I absolutely love this book.

The story is very well done and I just couldn't put this book down.

If you are looking for a fantastic contemporary romance that will get you hooked into the story then I do suggest you read this. I do suggest that you read the first book first.

I give this 4 out of 5.

They started out as best friends as kids then became a couple when they got older. After an accident Rogan pushed Harper away breaking her heart. Now that she's back in town to stay they need to learn to live near each other again. Overall this book was good, my biggest problem was that at times I felt this book was kind of slow. The upside, literal laugh out loud moments, it got my emotions all over the place and my favorite part was it took some serious groveling to get back in Harpers good graces.

That Forever Girl was about two people who may have loved each other too much. So much that they couldn't help but hurt each other. So much that it drew out the most immature impulses they ever had. Was it fun to watch? You bet your ass it was!

Rogan and Harper were best friends since sixth grade. In their teens, they both couldn't understand what had changed but they wanted each other. They just didn't share it. There were awkward moments, insecurities and doubts, until one day and one kiss changed everything. They were in love and it was forever... until it wasn't. When tragedy befalls this couple, love isn't enough to erase bitterness and resentment and after ugly things are said, these two are separated by time and distance. Seven years later, they're both home and being in the same small town is difficult to say the least. Not only do they have to concentrate in order to avoid the other, his family and the entire town are meddling, trying to get these lovebirds back together. Their forever kind of love was obvious to everyone... just not to them.

"Honestly, I feel like our love story could easily be a Lovemark movie."
"Really?" Sally asks. "Do tell."
"It checks all the boxes. High school sweethearts, small-town romance with quirky side characters, a bit of a mystery, with a whole lot of heartache. Oh, and don't forget a classic second-chance romance. Maybe a little enemies to lovers snuck in there."

^^^^^^ That sums it up pretty nicely. The Knightly brothers are HILARIOUS!! They were the absolute highlight of this story. I couldn't get enough of their banter and group message texts. I'm telling you, Meghan Quinn really knows when and how to bring the humor. Rogan was extremely cold for so long, but with flashes to the past, the author made me not only understand where his iciness came from, but to sympathize with this character. Once I was able to see the big picture... SWOONS!! Loved me some Rogan. I'm a little surprised so little time was spent on him and Harper as a couple. There was a lot of history and a lot of present fighting and I especially enjoyed the little twist that explained A LOT, but I was hoping for more of them together as a unit. Ah well, I still loved this.

Holy feels!! This book has them all! Another hit from Meghan Quinn!!! I laughed, I cried and I rooted for these amazing characters to find their happily ever after!!

This book has just the perfect amount of angst, humor, and swoon! I have mad love for the Knightly brothers and Rogan was no exception, even though he could be a prickly, grumpy butt at times. The adorable little Maine town this book is set in is the perfect backdrop for a romance, like a Lifetime movie come to life (but more sex). Bring on the next Knightly brother!

To be honest, I think Rogan's story was the one I was least interested in....at first. In That Second Chance he was just ugh...hot? yes but acerbic, cranky...almost so disinterested in everything that beautiful town had to offer. But oh how that changed with this story. There is WAY more to Rogan than can ever be expected. Cocky and arrogant from his teenage years but as a young adult, we soon find out that there is a really serious, unexpected reason why he was that cranky guy in the first Getting Lucky book. We find out that the past, all the good and the bad, is what drives him to do everything he does. There are a few surprises (who is That Forever Girl) and a bit of a twist I never saw coming. Harper is the lynch pin in his life and without her...he just keeps moving forward but never going anywhere. Rogan is what Harper fears most in her life but what she needs most although she is definitely fighting tooth and nail to never go down that rabbit hole again. Despite the fact that his is the story i was least interested in, Meghan Quinn gave me exactly what I needed.

This is the second book that I have read from Meghan Quinn. I have several books of hers on my TBR but I haven’t reached them yet. This is book 2 in the Getting Lucky series and they are standalones so you won’t miss anything if you don’t read the first book. This was the story of Rogan and Harper who were high school sweethearts until disaster strikes and he breaks up with her. She returns to Port Snow years later and it forces him to reevaluate his feelings for her. Can they work it out and rekindle their love that never really died? This is a second chance mixed with enemies to lovers’ romance with a side of heartache. You will get it all in this book. The chemistry between Rogan and Harper, even though he tried to fight it, was great and you can feel it coming off the pages. I really enjoyed this book. If you pick this up, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to read more of this series and all her other work (TBR list, I’m looking at you)

Port Snow and the Knightly brothers- what a combo! After reading and loving the first book in the series, That Second Chance, I knew the Rogan's story would be heavier, but I really didn't realize just how heavy it would be. As I read the chapters from the past, I was heart-broken for Harper and how Rogan treated her. As the whole story is revealed, I found myself broken-hearted for Rogan as well- his journey was unimaginable. I loved the small-town history and mystery of the story and LOVED the holiday movie-making tie-in. Fans of small town romance, friends to lovers and second chance stories will enjoy That Forever Girl. Just be patient as Quinn tells us Rogan's story, it's definitely worth the read in the end.

