When I saw this book show up on NetGalley, I just had to request a copy to review. I have been a huge fan of Sarah Morgan and read many of her previous works already. I’ve never been disappointed with any of her works and this book was no exception.

This was a book of three stories all woven into one as they all involve the same family and how each one impacts the other. Each member of the family has their secrets and their agenda regarding the wedding.

I instantly connected with Rosie, so eager to please everyone that she stopped listening to herself and started listening to the doubts around her. Katie is struggling with PTSD following an incident at the hospital where she works and was injured, but won’t confide in her family. Maggie is struggling to deal with the fact her marriage is ending and doesn’t want to spoil the image both her daughters hold of their parents’ idyllic marriage, especially as Rosie is holding them up as an example of the perfect couple.

As the story unfolds, each woman has to confront the things they are trying so hard to keep hidden from the others, not knowing that they can all learn from and help each other. The story continues to keep you engaged as you wonder whether or not the wedding will go ahead and whether the White family will have their perfect family Christmas after all.

A beautiful setting, an engaging storyline and Christmas in Colorado.

It's only October but this book has really put me in the mood for Christmas.
Set in the snowy mountains of Colorado , the author sets the scene perfectly with treehouses, twinkly lights and the lovely cosy hotel called Snowfall Lodge.
Rosie meets Dan and in no time at all they fall in love and decide to have a Christmas wedding .All the family are invited. Rosie's parents Maggie and Nick attend whilst harbouring a major secret as does big Sister Katie.
There's love, laughter and tears. Pour a glass of something warming, grab yourself a mince pie and settle down by the fire or under the covers and I guarantee this book will soon have you feeling festive

This book was my start of half term treat to myself - a relaxing read (although some sad issues are covered).

The main characters, Maggie, Katie and Rosie are a mother and her daughters, getting ready for the wedding of Rosie in snowy Colorado. As a mum of two teenagers, I found myself relating to Maggie - how often is a mum will be known as 'mum of' or 'wife of'.

This book was a 'do not put me down' romantic story and I'm glad I had picked a quiet day to enjoy it.

So grab a blanket and a hot chocolate, ignore the bad weather outside and enjoy this festive romance.

I was so excited to be approved for this book after reading so many of Sarah Morgan’s Christmas/snow themed books.
This book features sisters Rosie and Katie, their parents and a sudden wedding announcements
Rosie is marrying boyfriend Dan in Colorado after a fleeting relationship, sister Katie is suffering in her profession as a doctor and their parents have a secret - they are getting divorced!
However whenever snow and Christmas are involved something truly magical happens and the family unites to get their happily ever after.
I loved this book, I was not disappointed - until I reached the end, I wanted more!! I really hope we see future tales of Rosie and Dan or Katie and Jordan! Please??

Light hearted, easy reading. Although the ending was a little predictable, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Fire on, warm and cosy on a dark, cold evening. Loved it

When you pick up a Sarah Morgan book you are guaranteed a great read!!!
A cosy read perfect for the Autumn/winter days,set around a winter wonderland wedding in such a picturesque location with warm characters who I immediately liked & as the story grew felt I knew every one of them. Loved that it was set in Aspen Colorado as I've spent time with my family out there so I got the whole visual of the story too. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I did struggle a little with this book, skipping over pages. It was a just a bit too much of a ‘love’ story for me, which surprised me. Sorry 😐

I loved this book! I'm ashamed to say it's the first one I've read of Sarah's but I'll certainly be making sure I read the others. Will they won't they, should they, shouldn't they? It's got it all and the characters are so believable. it was one of those classical dilemmas read it fast to find out how it ends but also slow it down as you don't want it to finish too soon!

Another great book written by Sarah Morgan. A lovely Christmas book set in the snowy location of Aspen. The description of the location made you feel like you were there.
The characters were so likeable and easy to relate to.

