That Forever Girl is a second chance romance about forgiveness and pursuing your dreams! Rogan Knightly has only ever loved one woman, the one he pushed away. When she returns to their small town, you discover the reasons they separated through various flashbacks. This was definitely a book that will tug at your heart strings. I loved that there was more than one story being told, as well as a mystery throughout.

My Forever Girl is the second book taking place in Port Snow! It can be read as a stand-alone, but I totally recommend reading That Second Chance first.

Rogan & Harper. What a great emotional story!

They were best friends in 6th grade, turning into a couple after a few years. Until something drove them apart. 7 years later Harper comes back to Port Snow.

Can they overcome everything that happened to these two, and become a couple again? I loved all the flashbacks in the book, so you slowly got to know what happened. It hurt. It hurt a lot in between, and like every book from Meghan, I was full out crying in between, than smiling and laughing. She just knows how to write stories which keeps you on the edge. You think you know what’s going to happen, but you really don’t.

Meghan Quinn is an absolutely amazing author. Hands down. One of the best I’ve ever read!

I kindly received an arc for an honest review
Any possibility to give more than 5 stars?!?!?!

Another amazing read by Meghan.
I know when I pick up one of her stories I will not be bored, I will swoon, I will probably cry and definitely laugh out loud.
Rogan knocked me on my butt. He was a jerk sure at times, but when he was the guy you knew he could be he was amazing. You learn to love and understand his character.
Harper was cute and driven. She'd never really found her niche in life and comes back to her beginning to maybe finally figure it out.
This book goes past to present and usually I get a bit annoyed or thrown off by it, but Meghan did a really good job of switching back and forth and making you understand why it was important to flash back.

I cannot wait for the next brothers story.

If you are looking for an amazing second chance romance filled with heart and meddling family then That Forever Girl is the one for you. Rogan and Harper are it for each other. They are young love, best friends, soul mates. Rogan did the only thing he could do when tragedy struck him and he pushed Harper away. That kind of love never fades. Harper and Rogan have a lot of anger to work through. When Harper moves back home you can feel the sparks fly all over the place. Yes, it's more enemies to love vibe for a while but with their history and their love, you can't help but feel all the old sparks start to fly. They say there is a fine line between love and hate and Harper and Rogan prove that throughout this one. I was sucked in from the start and so in love with the Knightly family. I love Harper and how she holds her own when it comes to Rogan. This is such a beautiful read. You feel the healing love of Harper and Rogan in this one. The Getting Lucky series just keeps getting better and I can't wait for the next Knightly brother to fall.

5 Stars / 3 Steam Fans

I was so excited when Meghan Quinn announced that she was starting a new series of standalones based around a small tourist town. Then I read the first book about this family and the brothers that think they have a curse placed on their love lives. This book follows the second brother, Rogan and his childhood sweetheart Harper. Rogan and Harper were best friends turned sweethearts until something splits the two apart. You spend most of the book having their story unfold with flashbacks and present day interaction. I loved the sweetness of childhood friendship turned love, broken lovers trying to exist within the same town after a bad break up, and the depiction of small town folks bringing lovers back to each other. I was completely surprised by the emotional twists and turns that both characters take and I felt in the moment with them as they went through the journey. I look forward to reading about the other brothers in this family and returning to Port Snow for more emotional journeys.

5 star review of That Forever Girl (Getting Lucky #2) by Meghan Quinn
I love second chance at love stories, add in that it is set in a charming little town whose name I love, Port Snow, Maine and I am all set. What a great read this one was; I was captivated from the first chapter to the last and couldn’t put this book down.
Harper Sanders is the woman who left town leaving Rogan Knightly behind, but now she’s back. Feelings will be re awakened, but the biggest question of all is whether Harper and Rogan can forgive the past and the pain it caused?
Weaving both present day and the past together Meghan Quinn has given us the full story of young love and how it can become a forever love when fate gives you another chance. This was an emotional read at times and really tugged at my heartstrings, sad and yet beautiful, a story of love and hope.
The chemistry between Rogan and Harper was scorching and intense. I loved the camaraderie between Rogan and his family and the mystery that is woven throughout this book. Of course it wouldn’t be a Meghan Quinn novel without humour and laughter and this just added to the overall enjoyment of the book.
Rogan was such a charismatic hero that I couldn't help but fall for him. I loved how feisty and sassy Harper is; in fact I just loved everything about the characters and the story.
That Forever Girl ticked all the boxes for me, it is a story of love, hope, forgiveness and was at times a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I cannot wait for the next release in the series.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher via NetGalley.

