I found this to be an easy and enjoyable festive read.

The story is told from three different perspectives.

Rosie is the bride to be, who is impulsive and the baby of the family. She’s having a whirlwind wedding to Dan after knowing him for only a few short months. Will the wedding go ahead or will Rosie’s doubts put a stop to the whole thing?

Katie, the prickly older sister who is over protective, and is flying out to try to stop the wedding. She has a secret - something happened at work which she is hiding something from the rest of her family. Will she stop the wedding and will she share this secret?

And there is Maggie, Rosie's mother, she has a secret of her own - she’s living a lie to her daughters as she’s not so happily married after all. Will the truth about the impending divorce come out or will Maggie and Nick manage to reignite that spark?

Overall I enjoyed the story - Aspen is a really festive winter wonderland a perfect backdrop to a festive rom com read. I didn’t enjoy the American spellings of words as the main characters are English from Oxford I found this quite annoying but didn’t let it spoil the book.

The plot is not complicated and at times predictable but an enjoyable cosy read perfect for the dark cold winter evenings.

I was given an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Morgan really is the queen of the Christmas novel and a wedding in December is defiantly one of her best stories so far.
Maggie is looking forward to one last Christmas with her family in her beloved cottage before she announces to her grown up girls that she and husband nick are divorcing. Having been living apart for months neither can face telling the girls their secret.
Unfortunately daughter Katie has a surprise of her own, in a late night phone call she announces she has met the love of her life and they are having a Christmas wedding at the grooms aspen family owned holiday resort - a winter wonderland.
Determined not to ruin the wedding Maggie and nick decide to act as if everything is ok between them, and tell the girls after the wedding. Both parents dreading it.
Also dreading it is elder sister Katie who thinks her sister is rushing into things and is determined to stop the wedding at all costs. But Katie has secrets too- as a dr working in the emergency rooms, Katie was recently attacked by a patient and is burying all her feelings about it and not facing the toll its taken on her.
I loved this book and would really recommend it, its a Christmas cracker. A beautiful story set in a magical location.

This was better than I expected, and was actually an enjoyable read, with a more complex plot and interesting characters than some of Morgan’s other books. The American setting was very cosy and the perfect backdrop for a warm winter chick-lit read.

Lovely Christmas story for the festive period. Really feel good and warm!l and fuzzy. The characters were all well fleshed out and interacted with each other perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an easy, happy Christmas read.

A lighthearted christmassy read that I’m sure will delight many people. However, I found it all just a bit too sickly sweet and Dan and his mother were just too perfect.

This book was an absolute delight from start to finish. I expected several of the characters to clash and whilst some of them did, others unexpectedly got on very well and this was done in a very believable way. The story is set in a beautiful place that I wish was real so I could go visit. The ending hit all the right notes for me. This is a very satisfying and uplifting book.

A wonderful book which I really enjoyed! Perfect Christmas story, where I loved all the sub plots running through it. They added to the confusion / misunderstanding really well!!

Although I have not experienced this environment having never been skiing etc, Sarah Morgan painted the scene so well that I really felt I was there! And it sounded so perfect for the festive season - clear blue skies & crisp winter days then coming home to toasty log fires and hot chocolate! Bliss!

I would thoroughly recommend this book and thank Net Galley & the publishers for allowing me to review it (apologies that the review has taken a while, but I wanted to read it nearer to Christmas to get the full enjoyment out of it!).. Right, I'm off to start another Sarah Morgan Christmas story....... where's my hot chocolate?!

I can honestly say that one of the things I look forward to the most at Christmas is a new book by Sarah Morgan. They never fail to put me in the holiday spirit and this book is no exception. It's sweet, it's funny, it's a little bit emotional and a whole lot addictive. Yet again I read the whole thing in a couple of days and it would've been even faster if I didn't need to work.

The story centers on the White family [insert your own White Christmas joke here] and is told from the point of view of mother Maggie and her two daughters Katie and Rosie. I often struggle with multiple povs and I usually have a preference for one over the others but this time around I really enjoyed it. It's great to have a book with three women at very different stages of their lives and to see the dynamics of the relationship between them from each pov.

I really loved how this story brought together these very different women and it's great to see an older character given some representation. If I had to choose I probably related most to Katie but I liked all three of the women and felt invested in all of their stories.

Like Morgan's other recent books this story focuses more on family and friendships than romance, making it a very sweet read that's perfect for the season. I loved the relationships between mother and daughters and also between the sisters. I also loved how each of the characters develops over the course of the story, how by getting away from everyday life they discover who they are and who they want to be.

That's not to say there isn't any romance, it wouldn't be a Morgan book without a little bit of romance. Rosie is very much coupled up and Maggie is still getting over the end of a very long term relationship but sparks most definitely fly between Katie and best man Jordan and I think that was probably the highlight of the book for me. Aspen is just the perfect setting for romance and the author takes full advantage with a few of my favourite romance tropes thrown in.

As always Morgan's writing is wonderfully warm and the descriptions made me feel like I was there in that winter wonderland, maybe someday. As always it's packed full of emotion and as always I shed a couple of tears at certain points (Morgan's books get me every single time).

This may not be my favourite book from the author but if you're looking for a festive read to get you in the holiday spirit I highly recommend.

I was sent a copy of this book by Netgalley in return for an honest review.

I loved the look of the book, there was something magical about the cover, I chose a lot of books based on their covers and this one looked so lovely and Christmassy that I had to read it.

It took some time to get into but I really enjoyed it once I did. The story is about Rosie and her family, her sister Kate and their parents. Rosie is living in the US and Katie is a A&E doctor here in England. One night Katie receives a phone call from her sister telling her she is marrying her boyfriend of a few months this coming Christmas in the US. Katie who feels that it is all too quick decides she's going to stop the wedding.

