That Forever Girl is the second book in the Getting Lucky series. It can be read as a standalone, I missed the first book and I had no problem jumping into this one. This story is a does go back and forth from past to present, it's a second chance, cursed brothers, emotional, and for the most part I liked it. It took me a bit to warm up to the characters Rogan and Harper. For adults they reminded me of teenagers at times. I did find the banter between the Knightly family funny. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I received this book from Netgalley.

I know book two is a little early to be calling a favorite Knightly brother, but I don't see it getting better than Rogan (I adored Griffin; Brig and Reid - prove me wrong).

I LOVE ROGAN! How can you not? Don’t get me wrong, he definitely tries to make you not like him. He’s moody, grumpy, and sometimes downright mean. But he’s hurting, he’s struggling, and as the pieces of his past reveal why he’s that way, you begin to understand. Be patient with him. Underneath that hardened, gruff exterior he’s an amazing guy. He’s sweet, funny, charismatic, cocky, smart, and oh so sexy.

I don’t know why, but I came into this story automatically not liking Harper. I felt oddly protective of Rogan after reading Griffin’s story and I just wanted to see him happy and for some reason had it in my head that she couldn’t be good enough for him. But as I got to know her, I couldn’t help but adore her. I can see why Rogan fell in love with her. She’s so sweet, loyal, and loving. She’s beyond patient but she’s not without her own struggles.

You guys...this story is amazing! It was a roller coaster of emotions, and is by far one of the best Meghan Quinn books I’ve read to date. These characters stick with you, make you fall in love with them, and root for them to find their ways. I absolutely love the Knightly brothers and this whole town.

This one gets ALL the stars from me!

I can't even describe with words how much I loved That Forever Girl book. This story is a romance masterpiece with phenomenal plot which grabbed me by my heart and soul and still holds in its embrace.
I was overwhelmed with emotions after reading this incredible story.
I've never thought that I would love a second chance romance so much.
I had amazing time reading this book and I didn't want to get to the end of it. Definitely this is the must read romance of 2019.

Harper and Rogan were high school sweethearts whose friendship grew into unconditional love but one terrible day changed their life forever where one heart was shattered into million pieces by the other.

I always thought that once you have a badly broken heart you can never be healed. I thought that second chance love doesn't have a chance to survive, that it's almost impossible to forget and forgive someone who once hurt you so bad but this story is written in spectacular manner that makes me believe in some cases it can really happen.
Author presents their story by mixing past and present events of their life and it was amazing journey.
With That Forever Girl I've experienced whole range of emotions. I was swooning around their relationship and felt their high and lows with every beat of my heart. Their chemistry was breathtaking and out of the charts and I was impatiently waiting for their intimate scenes,
There were also many heartbreaking moments where I was crying like a goner.
Meghan Quinn gave me more than beautiful and romantic story with That Forever Girl book. She gave me also some mystery in the plot, changing scenery and very accurate descriptions of the places where we can easily imagine this small, cozy Port Snow town.
There is also some humor and fanny scenes in the story that won't let you put this book down.
I need to mention about secondary characters, Rogan brothers, all four Knightly were handsome and in their twenties. Their brotherhood was beyond amazing and I don't know how many times I was LMAO at the description on when they've met or when they were texting each other.
Meghan Quinn is new author to me and I can't believe that I didn't find her books earlier because it was everything my hopeless romantic soul needs.

***4 Stars***

After reading That Second Chance, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the books in the series, so I was all kinds of excited to dive into this baby and in the end, I ended up loving Rogan and Harper, but lemme tell you...If it hadn’t been for the Knightly clan, I may have had to toss this baby into the freezer. The frustration was soooo real...but thankfully that lightbulb moment happened and from then on, I couldn’t put the book down and was very happy with where Rogan and Harper ended up.

Rogan. This man. I hurt for him. I wanted to take 2x4 to his head and knock some sense into him but I also ended up falling in love with him once the walls he’d built up came tumbling down and the sweet man with a good heart underneath it all finally came out to play. I really liked Harper. She’s sweet, sassy and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She’s at a crossroads of sorts and I loved how honest she was through it all and how she came out stronger on the other side.

