I went into this book completely blind, didn’t even read the synopsis with just an admiration for the author and a hope that I wouldn’t be disappointed. I absolutely loved it. It was a constant whirlwind of emotions and at times I felt so connected in the characters I’m pretty sure I felt genuine rage. If you’re in the mood for a kind of twisted romance novel bred from the depths of tragedy with a truly heart wrenching mother daughter dynamic this is your book. Hell if you just want to read a damn good book in general THIS is your book. Five stars.

I went into Regretting You blind. No blurb, nothing besides the title and the author. I already know that Colleen Hoover can rip me to shreds because of previous books, but I was not expecting something so damn complex. Regretting You was emotional. So damn emotional. I am at a literal loss of words. Regretting You will left me with my heart splayed wide open, vulnerable and raw.

Colleen Hoover wrote such a profound story, that was so different than I have ever seen done before. From the characters to the dialogue, from the dialogue to the story-line. Regretting You showcases some truly great qualities. The sacrifices made, the love and the hurt that comes along with every relationship, the good and the bad, and the ugly. It was not overdone, It felt real and authentic. It truly made for a remarkable one of a kind story. Regretting You and it's characters will forever be in my heart.

Very briefly, so as not to give any spoilers, this book is about a mother and daughter working their way through a difficult time in their lives. There’s humor, heartbreak, and hope. It’s not a cheesy romance, although there is some romance in it. It’s told from two different perspectives, so the reader, at times, knows a little more than the character currently telling the story. There were times when I wished I could just give one of them a hug, or explain to her what I knew and she didn’t. I found myself not wanting to put this book down because I wanted to know what was going to happen with these characters. I found myself caring about these imaginary people very early on so I had to keep reading. If you are fan of Colleen’s other books, this one does not disappoint.

All the stars! Another great read from Colleen Hoover.

I went in blind knowing only that there would be a mother and daughter in the story because, when my favorite author releases a new book, I don't need to read the synopsis! I don't want to give a lot away, so I'll be pretty brief and a little vague with my review. Regretting You encompasses many things--relationships (all kinds--familial, friendship, romantic), tragedy, adult and young adult romance, misunderstandings, secrets, pain and healing. The story was more complex and emotional than I was expecting, which was great. I really liked the main characters, probably the male ones the most. I typically prefer younger/teen characters but I really liked the adult characters too. I can't really pick a favorite but I'd probably place Regretting You in my top four favorite CoHo novels.

What I love about Colleen Hoover is that she never writes the same story twice. So if you don't care for one story (although I can't even imagine that), don't give up because the next one will be entirely different. In my opinion--in a community where so many authors drag standalones into trilogies, trilogies into six-part series, and so forth--writing brand new worlds, plots, and characters takes the most talent.

I'm very thankful to have received an early review copy.

Regretting You is another fabulously written masterpiece by Colleen Hoover. Every book of hers I go into never knowing which direction it will head and with every book I am blown away. Regretting You is a beautiful and tragic story of a young Mother and her daughter. I loved every piece of it with every tear and smile it brought with it. Thank you Ms Hoover for this book...it was EPIC!

”I’m worried we got it wrong.”

Well what the hell am I supposed to read now?

There was something juicy on every page and my inner drama queen was devouring it like freshly popped popcorn (pun intended!)

I got this book last night. I finished in the middle of the night. I physically couldn’t stop reading. My hands were shaking and my eyes could hardly keep up with the words on the page cause I just wanted, no, needed to know what was coming next.

Gosh, this book. It’s so full of turmoil that it’s exhausting but at the same time the banter amidst the grief is somehow laugh out loud funny.

It’s heavy, it’s ugly, it’s raw. I know a lot of you will relate and a lot of you are going to hurt so good reading this. Hoover always has a way of doing that with her words and I love her for it.

Clara and her mom, man, let me tell ya. I don’t envy their life. Not everything they had to go through to get where they are by the end of the story. But what a ride it was.

Don’t be afraid. Take a chance, grab a tissue, some popcorn,</> and dive right in. YOU HAVE TO!

2019 award winner right here.

CoHo has once again left me wanting more. The journey Morgan and her daughter Clara are on is both heartbreaking and insightful. After a tragic accident they are left wondering what is real and what is not. Morgan tries to steer her daughter away from history repeating itself and in the process their relationship is tested to it’s limits. It’s a beautifully written story as you would expect from Colleen.

I didn’t know much going into this book, only that every book by Colleen Hoover has me shocked, sobbing and makes me FEEL. This isn’t a 5 star read, but it was still amazing! Kept me feeling from start to finish...

Regretting You by Colleen Hoover ranks up there with Slammed for me. I absolutely loved this story. This was a love story, a love story between two adults, two teenagers, and a mother and daughter. When a book can have me laughing one minute , and crying another that is a great book to me. It's told in alternating viewpoints between Clara and her mother Morgan.

There is tragedy, deceit, but there is so much joy and happiness in this book. You will fall for Miller, and Jonah. You will laugh at the sarcasticness of Clara, and Lexie. Morgan's story will rip your heart out, but the journey to her peace is most beautiful.

I love this sentence for the book. "Sometimes you have to walk away from the fight in order to win it." isn't that the truth.

I missed Colleen's cute romantic stories!
This book was about love, healing, acceptance and most importantly about a mother and daughter's unconditional love.
Colleen also delivered us healthy and strong relationships.
She showed us that love can be found even in our darkest days but also love must be conquered.
Highly recommend!

This is Colleen Hoover at her best. Regretting You took me back to all the feelings I had with Slammed. This book was so addictive. I read it all in one sitting, ignored my family and bathroom breaks. I’m not joking about the addictive part. I was fully invested in this story from the first chapter. The characters were so relatable, I feel like we’re friends now and I’m going to miss them so much. This story was all the things and so much more!
