What a lovely Christmas read. I really enjoyed this. So many things going on at once all told from different perspectives made it a very interesting read. I Ioved all the characters and the snowy setting of Aspen adds to the Christmas magic..

A Wedding in December is a wonderful read, full of love humour and some angst which adds much depth to this story. The characters are well rounded and likeable.
Rosie is getting married in Aspen after a whirlwind romance. Unknowingly to her and her elder sister Katie her parents have separated and are planning to divorce, because they haven’t yet told their daughters they decide to attend as as a couple and inform them both after the marriage. Katie a doctor in an emergency department has been through a traumatic time and is not coping psychologically, she is determined to put a stop or at least postpone the wedding as she feels Rosie is too young and rushing into things.
Add a lovely groom, his hot best friend, a beautiful setting, Christmas festivities and you have a cracking read.
I would of liked a small epilogue just to see a little into their futures, but probably because I didn’t want the book to end.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

Absolutely loved this book. The characterisation was so good and I loved there were moments that I laughed out loud... the airport! It’s a great festive read and it’s one I’m thinking of gifting to friends for next Christmas :)

The White family are all keeping secrets from each other, but only to ensure they don’t worry each other. When Rosie, Maggie’s youngest daughter, announces she’s getting married to her boyfriend of only a few months, Dan, it causes a huge surprise and some shock waves that create more surprises. Not only is Rosie getting married, she’s getting married that Christmas, at Snowfall Lodge, a beautiful hotel in the mountains just outside of Aspen.

The White’s usually congregate at the family home each Christmas - Honeysuckle Cottage - so a few changes have to reluctantly take place. Rosie’s older sister Katie is adamant she’s going to go to Aspen to stop the wedding and change her sister’s mind, as she can’t believe Rosie can really know her husband to be so soon. Will spending time with each other in a snowy winter wonderland bring hidden secrets out into the open and what will the family make of Dan. Will there even be a Christmas wedding or will Rosie change her mind before the big day.

I’ve read a few other Sarah Morgan books and really enjoyed them. So i couldn’t wait to get lost in the pages of this one set during winter.
It felt like it was missing a little something that other Sarah Morgan books had. I can’t pin point what exactly, it just felt like it was without some heart or the usual warmth I’ve found in her past books.
It may just be me, as I’ve not had much luck with my Christmas books so far this winter. If you’ve ever read any Sarah Morgan books and enjoyed them, I wouldn’t say avoid, on the off chance it’s just me. If you’ve never read any of her books before, I wouldn’t recommend this to be the first book or hers that you pick up. She has written far better (well, in my humble opinion) books and if this was my first foray into her writing, I wouldn’t be rushing back to read anything else.

I wish I could write something more positive, so I’ll end on the locations. The descriptions of Colorado and Aspen were wonderful. They sounded like something you’d see inside a winter snow globe and the perfect place for a white Christmas in the mountains.

A Wedding in December is not one of her greatest but it’s still a good read and I would still recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good romantic and Christmassy book.

With thanks to NetGalley and HQ for the opportunity to read this ARC, in return for an honest and unbiased review.

Rosie is getting married Christmas Eve, after mere weeks of knowing Dan, much to the surprise of her family. Katie is determined it's not going to happen, Maggie (Mum) concerned as so soon and also going through their own personal troubles, which they don't want to worry Rosie/the girls with.

'A wedding in December' is not an easy ride for any of the family. Doubts raised due to comments made, miscommunication and family secrets, raises the question will it go ahead?

This book will make you smile, laugh, sad; overall a great read just in time for Christmas. A sequel would be good, would be nice to see how things work out for them. It would also make a great Christmas movie. Really enjoyed it.

A lovely Christmas story, perfect for the festive period.
The story was a little more complex than expected which made this a great read. The characters were all well fleshed out and interacted with each other perfectly.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a light and easy holiday read.

Maggie White was learning to live alone at Honeysuckle Cottage, after splitting up with her husband Nick six months earlier. They had two daughters Katie, a doctor in A&E and Rosie who was abroad studying at Harvard.

One night she received a 3 am call from Rosie telling her she was marrying her boyfriend Dan after a whirl wind romance. Shocked Maggie found out that the wedding would be in four weeks time in Aspen, Colorado. The only problem was Maggie had not told her daughters that Dan had moved out and they were about to divorce. Not wanting to reveal the truth before the wedding, Maggie and Nick decided to pretend they were still happily married whilst in Aspen.

Meanwhile Katie was suffering from depression after an incident at work. After years of hard work she had become jaded and was questioning her career as a doctor. When Katie heard that Rosie was due to marry, she thought Rosie was making a mistake and would regret it later. Katie decided she would try to stop the wedding.

In Aspen, Dan`s mum Catherine was making all the arrangements for the wedding. Including virtually choosing Rosie`s dress for her. Rosie did have doubts about marrying so soon, however she knew her own parents had married young and were still together!!!!I

Things do not go well for the White`s in Aspen. Maggie got drunk on the flight to calm her nerves. Once off the flight Maggie drunkenly pretended to be lovey dovey with Nick. Katie interrogated Jordan, Dan`s best friend on the way to the hotel. Catherine organised some romantic trips for Maggie and Nick to enjoy.