Meghan Quinn heads back to Port Snow with the second installment in her Getting Lucky series. This time it is Rogan and Harper's second chance after years apart.

The story is told in dual POV with both flashbacks and chapters set in present time. I am not always a fan of second chance romances, but I felt it was well done here and having the flashbacks allowed me to understand the characters better.

I loved getting to catch up with the Knightly family. Meghan Quinn always has great characters with lots of humor and heart and that is definitely true of this series.

I am already looking forward to the next book!

I love me a good second chance romance and this is such a sweet read. It is swoony and sexy. The banter is brilliant. The backdrop made me want to be there as part of the story. Getting to see the relationship of the main characters in the past and present actually made me understand them a little better at times when I was really frustrated with them. I loved this story and am really enjoying this series. I am excited to see what Meghan has in store for us next.

All the angsty goodness that I’ve come to love and expect from Meghan Quinn, a fabulously emotional second-chance romance, set against the backdrop of the filming of a TV Christmas movie! This may be my favorite MQ story yet!

That Forever Girl is the second book in the Knightly brothers series but is a true standalone.

Seven years after Rogan broke Harper’s heart, she’s back in their small hometown, looking to start over again after an abusive relationship ends. She’s been rather lost ever since the accident that led to her and Rogan splitting up, never staying in one place for very long. Seeing Rogan again brings up all the feelings that haven’t truly died, and the cruel man she sees now is not the sweet boy who was the best friend she fell in love with.

Rogan is a man of secrets. He’s tried to build his life back up after an accident in college, but he regrets how He treated Harper. He never thought she’d be back in Port Snow, or discover that he’s been buying up properties she loved around town as a way to keep his memories of her alive in his heart.

When Lovemark TV (love it!) wants to film a Christmas movie in Port Snow, Harper lands a job as the local location scout. And as the owner of most of the elegant places around town, Rogan is the guy she has to work with.

It’s a sloooooow burn as these two reconnect and Harper begins to let her walls down and let him in. Once Rogan gets over himself and grows up, he sets out to prove that he’s changed since they broke up.

Sprinkled throughout the story are chapters of their last, leading up to the accident and breakup. And what a twist in Rohan’s injury! I didn’t expect that! And I loved the mystery of the manor, the old letters and trying to figure out who “my forever girl” is. What a fun addition!

This story was a wonderful treat in second chances, never forgetting your first love, and getting back the girl you are meant to spend forever with. I received an advanced copy via NetGalley and voluntarily left a review.

It felt like I waited for this book forever, when in reality it was just a small handful of months. The wait was well worth it. Now I am chomping at the bit for the next two books!

I tend to enjoy this author's writing. She is entertaining and engaging. Her characters jump out at you and grab your hand, taking you on their journey. This one is no different. I was all-in once I started this book.

There is nothing better than second chance romance and enemy to lovers romance all in one. I am a sucker for them, when written well. And this one is written extremely well. I giggled. I smiled. I frowned. I got a little mad. I went through the characters' emotions right along with them.

I am always curious if the author can keep the stories original in standalone series like this. Quinn doesn't disappoint with unique storylines for each of her characters. Bring on book three, please!

Could we just say, Book Hangover!!!! Such a cute storyline with heartbreak, loss, friendship and a love that wouldn't stop growing. I havent been able to get into another book since finishing this one. I'm just craving more and more of Rogan and Harper!

A second chance romance that will melt all the snow in Port Snow!

Young love...these are stories that make my heart flutter. But not only is this a story about young love it's also a story about second chances. I loved how we got to go back in time to when it all began and as the story goes one we find out how and why their relationship ended. Then the story weaves in and out to present day to see how they get back together. It is an excellent way to incorporate the past and the present. I loved how the author incorporated a romance movie channel into the story because this is exactly the type of story you would see on a channel like that. It was perfect! It is definitely a feel good love story with several laugh out loud moments and but also several swoony moments as well! This is a must read story for all romance lovers!

That Forever Girl by Meghan Quinn is a beautifully written second chance love story that held my attention from start to end.

Rogan and Harper touched my heart with their story, they made me smile, swoon and they broke my heart watching them struggle with their feelings.
These two totally belonged together after everything they went through I was very happy they got their second chance at love.

That Forever Girl is a wonderful addition to the The Getting Lucky series, each book can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend you read them all as you'll love watching the Knightly brothers find their forever girl <3

A sweet second chance romance and another great addition to this series. Second chances aren’t usually my favourite but this one was done really well and I love all of the side characters, they really make the story. Can’t wait for more of this series!

