This is a great Christmas book with lots of snow, joy and festive atmosphere.

Rosie White's been in Aspen for a while where she met Dan. They have had a whirlwind romance and decide to get married on Christmas Eve, having only known each other a few months. Rosie's older sister, Katie, who is a emergency doctor, isn't too impressed with the hastiness of the relationship and marriage and wants to protect Rosie from making any unwise decisions. Rosie's parents, Nick and Maggie, have not been getting on so well since becoming empty-nesters and finding they no longer had much in common. They've been living apart for months and plan to divorce. They haven't told their daughters yet as they wanted to do so in person. They're now in a dilemma as telling Rosie just before her wedding wouldn't be right so they decide to pretend that all is well with their marriage on their arrival in Aspen for the wedding. Katie arrives, very stressed and anxious about things at work as well as her younger sister's impeding wedding. She's ten years older than Rosie and feel very protective towards her so plans to stop the wedding as it's all happened too quickly in her opinion.

Lots of action, pulling wool over eyes and much introspection follows as the White family come together with Dan, his ambitious 'event planner supremo' mother; and his best friend Jordan.

It's a fun story and constantly transports you into a Christmassy mood as the White family stay in tree houses in the grounds of Dan's family hotel. Lots of snow, log fires, alcohol and drama.

It's light and somewhat predictably but also quite funny and poignant at times and just the sort of read that is good for Christmas to get away from the busyness of real life.

With thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin UK for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A wedding, unexpected, in Colorado?
The White family in England had been preparing for their usual family Christmas at home with all the traditions. All of a sudden it's all blown away by the announcement from younger daughter Rosie that she is marrying a man she has only known for two months! And marrying him in Colorado.
Older sister Katie, a Dr in A and E, with some problems of her own, is determined to 'save' her sister from the marriage, feeling that she is doing her usual jumping in to something without thinking it through.
The parents have their own issues to sort out but don't want the girls to know of their problems.
It is quite a complex story and you need to keep your eye on the many many characters.
But as always Sarah Morgan has written a happy Christmassy book which will be enjoyed by many.
Thanks To NetGalley for an enjoyable review copy.

A Wedding In December by Sarah Morgan a four-star read that will make you want to celebrate. I enjoyed this story, but there is a lot going on, lots of plots running over and under each other and just all a little much, but as always Sarah Morgan writes a good story and that makes it easier to keep track of. The White family are all different, but family always know the ways to push each other. This was a good story and if you like the genre then you won’t want to miss this story.

What a cozy, festive, warming read!! I adore Christmas time and reading books about the festive season always gives me a warm glow. This did not disappoint. We follow The Whites, Maggie - the mum and Katie and a Rosie, her two daughters in the lead up to Christmas. Rosie has announced a surprise wedding and everyone will be flying out to celebrate, or in one person’s case, to try and stop it occurring. They all have their own problems and issues that they are trying to keep a secret.
The characters in this book are hugely likeable and relatable. Sarah Morgan also describes the setting perfectly, I’m now desperate to go to Aspen. The plot is interesting, fun, yet not too frothy. This is the perfect book to snuggle up with and get into the Christmas spirit. I’m now off to read more of her Christmas novels!
Thank you to netgalley, Sarah Morgan and the publishers for providing me with an advance copy in exchange for an unbiased, honest review.

An absolutely gorgeous read from Sarah Morgan.

The story’s central theme is the wedding between Rosie and Dan, who have only known each other 2 months and have decided to get married at Christmas in Dan’s native Colorado.

As far as older sister Katie is concerned, Rosie could be ruining her life. She is so young and impulsive, how can they know each other well enough to get married so quickly? As far as she is concerned this wedding can’t go ahead.

Katie is a Doctor in A&E and her own life is slowly falling apart after a traumatic event in A&E sees her taking a month’s sick leave to recover.

Maggie and Nick are pleased for Rosie, but they are having marital problems of their own, deciding that their marriage is over they need to get divorced. They go Colorado to attend the wedding without telling the girls of their upcoming divorce. They don’t want to spoil the big day after all.

Jordan is Nick’s friend and his best man. Katie clashes with him, but of course there is an attraction between the two of them.

Rosie starts to have some niggling doubts about the wedding herself, not helped by Nick’s enthusiast mother Catherine to help out with the wedding.

I adored this book, it was such a lovely read and just the story to get you in the mood for Christmas.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me an arc of this story and the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my review.

This was a wonderful and magical escapist book. Just perfect for cuddling up indoors to read. The complex relationships of the main family were fascinating and it’s very true that you only have to scratch the surface to see the cracks appear. Set in Aspen Colorado the Author’s narrative was so descriptive I felt I’d been transported there! A little predictable but it had to be and that only added to the charm in my opinion!

Once again, this book is an absolute win! What a beautiful story..

I love the way that each character has such a different story and part to play - Jordan has to one of my favourites, he had a hard outlook and loved the conclusion.

I now need a real white Christmas and be able to enjoy everything in the story.

Thanks for the opportunity to read this. I will be recommending it to anyone who wants a Christmas read.