Rosie parents and Katie travel to the US for the wedding, but things aren't all they seem, secrets are being kept by all members of the family and the story, however predictable is heart warming. Love blossoms between unexpected people, (though i guessed early on that it would!).

The story is well written, the description of the scenes, the snow, the trees and lodges just makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. The characters are all really likeable and from the outset I wanted it to end happily. It really is a lovely Christmas read, easy going, with a few revelations hidden within. If you want a book to curl up with in front of the fire this Christmas, let it be this one.

I gave it 4 stars out of 5 on Goodreads.

This book!! Just WOW! I was lucky enough to get a pb arc as well as the netgalley link, and oh my goodness it’s such a wonderful story!! All the characters were unique, but each will have you adoring them in no time!

The story flows wonderfully, and i loved seeing the different perspectives of situations, how each considered and worried about the others feelings. It’s honest, heartfelt and just such a wonderful family tale from start to very end!

What a fantastic setting!! Aspen is yet another place I've had to add to my list of places I need to visit. It had as much presence in the story as any of the main characters - add a tree house or two into the mix (and not just any old tree house, but a luxury one with underfloor heating!) and the setting was irresistible.

Then there was Joshua. Oh, my.... His and Katie's story was the main event for me, but the other main plot (the parents) also made for some good reading.

The book has some detailed sex scenes, so you might need to be aware of that if you're not too keen, but they are tastefully and romantically done.

A lively Christmas read, perfect for getting you in the festive spirit.

A Wedding in December was such a fun read, it was exactly what I needed to get into the Christmas spirit! I hadn't read any novels by Sarah Morgan previously but I had heard of her so my expectations were quite high. I'm pleased that the novel turned out to be a very entertaining romcom with plenty of secrets and drama.

The White family have just received the surprise bombshell that Rosie, the youngest daughter, is engaged to an American man she's only known for a few months, and the wedding is Christmas eve! Everyone is suddenly in a panic about flights and desperately trying to convince Rosie to not be so hasty. But we soon find out that the White family are not as contented as they seem, Rosie's parents are on the brink of divorce and Katie has secrets she's refusing to share.

Filled to the brim with drama, this was a very entertaining and engaging read. It was also a surprisingly quick read despite the 400+ pages! I enjoyed this novel from start to finish although it's not a genre I would usually choose.

One thing I adore in novels is multiple POVs, in A Wedding in December the chapters are split between Maggie, the mum and Rosie and Katie, her two daughters, perspectives. I enjoyed reading the events of the novel from each of the main characters perspectives but I enjoyed Katie's POV the most. I loved the bond she had with Rosie and how fiercely protective she was.

A fun, seasonal read packed full of hilarious and dramatic moments, if you're looking for a Christmas novel I would definitely recommend this one.

I know I’m going to enjoy a Sarah Morgan novel and A Wedding in December is no exception. I love the way she writes about life, bringing her characters fears and vulnerabilities to the surface (as well as the soul-stirring romance). The pages just turn on their own and before you know it, it’s the end of the story!

It’s easy to identify with all the characters and their vulnerabilities. The White family and the roles they have within that unit become clear from the beginning (as well as the impact it’s made on their life choices). Rosie’s upcoming wedding shakes the foundations allowing them to re-evaluate and re-align. Loved the banter between Katie and Jordan. :)

Aspen in the winter is the perfect setting for putting you in the mood for Christmas and romance but it also lends itself to harshness and isolation. The setting is used to great effect … heart-warming ‘together’ moments but also those heart-breaking moments. I had a few smiles (the airport made me laugh) alongside the tears.

I would love to see this story as a movie or a series. It would adapt so well to the screen!

A Wedding in December is one of my favourite romance reads this year and highly recommended.

Well done Sarah Morgan. You’ve excelled yourself again and written a beautiful story. Maggie and Nick were living separate lives but hadn’t quite found the moment to tell their daughters Katie and Rosie. Maggie was preparing for one last Christmas in Honeysuckle Cottage before the imminent divorce.
One day Maggie’s life of flipped into turmoil with the news that Rosie is marrying the love of her life Dan after a whirlwind romance. Katie is determined to stop the wedding as she leaves for Colorado. The story follows all of the wedding party in a will-they, won’t-they Wedding in December. Immerse yourself in the snowy covered resort and be transported to a magical time.

Another great read by Sarah Morgan. It has everything a good Christmas book needs - set in snowy Aspen, wedding preparations, love story, drama... I really enjoyed it and it got me into the mood for the Holidays!

A good Christmas book from Sarah. the story concerns a family who have always spent Christmas together at home but this year it all changes. A well written book you will not be able to put it down until you have got to the end end. True chic lit that makes a good start to the Christmas season.

Why isn't there a 6th star rating? This gorge Christmas Lit novel absolutely deserves it! I loved the clever way this author wove the characters together. Mum and dad Maggie and Nick are painfully believable and how they have drifted apart while raising their family really tugs at the heartstrings. I know so many girls like their youngest daughter Rosie, impulsive and already ready to see the good in people such traits worry everyone else though!). My favourite character though is her older sister Katie. This novel is very much about her too. No spoilers from me...will the wedding happen (or not?). This is a beautifully written novel which absolutely deserves to be read (again and again) curled up by the fire during the holiday season. The lush wintry landscapes take your breath away too. I really hope they'll be a follow up. LOVED IT!

Not a book that I would rush out to read. The story was a good one especially for the Christmas season. All characters had things going on in their own lives but all came together when needed too and there's always the guess of is there going to be a wedding or not. A light hearted lively read
