I do love a Sarah Morgan book. You know what you’re going to get; fantastic scenery, sweet romance and a happy ever after and A Wedding in December didn’t disappoint.

I loved the characters but Maggie especially was such an unassuming heroine, she really stood out. I loved the story with her and Nick and whilst I’d have perhaps like a bit more conflict between them early on, I really loved their story.

I loved the multiple POV and how each character had their own story that impacted on the others.

Overall this is a cosy, festive romance which would be great for Hallmark fans or anyone who enjoys the genre.

I am really sorry but I gave up on this book a few chapters in. Having read some of Sarah Morgan's books before I was really excited to read this but unfortunately it just didn't draw me in.
The first few chapters were really slow with not much happening and the characters all seemed really wooden and unimaginative. I gave up just after Rosie's parents arrived in Aspen.
I really tried with this book, going back to it a couple of times but for me there was no 'hook' and I just couldn't get into it. Sorry.
I haven't posted this review on Amazon as I really don't like posting negative reviews.

This was a lovely book, it made you feel very Christmassy and warm, I could smell the pine trees and the crunch of snow underfoot as I was reading it. Sarah Morgan writes a good story and I have read a few of them in the past.
It is pure escapism which in this busy, dark and dreary days running up to Christmas can make you feel so much better. I’ve read this in one sitting as it was such an easy read.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

No one can quite set the scene like Sarah Morgan. I could visualise the setting of this book so vividly that I could almost feel the frost nip at my nose. I loved all of the characters in this story and was so keen to see how their stories would pan out that I read the book in one sitting. A lovely seasonal romance.

This is a great holiday read with a good cast of characters and a lovely location. The focus is on marriages and family relationships. There is also a bit of a culture clash due to the Transatlantic nature of events. Some of the lessons from the book include - keep communications open, particularly within a marriage and let people sort out their own relationships. A page turner.

A wedding story that takes place at Christmas in Aspen, what’s not to love!
This book takes us on the journey of the whirlwind wedding taking place at Christmas and the emotions of the family members all dealing with the sudden news.
With the stunning backdrop of Christmas in Colorado, this book made me want to book a ticket to enjoy a wonderfully white Christmas of my own!

Having read most of Sarah Morgan’s books this one rates as my favourite to date. I enjoyed it so much I didn’t want it to end. Set in Aspen, Colorado her description of the setting is so magical I almost felt that I was there. The White family live in the picturesque Honeysuckle cottage in Oxford and enjoy a traditional family Christmas every year. This year though younger daughter Rosie announces out of the blue that she is marrying Dan on Christmas Eve at his home in Aspen. The family are invited to stay at Dan’s mother’s holiday complex over the festive season. However Maggie and her husband Nick are keeping a secret from daughters Rosie and Katie. Older Sister Katie is a doctor who is also hiding secrets from the family and arrives in Aspen with the sole intention of persuading Rosie that she’s making a big mistake in marrying Dan as they’ve only been in a relationship for a few months. Katie is overprotective of Rosie being ten years older than her and she oversteps the mark on several occasions causing many upsets along the way. This is a lovely feel good read, in turn laugh out loud funny and serious. The descriptions of Snowfall Lodge and the tree houses made me want to book a holiday there! Highly recommend. My thanks to netgalley and HQ for an advanced copy.

Well this is the first book I’ve read by Sarah Morgan and it will definitely not be the last! I absolutely loved it. Reading about the problems and insecurities of the generations of the White family kept me engrossed as well as wanting to know more and feeling involved in their struggles to find happiness. Imagining the wonderful scenery, expertly described left me with a warm Christmassy feeling! A lovely book and a must for a chilly winter’s evening in front of the fire. Brilliant!

I absolutely adored this book and cant recommend it highly enough. A couple having their own marriage issues have to 'reunite' as one of their daughters is getting married. The venue for the wedding isn't on home turf, so the traditional family Christmas won't be spent at home this year but in the idyllic sounding snowy Aspen. Their other daughter is having her own issues that she doesn't want to worry her family with. Can they all have a happy Christmas? A wonderfully written story.

I really enjoyed this book. Despite having followed Sarah Morgan on facebook for a while I hadn't read any of her books. I found the family element of the story a familiar one on two strands - Maggie and Nick, and the two sisters, and it's given a bit of a shake up.That being said the story was enjoyable, and I genuinely didn't know if the weeding would go ahead. Some of the scenes with Maggie and Nick made me laugh out loud. Likeable characters, strong relationships and an idyllic setting, a lovely read. I'll be looking for more. #netgalley #aweddingindecember

Sarah Morgan is a fantastic author. I adore her books and this has to be one of my favourites.
Rosie is getting married after a whirlwind romance and in Aspen at Christmas. Her parents, Maggie and Nick are hiding a secret from her and her sister but, don't want to ruin her big day so decide not to say anything and let them have a fantastic wedding. Katie, her older sister, is dreading the wedding. She believes Rosie is rushing into this wedding and needs to make sure her little sister knows what she is doing.
The family adore Christmas but, this time something is different. There are secrets that are kept and scared to tell. Will Rosie have the perfect winter wedding? Or will secrets ruin it all?
Amazing read

This was a definite feel good Christmas novel. Sarah Morgan never fails to create that warm, fuzzy and traditional feeling inside.
Maggie who has always been protective of her daughter Rosie, receives the phone call from America telling her that she's getting married at Christmas in a matter of weeks. Katie, Rosie's sister meanwhile, has begun to question her career and the way her life is going. Maggie is holding a secret from both girls that will rock them. She is separated from their dad, Nick and this was to be the last Christmas in their cosy, family cottage. The wedding is happening in Aspen, Colorado and so the family fly out. Truths will be discovered, feelings will be delved into and questioned, along with pleasant unexpected developments.

Many thanks to Netgalley for my copy and the chance to review.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion.
This is a light and cheery read, set in Aspen, Colorado in a fairytale setting, Katie's sister Rosie is goign to get married to Dan who she has only known for a few months so the whole family have flown out to join her in a luxury hotel complex run by Dan's mother.
out of concern for Rosie, Katie is determined to stop the wedding as she feels that it has all happened so quickly and she wants to protect her sister. Rosie cites their parents who likewise had a whirlwind romance and are happily married.
Meanwhile, their parents are trying to cover up the fact that their marriage is in fact on the rocks and that they are in fct living apart although in the same house. They don't want to spoil the event though and are keeping up the pretence in their romantic holiday accomodation.
The story revels in the wintry weather and the the magical lifestyle in the luxury hotel complex they are all staying in. Events unfold and of course there is romance in the air.
This is a pleasant easy read, some humour and some sadness, but perectly suitable for a warm night in away from the winter chills. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've just finished this book and I totally loved it. The first Sarah Morgan book I read was Sleigh Bells in the Snow. I had never read a book like that before and loved it. It really set off a love for reading I never knew I had! This book has done it again.

I have read other books by Sarah but these Christmas ones really get me. They totally draw you in and she has a magical way of keeping you turning those pages.

A super story line with a really lovely christmas setting. This book is one that you don't want to miss. Well done Sarah and thank you.
