual child abuse endured by "Him" (the stalker) as he was younger by a neighbor that occurred over the course of several years. It also talks about Alice's ex-fiancee and him having multiple sexual relationships with underage girls. The story does not go into any great detail, only hints or mentions the above events, but wanted to mention this as I know that this may be bothersome to some readers.

This book is written with multiple narrators, and as previously mentioned, I am not often a huge fan of this style of writing. However, this was done really well in this book and I found that it helped provide different perspectives to the story that were quite helpful. The multiple narrators are: Alice, Matthew, and Him - before.

The story itself was very fast paced and draws you in almost immediately with Alice getting the phone call with the "cheese wire" threat. It is filled with many twists and turns. Teresa does an excellent job at keeping you guessing who the stalker is. Honestly, I couldn't figure it out. It definitely has a surprising twist at the end that will shock you.

Rating: 3 out of 5. I am knocking off two points from my rating because of the hints to sexual child abuse, which I don't feel like added anything to the story.

Thank you Amazon Publishing UK and Net Galley for the copy of this book and apologies I have not reviewed before now but I have only just read.

Wow is my first word I loved this book - this is a psychological thriller worth reading. Teresa Driscoll has done it again. A dead husband, another woman I won't say any more. Definitely recommend you read this and can we please have another book soon?

I liked this book. The characters, at first were hard to keep straight, and hard to get a real feel for. As the book progressed, it became easier to follow and hard to put down.

Alice a journalist is sent a threatening note that she will be cut by a cheese wire, but this is not the first note she has received and strangely it always occurs on a Wednesday. After several more threats, her husband Tom employs Matthew a private investigator to keep her safe and discover who the culprit is. I Will Make You Pay is an entertaining suspense thriller that is told through multiple points of view.