Harper and Rogan’s journey was a lesson in frustration because it was so easy to see how good they were together. I couldn’t fault either of them for what had gone down when they broke up, it was just a horrible time all around, but I will admit I tended to be #teamharper when it came to all that was, and wasn’t happening, in their present. Thankfully they get the nudges they needed, thanks the Knightly clan as well as all the inhabitants of Port Snow, and I loved how they put the past to rest so they could have a future.

This was another fun read in the Getting Lucky series. Yes, this one kicked the frustration level up a notch, and at times dragged a bit for me, but it was tempered by the meddling and crazyness of the Knightly clan and with that said, I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one because if that little moment was any indication, it looks like the next Knightly brother will definitely be knocked on his ass...hard.

I love love love Rogan and Harper’s story!!! They are Best friends and inseparable. Then they realize they like each other more than friends. But then something happens that destroys it all! 7 years goes by and Harper moves back home where Rogan still lives. Can they live in the same town? Or will the memories be to much? Through out the book there are flashbacks of their past that I love and rooting for them to get back to together. But can they let go of the guilt and pain? Rogan pushes away his forever girl and is now closed off. He might be a different man and a successful realtor but there is something missing in his life. Harper doesn’t know who she is anymore and just wants to find her home! But will they destroy each other before it is all over or forgive and find the friendship they once had? Book given to me on netgalley

4.5 stars of epic Lovemark channel romance!

Meghan Quinn is no slouch when it comes to feels. She doesn't shy away from heartache, heartbreak, and pain. If she isn't making you double over in laughter, swooning like an 19th century debutante, than she's making the fight against tears a formidable one. That's just the way she writes!

That Forever Girl is no exception. With a healthy dose of pain, longing, and unrequited love, That Forever Girl is everything I said. There are heartwarming moments of hilarity, heart eyed swooning, and hard fought battles against your tear ducts. (Good luck winning those!)

Even the title makes me misty eyed now that the significance is obvious. This family, these brothers, this town, everything screams HOME!

Meghan Quinn is going to have to create and found Port Snow so that we can all experience the joys it brings.

That Forever Girl by Meghan Quinn is the second book in her Getting Lucky series and is second chance romance. Rogan and Harper seemed destined to be together. Friends since they were kids, it blossomed into more. But when tragedy strikes everything changes and Rogan pushes Harper away. When she returns years later, the feelings are still there, even if they try and deny them.

Rogan is not happy Harper is back. She wants nothing to do with him. And yet the town has their own opinion! That Forever Girl by Meghan Quinn was an emotional second chance romance. Seeing their story develop as we learn their history and see them deal with their preset. I absolutely loved Rogan and Harper’s journey, even as my heart broke, I cheered for them every step of the way!

4.5-stars. Happy reading!

I did not know that this book was the second Knightly brother story, but this is a standalone.

Rogan Knightly is a bit of a grump and doesn’t really know what to think when his ex-fiancé comes back to their little town.

Harper is moving back home to help her father. At least that’s what she tells everyone. She still feels guilt towards how things were before in their relationship, until Rogan ended their engangement 7 years ago in College. He burned her badly and she doesn’t know if things will ever be ok between them again. Until she finds out that he bought all the houses she loved in their little town and restored them.
Why?

This was a great second chance book and I will definitely wait for more to come!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.

Welcome back to Port Snow. I’m love this town almost as much as the endearing Knightly brothers ♥️ This story gave me goosies right up to that magical ending. Rogan and Harper take top spot for favorite Knightly brother/couple. My heart is so full from this epic second chance romance that defeated all odds of breaking the love curse and healing old wounds. Meghan Quinn stuns my heart once again by creating a world with dazzling characters and a heart warming romance.

Rogan and Harper have the kind of best friends to lovers everyone wishes for. Their transition into a relationship was flawless and effortless. You can tell these two are true soulmates. And soulmates never die, even if there’s a seven year break and the guy is a complete dick!! Rogan truly has a heart of gold, sometimes it just needs to be polished to shine again. Harper’s character was fantastic, her brave discovery and acceptance of a life she wants to live calls to my wandering heart space 💜

This series is one of my top favorites from Meghan! It’s jammed packed with laugh out loud moments, all the love and romance you could want and beautiful story telling. I can’t wait for Brig and Reid’s stories and more of Port Snow.