Simply stunning. I haven’t read a book with so much feeling in a while. I felt it all between Harper and Rogan..the love, the pain, the hope. I really connected with Harper and her struggles. It takes a lot for me to shed a tear while reading a book, but my heart absolutely broke for Harper. And I definitely shed more than a few tears. Her pain was a tangible thing and the way Rogan treated her when she first came back to Port Snow tore me up. As their story unfolded, it all became understandable, but the angst was real. Their love was real too and that really shone through everything else. This is a dream of a second chance story. It was so beautiful and I was rooting for them from the beginning, even it at times that I didn’t want to, at times when Rogan definitely didn’t deserve it. I can’t say enough good things about this story. If it doesn’t touch your heart, I’m not sure you have one.

*4.5 stars*
Meghan Quinn brings us back to Port Snow, Maine for her second book in her series on the Knightly Brothers. I loved book one, so I was eager to get my hands on this one and it did not disappoint. While this is still a standalone, you really should read the first book to get everything in more detail. This book focuses on Rogan. The banter between the brothers was top notch as always! The family members and the town were back to their usual meddling!

This is a dual point of view, second chance trope with chapters in both past and present. Rogan and Harper were high school sweethearts, engaged, when he broke off their relationship. There is a little bit of a mystery to why this is, and that all comes out in the past chapters. I will say the reveal was definitely unexpected! Harper moves back to Port Snow, and so there’s an unknown reason as to why Harper is all of a sudden back in town. These two were incredible together, and I really loved their past the most. I do wish there were more chapters with them back together in the end. But, I’m hoping we’ll see a lot more of them in Brig’s and Reid’s book. So looking forward to the next books in this series!

Meghan Quinn is one of my go-to authors and this book has 3 of my favorite tropes - small-town romance, friends to lovers and second chance romance!!

Harper has returned to Port Snow after 7 years of being away.   Prior to leaving her and Rogan were planning a life together - the whole nine yards - best friends in elementary school, high school sweethearts, college sweethearts and then BAM...it's over.  Rogan ends it. (You need to read to find out exactly why and it's a vital part of the story so I can't tell you why!)...

She's returned and doesn't get the reception from Rogan as she would have liked.  Rogan is kind of a douche...he's well..mean to Harper, but secretly he still loves her, he regrets the last 7 years. But he hasn't totally forgotten the love he shared with her and as this story unfolds, you see the layers of love and dedication he's spent to remember that love.

After a bit of back and forth, they start to peel away at the layers and it's beautiful to watch.  This book could TOTALLY be a Hallmark movie.  The small-town romance is reignited after years of separation.  We have swoony moments, walks in the snow in a small ocean town in Maine, sweet stolen kisses, some laughs and of a bit of mystery thrown in <-- See a hallmark movie!

Rogan is swoony and Harper is so strong and I just loved the heck out of it all!   And seeing these Knightly brothers again is always so much fun.

That Forever Girl takes us on a journey from heartbreaking to heartwarming moments with some humor tucked in. All of that combined with fantastic writing and characters you be rooting for to finally find their second chance at their once in a lifetime love makes for a perfect romance story.

Rogan and Harper have a love between them that will never end. It may have been broken, but even if they didn’t believe it, it was not past repair. They each made mistakes and have regrets but even years and miles apart couldn’t keep from finding each other again and now they have a chance at a new beginning to their story.

I am loving this quaint town of Port Snow Maine and these crazy Knightly brothers! I highly recommend that you check out this series because you will not be disappointed. This is book two and it can be read as a standalone.

I’m going to have to call it quits with this one. I was so ready for Rogan’s story after it was hinted at during That Second Chance. I was so excited for a second chance romance with this town as an adorable background. However, I didn't get ANY of that here. I was fed up with two things, the flashbacks and the main characters.

The flashbacks seriously made me feel like we were reading two stories in one. I would have been fine with just a short summary of why they broke up. Maybe this was supposed to provide more angst and make us think that they were meant to be. I don't know but it really didn't work for me.

As far as the characters go, I really tried okay! I tried to give these two characters the benefit of the doubt and like them. They were, however, some of the most annoying characters I had the chance to read about. I’m not talking about their characters during the flashback. Nope, I’m talking about them as freaking grown adults. They bickered and honestly went out of their way to make the other miserable.

"If we’re going to live here, I’m going to make sure he regrets ever making me love him."

I’m sorry what? There is no way that I can sit and read the rest of this. After all of this, he decides that he’s going to try and win her back. NOPE. I’ll seriously just wait for another Knightly brother to find love. This one is not for me.

Ok I have to say that this is one of my favorite books by Meghan Quinn! I love her style so much! What a sweet, sexy, funny and heartwarming story. I laughed, I swooned, I cried! But in the end it left me with a big satisfied smile on my face, and that is why I read. Rogan and Harper are adorable! I honestly love everything about this story even the difficult things because that is what makes Rogan and Harper who they are now and I love both of their characters so much! I love the way the story goes back and forth to the younger Harper and Rogan and back to present day because it gives us so much revealing information about their characters and behavior. After the first book in this series I knew I would adore Rogan & Harper’s amazing second chance love story too. This is such an awesome series! I love this family and their group texts are hysterical!! I can’t wait for more Knightlys’ and breaking of “the curse”!!!