I found this book enchanting. The lives of two families start to blend but, not without several admissions tears.
Maggie receives a call from her youngest daughter, Rosie. Rosie and her boyfriend Dan are in Aspen for Thanksgiving and he’s just proposed. This lovely news is overshadowed by the short notice as the wedding is set for Christmas!
Rosie has a history of asthma attacks and Maggie has cocooned her, adding protection from things that could cause her hurt. Such as, the fact that Maggie and Nick, her husband, are estranged. Katie, Maggie’s eldest daughter has a dark secret that she’s not shared with any of the family and she’s not ready to tell. All she is ready for is a fight to make sure that Rosie doesn’t go through with the wedding and make the biggest mistake of her life! Can Maggie, Nick and Katie make the trip from Oxford to Aspen and find out what the urgency is?
I loved the way this story opened out. Having lived in Colorado, the descriptions of the mountains in the snow brought back beautiful memories. I can confirm that Aspen is a gorgeous place.
The way Sarah wove her tale of the intricacies of relationships was magical. I knew there was a happy ending coming but, at what cost?
Read this and escape to a lovely place.

Another wonderful top read from Sarah. Any wonder she is a Times best seller. I thoroughly enjoyed this touching, family orientated, romantic story line and it’s characters, never quite knowing how it will end.

Fans of a Christmas romance will love this book. It has all the right ingredients, likeable characters and beautiful descriptions. We all know what the ending will be from the beginning but that's sort of the point. Reading this book made me feel very excited about Christmas and it's only October!

An easy to read book which flows. The relationship between all the characters are interesting and make one think about one's own relationships with others. Set in a wonderful place it really brings out the worst and then the best between them all.

I really enjoyed it, thanks

I love Sarah Morgan books and have read all of her previous ones. As always this didn’t disappoint and kept me entertained until the very last page. A wonderful story for the festive season with well explored characters and a good plot line. Maggie and Nick were my favourite characters and their story was written really well.

It has begun...the festive reads have commenced in earnest. I didn't quite think I'd be doing this so soon but for some reason I've been in the mood for festive cheer AND I've got a lot of advanced reader copies of christmas themed books to review before publication.

You won't be disappointed. This book will have you pulling loved ones closer ahead of the festive season and searching out those friendships and relationships that make this time of year all the more special. And possibly booking flights to Aspen..you never know!! So light the fire, grab your cosiest blanket and a cup of hot chocolate - and enjoy the magical season through Sarah Morgan's latest book.

I applied to read and review this new novel written by Sarah Morgan and I was so happy when my request was accepted. I’ve read most of her back catalogue and recommended everything I have read as an excellent read. I saved it to read on holiday because I knew it would be another much anticipated treat. I was right; the ‘queen of romance’ has delivered again, just as I knew she would. I loved this novel and it made me feel warm and cosy.
This story is about the White family whose dreams had always been for a real white Christmas, literally speaking. It’s the classic dream of many families at this time of year, a traditional Christmas with snow, seeming to make the day even more magical. Father Nick and mother Maggie are looking forward to their two daughters coming home, as they always had, to share the special celebration, homemade food lovingly set on the table and a tree decorated with handmade craft work created excitedly throughout the lives of the children, nestling underneath presents, lovingly arranged and beautifully wrapped, just inviting the recipients to open them. Family Christmases were just the most wonderful family times.
They had their white Christmas, it is true, but it was a totally different Christmas than any of the family could have possibly predicted; they were not at home and one of their cases has been lost in transit – and it was the case that contained all of the presents and decorations for the tree. It should have been a real disaster, but it wasn’t. It was a wonderful triumph. This is their heart-warming story. It is a spectacular read about family dynamics, finding love, embracing the here and now and making beautiful new beginnings. It literally changed their lives forever but they all doubted this Christmas could ever be bettered or even challenged as the best ever.
I received this book through my membership of NetGalley and from publisher HQ in return for an honest review. Thank you most sincerely for my copy. It’s a well-deserved 4.5* review from me. This is a magical Christmas story and will get you in the mood for the final few days before Christmas is here. I think this would make a really fabulous Christmas present – for yourself or someone who loves reading books from this genre. It’s an absolute gem.

Loved this feel good chic lit, not a term I love, but it really is a book that fits the category. Some great engaging characters who I felt I really got to know. Interesting family situations, working through problems, not wishing to give away the plot, all quite believable. Very succinctly wrapped up in a happy ending.

Simply wonderful book. This novel follows one family each of which is hiding their own secret
But all coming together for a wedding in Colorado sees each of them face upto their secrets
What is going on with their parents who are suddenly showing very outrageous displays of affection and their mum telling everyone they are on their second honeymoon, all too cringey for eldest daughter Katie who works very hard as a doctor in a&e but why is she flinching every time someone touches her is there anyone who can break through her tough shell?
And Rosie who is marrying very quickly is she ok as the baby of the family everyone worries about her and want to make sure she isn't marrying the wrong man
But on the plus side it's going to be a very white Christmas

Oh how I love a Sarah Morgan Christmas book! And this one did not disappoint! The White family - mum and dad en route to divorce, elder daughter unhappy in her career as a doctor and in her life, younger daughter suddenly calling from Colorado to inform the family she’s getting married in a month. At Christmas. What a great start to a story. I loved the realistic, relatable characters and how the story progressed. The ending was perfect. Looking for a romantic story - here it is!

An enjoyable wintry romance. Lighthearted and an easy read about a family and their individual romantic lives.
Fundamentally making the point that communication is key to any relationship

I expected this to be just another whimsical Christmas themed wedding chick lit book, but it’s so much more. Each of the characters have their own back stories, and they unfold in unpredictable ways, adding to this book catching me by surprise. Entertaining, funny and a real page turner, it’s a lovely story about family, fulfilment, ambition and happy ever afters. Highly recommended!