“I like to believe that some people hold the beat of another human’s heart in theirs, and they spend their entire lives searching for the owner.”

What a joy it was to be back with the Knightly clan and all the loveable quirky characters who reside in Port Snow, that quaint little New England town where meddlers, gossipers, and well-meaning folk make it a point to know each other’s business. And the sexy Knightly boys are most certainly the topic of conversation on many lips! There’s plenty to gossip about since Griffin, Rogan, Reid, and Brig were love cursed by an angry clairvoyant two years ago on a boozy boys trip in New Orleans.

We first met these men in That Second Chance which was Griffin and Ren’s story, and now, in That Forever Girl, we explore Rogan’s and Harper’s love story. A childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance which we felt in our hearts.

“I love you, and that’s never going to change.”

That Forever Girl is told in dual pov with past to present switches so we share the progressive relationship from childhood friends to lovers, leading to the bitter breakup that left Harper bereft and desperately unhappy, and Rogan an unhappy angry man. What happened? What went so wrong in such an idyllic and perfect love story? Well, the outcome really did take us by surprise.

‘What do you say to the love of your life, the girl you pushed away so many years ago?’

It’s been seven years since Harper and Rogan’s love shattered, seven years in which they’ve tried to put the past behind them, however, when Harper returns to Port Snow old wounds are re-opened and painful pasts addressed. Harper was Rogan’s world – he was going to marry this girl.

“She didn’t just lose you, Rogan; she lost all of us.”

As Harper and Rogan return to the past we learn of a love story within a story which was so sweet and mysterious, and the way in which Harper and Rogan’s love story was so influenced by the town is endearing. Meghan Quinn really captured the essence of the love they both shared. A friendship that started in the sixth grade, towards a love that refused to die.

“Kiss me like you mean it, Harper.”

We adore the small town experience Meghan Quinn brings to this story. She so vividly brings the town to life with her words – so much so, we want to pack our bags and holiday there and taste the fudge, enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a chin wag with the locals! They’re so offbeat and fun.

It’s not only the love story and the town, but the family dynamics of the Knightly clan also gave us such a laugh. The group text ‘Four Men and a Witch’ with the four brothers and their sister Jen is hilarious and the meddling was delightful. Such little details added to the ambiance of the story.

“Can you please stop meddling in my life?” Dad laughs. “It’s cute you asked that son, but no.”

If you love small-town romances that are rich in scenery, packed with sweetness, heat, and fun, and looking for an easy reading escape, look no further than the Getting Lucky series! We promise it will put a smile on your face! We can’t wait for The Secret Crush, the next book in the series releasing February 2020!

5 Making Each Other Whole Stars!!!

I’m SO HAPPY to be back in Port Snow and Rogan and Harper’s story is everything I wanted and so much more!! These two have been a couple for as long as anyone can remember in this quaint New England town until things change during college and oh my heart truly hurt for both of them for so many different reasons.

Before I get to the real meat of my review I want to say this series has rapidly become one of my favorite by Ms. Quinn and overall from all the books I’ve read! Her writing has a quirkiness to it that just captures my heart but also has me literally snort laughing at times when Rogan and his brothers and sister are ripping into each other! And the “everyone knows your business” in a small town is so accurate in Port Snow. There’s a cast of secondary characters in addition to the Knightly family that become pivotal to the plot of this story.

Harper has been gone from her hometown for seven long years and she comes home hoping she won’t have to see or hear about the love of her life Rogan Knightly, but life just isn’t that kind. Talk about awkward moments. It was clear to me and everyone around them that the pain of their breakup is still at the forefront of their hearts. And let me tell you, there’s some serious verbal sparring going on with them…making me laugh, roll my eyes or cry depending on who’s doing the jabbing!

This story moves at a fabulous pace and I loved how we move between the past and the present. Seeing their relationship develop into what they thought was forever and then the dramatic change that broke both their hearts. Rogan was a true a-hat at times but his love for this girl has never wavered and we see this in the little things. And for her part Harper’s keeping a couple of things close to her heart in fear of hurting again. But once they get past some of these hurdles, watch out they’re on fire and better than ever before.

