I really enjoyed this book. I used to love reading fable stories when I was younger and enjoyed reading these stories to my 3year old. She loved the stories and the illustrations. I liked the fact that the little quotes after the each story weren't all biblical as well

I just reviewed Frog’s Rainy-Day Story and Other Fables by Michael James Dowling.

This is a delightful book to read: aimed for children, but not outdated for adults. There's always something to ponder upon, wisdom to recall, plentiful in this work. Through simple fables, we saw everyday life stories: pride that leads to stupidity, vanity that leads to downfall, the importance of teamwork, and many more. Even though listed as christian book, the author also shared non-christian quotes more familiar to some. And not the least, this book is beautifully drawn by author's award-winning illustrator.