I loved this book. Loved it. I read it within 24 hours and I went through every single emotion that I possibly could. The characters are great and well written. They come to life on the page and you can’t help but feel like they are part of your circle. I wanted the book to last for so much longer, but it obviously had to come to an end. I love the descriptions of places and scenes. Sarah Morgan definitely takes you on a journey and I can’t wait for the next one!

Sarah Morgan always writes the most amazing, beautiful and romantic Christmas books and this one is no exception. I love how the characters all try to protect each other but it ends up going against them. The best thing is how they all end up stronger after conflict. This totally puts me in the mood for Christmas. Wonderful.

A perfect festive read, A feel good story in a Christmas setting which is a heartwarming seasonal treat.

Sarah Morgan is one of my favourite authors and this was another incredible read by her. This was so wonderfully touching and family focused. The characters were wonderful and I honestly didn't want to stop reading at any point.

I loved this book, an absolutely perfect Christmas read, set in snowy Aspen at Snowfall Lodge, glamorous tree house accommodation that sounded so perfect I want to book right now(!), snowmobiles, dogsledding and lots of drama.

There's the UK contingent - Maggie & Nick live in Honeysuckle Cottage in Oxford and are married, but have been living apart for a few months (unbeknownst to their adult daughters) and are planning on divorcing having just drifted apart over the years. They have two daughters - Rosie (living in the US, surprises them with news of her Christmas wedding to Dan in 4 weeks!), and Katie (A & E doctor, struggling with her job, VERY prickly).

Then there's the US contingent - Catherine (Dan's widowed Mother, professional wedding planner, owner of Snowfall Lodge, lovely lady but very organised), Dan (the other half of the wedding, laid back, nice guy) and Jordan (Dan's best man - tree surgeon, lives in a lovely cabin he built himself in the woods, fabulous character - my favourite!).

So with the surprise wedding all Christmas plans are changed and the UK contingent fly out to Aspen to be there for the Christmas wedding. Maggie & Nick are hiding the fact that they're divorcing and over-doing 'pretending' they're still the loving couple, Rosie feels a bit rushed about the wedding initially and Katie is just... annoying! I liked all the characters apart from her, I found her really irritating throughout most of the book. She didn't agree with the wedding and went out to Aspen to try and upset it all, thinking Rosie didn't know her own mind and needed to be 'helped' into realising it was the wrong decision.

I really liked the way we had all the different perspectives from the different generations, each working through their own issues that they were keeping secret from one another. But when the secrets started coming out, mainly due to prickly Katie's interference, barriers came down and everyone started being a lot more honest about their feelings about... well everything! Their marriages, their lives, their jobs, etc., of course not without a lot of drama thrown into the mix in the meantime! But it all worked out absolutely perfectly in the end.

A really lovely feel-good read in a magical Christmas setting. Perfect!

Sarah Morgan always has the ability to move me in a way not many other authors do.

In a Wedding In December, we meet Rosie White, who has been swept away in a whirlwind romance with Dan, culminating in an extremely fast proposal of marriage, followed by a date set mere weeks in advance. but who wouldn't love it? A magical December wedding in Aspen, with the snow falling and all your family around?

Well, for a start, quite possibly her parents. Struggling with a secret of separation which they have hidden from their daughters for the last few months, Maggie and Nick wonder how are they going to get through a whole wedding, playing the charade of the happily married mother and father of the bride?

And what about the sister? Katie is a doctor in the A & E department of a busy London hospital. Being ten years older than her romantic sister, Rosie, she has worries and doubts of her own about whether this wedding should even take place, based upon her sister's past and her own present.

So, will this wedding happen? Well, I shan't spoil it for you, suffice to say the journey towards the end of this story is far from smooth, but I felt a true sense of satisfaction by the time I reached the end page!

This is a great Christmas book with lots of snow, joy and festive atmosphere.