Let’s not forget the curse that the Knightly boys were warned about in That Second Chance which they all try to say they don’t believe, but yeah, it’s there on the tip of their tongues every time they talk about relationships. Add to this the mystery of letters that Harper and Rogan find in the old Manor Home and we’ve got a little suspense going on and oh these letters are truly beautiful and express a love that just isn’t found as often as it should. These letters and the mystery surrounding them drives Rogan in many ways and as the book progresses we see this man, that was so broken, become the man he’s meant to be and one that can love Harper in every way that she needs to be loved because he’s her other half….

“I like to believe that some people hold the beat of another human’s heart in theirs, and they spend their entire lives searching for the owner. People are put on this earth to love. You are one of those people, and Rogan is your other half. Without him, you’re not whole. Without you, he’s empty. You complete each other, and there is nothing wrong with basing your lives around the love you share.”

There’s so much to this book and this town and I for one will never get tired of visiting Port Snow and knowing Ms. Quinn she’s going to make the rest of the Knightly boys work hard for their forever love and while I might cry along the way, I’m positive I’m going to laugh too and I’m thrilled that I get to take that ride with all the residents of this beautiful town!

That Forever Girl, is the second book in Meghan Quinn’s series, Getting Lucky, set in the small town of Port Snow, Maine. I am so in love with this beautiful world and the entire Knightly family!

I’m a sucker for second chance romances and absolutely loved Harper and Rogan’s story. Yes, there is some major communication issues which led to their first relationship ending but what relationship has perfect communication?

As I read more books with flashbacks, I have become a lot pickier about them. I can say I absolutely loved the ones in this story. It takes us all the way back to when Harper and Rogan were just friends and all of the moments that led to their first kiss, their plans for the future, and ultimately the end of their relationship. Watching them come back together and have to overcome their past was what second chances are made of.

I quickly fell in love with the entire family in this first book and I can’t wait to watch the rest of the family get their happily ever afters. I’m, not so secretly, the most excited for Brig’s story! He’s so sappy and a true believer in love. I can’t wait to watch him get his happily ever after!

Author Meghan Quinn delivers a powerful and heartfelt story of a second chance romance.
As soon as you begin reading this book, your heart will be filled with that first love vibes of high school sweethearts who just make your heart soar.
I want to live in this quaint little town they lived in.
The way Author Meghan Quinn describes this town makes you feel like you are witnessing a Hallmark movie come to life as you turn each page.
Rogan had my heart instantly just like Harper. He is a broken soul with a HUGE romantic heart bottled up inside even though over shocking turn of events, he thinks will forever be alone because he is not worthy.
Harper is a strong woman who comes back to her hometown looking to see if she can find herself again and when she sees Rogan, she knows that there is a reason why she came back.
Add some good old fashion mystery into the town gossip of romantic affairs which will keep you guessing till the end on who owns the Manor.
I enjoyed that this book is told in dual points of view and goes back & forth from present and past.
Soo much love and depth into the characters development from their childhood to adults is what made this book one that I truly enjoyed reading.

LOVE Rogan. I am a sucker for a bitter, broken hero.
We knew he was this way in That Second Chance, but we get the whole story here and see an alternative side to him.
And the thing that I LOVE about MQ Stories is that they are never what they seem. She always has such little details that you don't see coming. Her characters have depth and personality. The banter is spot on and realistic. And the family group texts, I LIVE for that. So damn funny.
I don't usually gravitate towards small town romances, but this little land in Maine has drawn me right in and I want more.

I love the Knightlys and I freaking love Port Snow. Rogan and Harper have officially taken over as my favorite couple and it’ll be hard work for Brig and Reid to surpass them.

Rogan and Harper absolutely captured my heart from the very beginning. I loved that the story went back and forth between their past and the present. It was so sweet to watch them go from friends to lovers, even if it did hurt to watch them break. Childhood best friends to lovers and second chance romances are my definite favorite tropes, so this book hit everything for me.

Seeing how much Rogan had adjusted and matured and seeing him allow himself to open up and be playful was everything after seeing him as this strong, serious, silent type before. Harper’s time away is a bit of a mystery for a large chunk of the book and I love how she handles telling Rogan and how Rogan handled the information. You see him grow right in that moment as well and you know that he’s definitely ready to be the man he needs to be for Harper.

This story was sweet and beautiful and I couldn’t put it down from beginning to end.