I enjoyed the descriptions of Aspen and wished I was there. I could picture the snow and just imagine the mountain lion prowling around.

The book was told from the POVs of Maggie, Katie and Rosie. I liked Maggie and I enjoyed her tipsy entrance at the airport. I was upset that Maggie lacked self confidence when Nick obviously still cared for her.

Katie was hard to like but she only had Rosie`s interests at heart. The story behind Katie`s attack was so sad, not just for Katie but the victims relatives.

Catherine was a force to be reckoned with and I would of liked her POV about Rosie and the rest of the family.

I enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. After reading The Christmas Sisters in 2018, Sarah Morgan will become eponymous with Christmas for me in the future. I highly recommend her books.

A great Christmas read. Believable, likeable characters, a good amount of romance but some funny moments too like Mum getting drunk on the plane from England to America.

I am not always keen on American authors, but I have read several books by this author and enjoyed them all, I will continue to look out for others for when I am in a lighthearted read mood.

If you are on the brink.of a divorce and your headstrong daughter springs a surprise engagement to be shortly followed by a Christmas wedding at the fairytale winter playground of the rich -?what do you do? Well in this case the parents don’t want their daughters to know especially Rosie the bride and to a lesser extent Katie the hard working doctor daughter so they pretend that everything is great between them. The antics of the couple, the determination of the older sister to stop the wedding as well as the bride’s last minute worries add to the mix that brings a great novel to life

Another gem from Sarah Morgan, who’s writing never fails to disappoint. Take two daughters and their mother, surrounded by relationships.
There’s mistrust, divorce, rushing into things and an overwhelming desire for a happy ever after... will they all find what they’re looking for? The story is warm and absorbing - a Sarah Morgan trait - and the setting is stunningly described. I didn’t want this book to end...

Such an enchanting little love story, the narrative and dialogue of a tale of four women finding self-love. The widow, the separated housewife, the Doctor and the impetuous baby sister.

The whole thing is sprinkled with the nostalgia of their White family cottage in Oxford which the reader knows is so perfect and isn’t hating that whatsoever, whilst they all experience the magic of the snowy mountains in Colorado, with a horse drawn sleigh, spectacular tree house cabins and wedding tulle.

I thoroughly enjoyed this meander through their seminal life changing moments with the backdrop of my own Christmas tree, twinkling lights and roaring log fire.

A lovely feel good Christmas novel. As always with Sarah Morgan's books you know you will have an entertaining read with a lovely ending. Beautiful location set in Aspen - this makes me want to go there for a holiday. A story of family, misunderstandings, relationships and plenty of romance.

Perfect for a cosy winter afternoon on the sofa with a hot cuppa and some chocolate. I really enjoyed this book.

What a DELIGHT. I absolutely adored this feel good festive read.

While initially I didn't particularly care for any of the characters, I was enveloped in a magical romance story and before I realised it, I had devoured the lot! Some elements were partly predictable, but I still found myself rooting for it to happen and eager for a happy ending!

Full of drama, feel good fun and a total MUST READ for December.

A Christmas wedding is so romantic, but Rosie's family are worried. Is Rosie rushing into a relationship impulsively as usual? Katie, the older sister believes so, and heads to Colorado to stop the wedding. Her own life is complicated, and maybe she is too conflicted to examine her motives too closely? Maggie's girls' are her life, she wants them to be happy, but can she conquer her fears to be at her daughter's side? Marriage is a touchy subject for her and Nick, their father, but only Rosie's happiness matters now.

This is a festive, family drama, played out against the snowy wonderland of Aspen, Colorado. Told from Maggie, Rosie and Katie's point of view. The secrets are exposed and the hurts laid bare in this emotional story full of angst, love and tears.

There are many conflicts both internal and external to be overcome by all the family's members, but the magic of Christmas, familial love and a touch of laughter and romance make anything possible in this lovely festive tale.

An enchanting festive story of family, laughter, love and secrets.

I received a copy of this book from HQ via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

A light, heartwarming story of family and love. The story starts when Rosie phones home to share the news with her parents and sister that she will be getting married to her very new partner that she met in America, the wedding will take place on Christmas Eve. Rosie's family have obvious concerns about the speed in which the occasion will take place but of course travel over to spend Christmas in the beautiful snowy mountains.
Set in a fabulous, magical setting this book really pulls you in and with lots of stories surrounding the main characters it makes a truly brilliant read. Always enjoy Sarah Morgan's books and this one was no exception.

Considering that I’m not a fan of Christmas or that chic lit isn’t my usual go to choice of genre I found this a pleasant and enjoyable read. I liked that the storyline had a bit of meatiness to it and it wasn’t just your stereotypical wishy washy chic lit book. I liked how humour was incorporated in the story too. A recommendation from me if you’re looking for a girly Christmas read.

I absolutely adored this book from start to finish. This book is about a family travelling to somewhere that snows a lot for Rosie's wedding. What I loved was that this story was about so much more than that. Rosie's sister is a doctor who is sceptical about love and arrives with the intention of helping Rosie to see that the wedding is mistake whilst harbouring her own dark secret. Rosie's parents have entered a fake relationship as both their daughters do not know that they are separated. What I enjoyed the most about this book was the family dynamic. Sarah managed to capture the true Christmas spirit of love, hope, forgiveness and joy.
