Oh my, what a sweet, emotional and sexy friends to lovers, pen pals to more, with a little heartache added to the mix. We follow two 7 year old children, a boy, Griffin, from England, and a girl, Luca, from America, who via a pen pal exchange with their schools have a 10 year letter exchange, telling each other their most intimate secrets. This ends suddenly when Luca is involved in a life changing incident. 8 years letter following a drunken letter rant from Griff, it starts up again, and they form another undeniable bond. The question is, can they put the past behind them and live in the here and now. Beautiful words that flow seamlessly from two authors born to write in tandem. A wonderful story that pulls at your heart strings, leaving you unable to to focus on anything else but their written word. With characters, including a pig called Hortencia, that you just have to love. I’ll never look at McDonald’s toys the same again. I was laughing, I was crying, I was praying for a happy ever after. I loved it. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
Side note - They get THE best models for their covers!

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's collaborations are always enjoyable, but I have mixed feelings about this book. Luca is a writer. Griffin is a rock star. They were lifelong pen pals that reconnected. What's keeping them apart is Luca's agoraphobia. The tone of this story started off lighter but eventually grew somber—dramedy? The tale had elements of quirkiness: Doc, Luca's bird-loving therapist; and Hortencia, Luca's pig. It had a lot of philosophical musings and the sex was more explicit than I anticipated. There was also an abundance of gimmicks/hooks: the letters, ABBA, Chandler Bing, birds, Izzy's tattoo, song lyrics, dated material, Furbys, etc. Again, I did enjoy the tale but would venture to say that I found it to be a more subdued offering from this duo.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward for an ARC of "Dirty Letters' in exchange for an honest review.

Loved, loved , loved!! Great story. There were ups and downs, steaminess, relationship building and overall it was a great story. I loved the whole pen pal story, I think that gives it s unique spin. I love how this also has a second chance element to it. Luca and Griff build their friendship/relationship back up after 8 years and without any spoilers it was an amazing book. I loved everything about it - plot, characters, writing style, steaminess level!!! Definitely recommend!!

Dirty Letters had it all, it was steamy, dramatic, emotional... a total win for me.
This writing duo is so effing fantastic. It’s impossible for them to write a bad book.
The storyline for it just really stole my heart.
Pen pals from age 7 - 17/18 but stopped due to life for 8 years...reconnected through letters.
Luca and Griffin both have secrets but trust in their childhood friendship.
Their story is going down as one of my all time favorites.
I can’t say anything else..please just give this one a read.
You wrote regret it.

This is Luca and Griffin book, Luca and griffin were childhood pen pals. Griffin is The British boy who couldn’t have been more different than Luca! They became best friends through years and years of sharing their deepest darkest secrets and forming a connection that couldn’t be broken! Until one day Luca stopped writing! Clear out of the blue just up and stopped writing! Now eight years later and a lot of pent up anger she receives a letter from Griffin and realize that she finally has to come clean of why she stopped writing. Griffin finally forgives her and somehow they were able to rekindle their childhood connection via long-distance and penpals again! But Griffin does not want Luca to see him because he has some secrets of his own! After a hilarious RV trip with Lucas cooky psychiatrist and her lovely pet pig she takes a surprise visit to finally meet Griffin! This book was really awesome! It had all and I mean all the feels!! I highly recommend reading this one although at the end definitely have a box of Kleenex I was bawling my eyes out LOL definitely don’t miss out on this one it’s well worth the read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