Meghan Quinn has made me fall in love with yet another hero with this book. I loved this story, but especially the depth of the characters and how they interacted with one another. Dialogue was strong and organic.

Can I have book 3 now?

That Forever Girl by Meghan Quinn is emotional and funny and everything in-between. Grab your tissues because you may need a couple for this one. Rogan once had the girl of his dreams, but that ended and he never expected to see her again. Harper is back though and his family wants to meddle.

I thoroughly enjoyed these characters and the way the story unfolded. You are given both past and present so that you see the whole picture. With an intriguing story, great plot, and characters you both root for and want to slap, I highly recommend this book to everyone. 4.5 stars and you need to one-click today!

I absolutely loved this book!!

Back in Port Snow, we are introduced to Rogan Knightly, second oldest brother in the Knightly family. Now that their oldest brother has found someone the rest of the Knightly brothers are wondering if their curse is broken.

Rogan is as gruff as ever, closed off from everyone. But Harper Sanders, his high school sweetheart and ex-fiance, is back in town. And the Knightly family is determined to meddle and push them together.

The way this story was told was fantastic, it unfurled through flashes of present and past. The heartache, oh the heartache, there were moments of sadness, devastation, forgiveness, love and most of all hope.

Let me just tell you I cried at the initials MFG.

You definitely want to one click this book now. You will not be disappointed.

Oh my God! All the feels! In this sequel to That Second Chance, Meghan Quinn gives us Rogan's story.

Harper and Rogan were high school sweethearts. In college, something happened that not only broke them up, but changed their lives forever. Now, years later, Harper is back in town. Can they get over the past and find each other again?

I loved this book! I think Rogan is a great character to read, and his history with Harper was intriguing. One click this today!

An accident in college turns best friends and high school sweethearts Harper and Rogan into enemies. The accident causes heartache and heart break. Each of them goes on a journey to self-actualization.

"Broken love can be mended, but it takes work, understanding, and appreciation for each other's journey." This, in a nutshell, is Harper and Rogan. The experiences they each have apart lead them back towards each other but getting there is a journey in itself. When their roads converge again, each finds home and discover what that actually is.

I have to say this was a first time reading one of Meghan Quinn's book and I absolutely loved it. It was a great book. Harper is a woman that is trying to figure out what she wants to do in her life. It shows her weaknesses and her strong points. Rogan is a man that is trying to get by and forgiving his past. It is hard to do when his long time lover is back in town to stay. He tries to ignore her and that doesn't work. This book shows their friendship and relationship ups and downs. And seeing that they finally work through it was amazing. Highly recommend reading this book. I couldn't put it down. It had me smiling and also sad. Love this book.

Rating: 3.5 Stars

I am so torn over this book! There are parts I really loved and some things that just didn’t work. To say I was invested in the story and in Harper and Rogan would be an understatement. I fell for Rogan and Harper the more I read and I was rooting for their reconciliation. It was bittersweet, hopeful and romantic. I loved their story, hands down. It was the secondary plotline that lowered my rating.

The way the book is written, we get glimpses of the past in snippets while we see Rogan and Harper reconnect after their very painful college break up in the present. We also get a secondary story of a mystery couple in the past that Rogan and Harper follow throughout their own story.
Normally this style of writing isn’t my favorite. I’m super impatient and hate when the mysterious past of a character(s) is dragged out alongside the vaguely represented present. Mainly because I tend to like one time line more than the other. But the author does an awesome job of giving you just enough to keep you interested without getting lost in the past. The story moves in an easy pace that made it painless to follow along.

I loved Rogan and Harper childhood, their early friendship that later turns into their first love. These two where great characters and I fell in love with their friends to lover’s story. Following them from grade school all the way to college was the best. Even the big reveal of what actually happened to them way back then pulled out my heartstrings.

Rogan definitely could have handled Harper’s return with a bit more grace (I was expecting Harper to really make him grovel over his initial antagonism!) but it was hard to stay mad when you find out Rogan’s side of the story and his way of keeping a piece of Harper with him always. It was seriously a romantic gesture that melted me and definitely redeemed his earlier behavior.

This book brought out all the emotions in me and I was charmed, wooed, angry and laughing out loud at times. I haven’t read this author before but I am definitely intrigued enough to hunt down her back list of work after reading this one.