Rogan and Harper were friends as children which evolved into a love that they thought would last forever until that fateful night that left them both devastated and scrambling to pick up the pieces of their lives.

Seven years later Harper is back in Port Snow and all she wanted was to ignore him as much as possible but fate had other ideas. When she first returns Rogan is a man you will love to hate due to the way he treats her but as he realizes that ending their relationship was the biggest mistake of his life will she give him a second chance or is the pain of the past too much to overcome?

I really liked the evolution of Rogan as the book progressed and I liked Harper’s feisty personality that wasn’t about to back down from anything or anyone. It was not only fun watching Rogan try to make amends for the past but to catch up with the characters that we know and love.

That Forever Girl is the second book in Meghan Quinn's Getting Lucky series and it gave me ALL THE FEELS.

We met the handsome, brooding Rogan in the first book of the series. At the beginning of this book we figure out one of the major reasons Rogan is so broody: Harper Sanders. Harper was Rogan's first (and only) love. When a tragic accident ended Rogan's football career he pushed Harper, his then fiancee, away and never looked back...until she moved back to Port Snow.

Harper Sanders left Port Snow and never returned after Rogan broke her heart. She dropped out of college and moved up and down the east coast as a tour guide while trying to find herself. After ending a bad relationship Harper returns to Port Snow to try to put her life back together. She never expects to be civil with Rogan, let alone start a relationship again.

Harper and Rogan have quite the history. This book alternates between Harper and Rogan's points of view and also shows us glimpses into the past and how they went from best friends to boyfriend/girlfriend. This book was wonderfully written and is honestly one of Meghan Quinn's best. I cannot recommend it enough.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Pick it up on August 27!

With her not-so-triumphant return to her hometown of Port Snow, Maine, Harper Sanders has one very specific goal; avoid the man who ripped her heart to shreds, at all costs. Oh, and figure out how to rebuild the life she left behind all those years ago...

Rogan Knightly once threw away the best thing that ever happened to him, and he has regretted it ever since. So when he hears the news that his ex is back to stay, Rogan realizes that seeing Harper around town is too much for him to handle, and decides to act like the biggest jerk in existence...

But, if Rogan and Harper's families, and the residents of Port Snow have anything to say about it, avoiding each other and refusing to get along is not going to be so easy... that is, once their first class meddling starts...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That Forever Girl was a delightful, second chance romance set in the picturesque town of Port Snow, Maine, where the Knightly family may rule supreme, except for that pesky little curse that follows them everywhere they go. Rogan and Harper once loved each other more than anything, but with a painful breakup and years spent apart, when these two childhood sweethearts go head to head, sparks are going to fly...
When they were young, Harper was entirely devoted to all things Rogan Knightly. From his blossoming football career, to his enviable family, she was all in from the very beginning. And with a spectacular break up that tore her to shreds, Harper was left without a sense of purpose, or even a sense of home to return to. But now she's back, and determined to claim her little piece of Port Snow, once and for all.
Rogan isn't the same man he was when he broke Harper's heart, but no matter how good his intentions are, he just can't seem to adjust to life with Harper back in it. Until some excellent brotherly advice has Rogan coming up with a new plan... all he has to do is convince Harper to give him the time of day...
From the hilarious Knightly family, who provide so many laugh out loud moments. To the all consuming, sweet and downright steamy memories of Harper and Rogan's relationship past, and the eventual rebuilding of what has always been meant-to-be, this story was a sensational read!
Harper and Rogan's past mistakes are still affecting them and their ability to move on... and providing a lot of fabulous friction in the process!! Filled with emotion, laughter and loads of sexual tension, I dare you to not fall in love with Harper and Rogan!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Welcome back to Port Snow, ME and back into the lives of the Knightly family. I have been waiting for Rogan’s story since the end of That Second Chance and this did not disappoint. This story was beautifully written, full of laughs, emotions and a most of all a beautiful second chance.
This story was seriously fantastic from the very first word. I loved that it went between dual POV, but also form past to present. I loved that we got to see the start of Harper and Rogan’s relationship to their demise to where we are now and the future throughout this entire story. It was beautiful, emotional, and full of love. Their chemistry and their love for one another is perfection and despite how things ended it was always still there beneath the surface.
I wasn’t expecting Harper and Rogan’s story to be so emotional or to affect me so much, but the deeper we got and the more we learned of the past it was slowly breaking my heart. I felt my heart shatter along with Harper’s.
I didn’t think it was possible to love this family anymore, but I do. The Knightly family is hilarious and the interactions between all the siblings is hilarious and you can feel the love between them all. If I could become a member of this family I would.
I love this town, this family and everything about this series. I can’t wait for more of these brothers and their crazy curse! That Forever Girl is a MUST READ!