Rosie White's been in Aspen for a while where she met Dan. They have had a whirlwind romance and decide to get married on Christmas Eve, having only known each other a few months. Rosie's older sister, Katie, who is a emergency doctor, isn't too impressed with the hastiness of the relationship and marriage and wants to protect Rosie from making any unwise decisions. Rosie's parents, Nick and Maggie, have not been getting on so well since becoming empty-nesters and finding they no longer had much in common. They've been living apart for months and plan to divorce. They haven't told their daughters yet as they wanted to do so in person. They're now in a dilemma as telling Rosie just before her wedding wouldn't be right so they decide to pretend that all is well with their marriage on their arrival in Aspen for the wedding. Katie arrives, very stressed and anxious about things at work as well as her younger sister's impeding wedding. She's ten years older than Rosie and feel very protective towards her so plans to stop the wedding as it's all happened too quickly in her opinion.

Lots of action, pulling wool over eyes and much introspection follows as the White family come together with Dan, his ambitious 'event planner supremo' mother; and his best friend Jordan.

It's a fun story and constantly transports you into a Christmassy mood as the White family stay in tree houses in the grounds of Dan's family hotel. Lots of snow, log fires, alcohol and drama.

It's light and somewhat predictably but also quite funny and poignant at times and just the sort of read that is good for Christmas to get away from the busyness of real life.

A wedding, unexpected, in Colorado?
The White family in England had been preparing for their usual family Christmas at home with all the traditions. All of a sudden it's all blown away by the announcement from younger daughter Rosie that she is marrying a man she has only known for two months! And marrying him in Colorado.
Older sister Katie, a Dr in A and E, with some problems of her own, is determined to 'save' her sister from the marriage, feeling that she is doing her usual jumping in to something without thinking it through.
The parents have their own issues to sort out but don't want the girls to know of their problems.
It is quite a complex story and you need to keep your eye on the many many characters.
But as always Sarah Morgan has written a happy Christmassy book which will be enjoyed by many.

A Wedding In December by Sarah Morgan a four-star read that will make you want to celebrate. I enjoyed this story, but there is a lot going on, lots of plots running over and under each other and just all a little much, but as always Sarah Morgan writes a good story and that makes it easier to keep track of. The White family are all different, but family always know the ways to push each other. This was a good story and if you like the genre then you won’t want to miss this story.

What a cozy, festive, warming read!! I adore Christmas time and reading books about the festive season always gives me a warm glow. This did not disappoint. We follow The Whites, Maggie - the mum and Katie and a Rosie, her two daughters in the lead up to Christmas. Rosie has announced a surprise wedding and everyone will be flying out to celebrate, or in one person’s case, to try and stop it occurring. They all have their own problems and issues that they are trying to keep a secret.
The characters in this book are hugely likeable and relatable. Sarah Morgan also describes the setting perfectly, I’m now desperate to go to Aspen. The plot is interesting, fun, yet not too frothy. This is the perfect book to snuggle up with and get into the Christmas spirit. I’m now off to read more of her Christmas novels!

An absolutely gorgeous read from Sarah Morgan.

The story’s central theme is the wedding between Rosie and Dan, who have only known each other 2 months and have decided to get married at Christmas in Dan’s native Colorado.

As far as older sister Katie is concerned, Rosie could be ruining her life. She is so young and impulsive, how can they know each other well enough to get married so quickly? As far as she is concerned this wedding can’t go ahead.

Katie is a Doctor in A&E and her own life is slowly falling apart after a traumatic event in A&E sees her taking a month’s sick leave to recover.

Maggie and Nick are pleased for Rosie, but they are having marital problems of their own, deciding that their marriage is over they need to get divorced. They go Colorado to attend the wedding without telling the girls of their upcoming divorce. They don’t want to spoil the big day after all.

Jordan is Nick’s friend and his best man. Katie clashes with him, but of course there is an attraction between the two of them.

Rosie starts to have some niggling doubts about the wedding herself, not helped by Nick’s enthusiast mother Catherine to help out with the wedding.

I adored this book, it was such a lovely read and just the story to get you in the mood for Christmas.