I was lucky to get an ARC of this book from the publisher via Netgalley!

First off, I love this cover. Totally caught my eye. LOVE.

There's like an extra layer of emotion in a second chance romance. So far this series has been heart tugging in both books, but with Rogan and Harper, we watch them struggle past the years of heartbreak. It was so hard to read at first, and man, Rogan is a grumpy butt. I cried a few times, for both of them.

I love how big his family loves, as well. They meddle and push, but they are close-knit. I liked the back and forth from past to present, and both points of view. We needed it for the full picture. I'm not sure which brother I'm hoping to read about next, but I do know I'll be reading them both!

That Forever Girl has ALL THE FEELS!!!! OMG, I seriously loved everything about it.

I didn't think any of the Knightly brother's could top Griffin but Rogan sure did put up a fight with my heart! I could not wait to get his story. We were teased with very little about his life in That Second Chance but enough that I was fully on board and needed to know more!

I love Harper and Rogan's love story. It's a second chance, enemies to lovers, comedy, drama.....I mean, it has it all. I love the way the story is told going back and forth to their younger days to now. It added to the burning questions going through my mind as to what happened with them. Why did such an amazing couple, who had their whole future together, end? I had a feeling but Meghan through a little curveball at me I didn't see coming. My poor Rogan. Some of his action were questionable and I wanted to smack him several times but I gave him a pass once I got his full story. It broke my heart.

I also loved Harper. She is my kind of girl. I love her take no crap attitude. She gives Rogan a run for his money and doesn't let him walk all over her. They are perfect for one another as long as they can let go of the past but can they?!

I seriously can not wait for more from these characters!! Their banter and antics towards one another is hilarious!! I want to talk about so many of them but can't. Spoilers suck!

Just get this book and love it like I did. Meghan did not disappoint with Rogan's story. It is awesome!!

4.5 Stars!

Meghan Quinn is one of my auto-buy authors. I pick up her books because I am a big fan of the humor in them, but every once in a while she sneaks in a story that's more emotional than humorous. That Forever Girl was one of those books.

That Forever Girl is a second chance romance that has an enemies to lovers vibe. Rogan and Harper were childhood friends turned high school sweethearts. They were even engaged at one point until Rogan tore them apart. After they split up, Rogan returned to Port Snow while Harper toured the East Coast. Now Harper's back in Port Snow and invading the quiet life Rogan made for himself. All he wants is for her to leave...or is it?

I have to admit this book started off a little weird for me. Rogan's emotional state kind of drug me down. He had so much anger and hate inside of him. It was hard not to feel those emotions right with him. (Bravo to Meghan Quinn for emoting through her writing, though!) I couldn't decide if I even liked Rogan and wanted him to win Harper back. It wasn't until about half way through that I found some of that humor I was looking for to help pick up the feel of the story. It also helped once the past started to be divulged and I could understand Rogan's state of mind.

The past was a cool aspect of this book. I am not always a big fan of flashbacks in books. Usually it takes too long for them to go anywhere or the scenes they give me detract from what's going on in the present. The flashback chapters in That Forever Girl were good ones. They quickly showed how Rogan and Harper fell in love and then the demise of their relationship. The flashback chapters were actually pretty adorable for the most part. They also did a great job of helping move the story in the present forward.

As for Rogan and Harper's second chance at love... It wasn't a smooth journey. It was filled with ups and downs. I liked that because it mirrored a real second chance romance. It also gave them a lot of time to work through their problems. Once they did, I got the adorable romance I was expecting from Meghan Quinn. I loved the person Harper's love made Rogan.

This wouldn't be a Meghan Quinn novel if there weren't some amazing side characters, too. They definitely showed up in this book. Once again, the Knightly brothers were the stars of the show. They had a group text that made me laugh. I also loved the advice they gave. It made me excited to find out which brother is getting the next book. I think I saw a couple of love interests for the last two brothers, and I can't wait to find out how it all goes down!

I'm surprised to say this, but That Forever Girl is now my favorite book in this series. It is also going on my list of favorite Meghan Quinn books. She really impressed me with this book and all of the emotions she made me feel. I ended up truly loving Rogan and Harper's romance.

More of a 2.5 stars story.
I loved book one in the series, and was looking forward to this one. Sadly, this second chance story did not meet my expectations.
While in book one we get a detailed description of “the curse” and how it affects the brothers, this one skims through “the curse” which might leave a new reader wondering about it.
For me, the story might have had a better flow if we weren’t going back and forth in time with the characters (HS, college etc). I found myself skipping pages just to get to the gist of the story. 50% into the book, I was still not engaged in the plot and though I considered not finishing it, I respect the efforts authors put into writing.
The dialogue at times was immature as was were the brothers.
Will I read book 3 in the series? Not sure, only time will tell.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
