Regretting You is the kind of story that immediately pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I loved that the story was told through a mother and daughter’s eyes. It is not a romance, although there is some romance in it. It is the story of a family. A family torn apart by grief and heartache. What Morgan and Clara go through had me glued to the pages. I didn’t want to put it down. I wanted to unravel all the tangled webs, yet I was afraid of what I would find out. It was SO GOOD! Another unique and captivating story by one of my favorite authors. She has a talent for story-telling unlike any other.

I love all of Colleen’s books. I have copies of her books in all formats ebook, paperback and audible. This love story made my heart bleed. What I love most about it is that it’s not only a romantic love but a mother and daughter love as well. It’s about being broken to pieces by the people you love, being able to shelter your children from the world’s ugliness, being able to accept and forgive them, being able to be yourself and take the chance of your own happiness, being able take everything that life throws at you. Colleen did it again! And I can’t wait for everyone to read it and more of her books. You kill us with every book that you write Colleen. And I thank you for that!

With every Colleen Hoover book, I'm in awe. The readability alone is astounding, but I'm convinced no one sees the world quite like she does until we've read her books. We get the tiniest glimpse into her brilliant mind and are somehow persuaded to view others with a little more love and compassion than we could have thought possible.

When I found out this was going to be a mother-daughter book, I was expecting it to hurt. Saying I don't have the best relationship with my own mother is the understatement of the century, so I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this story. I don't particularly enjoy diving too far into that realm of my brain. I should have known preconceived ideas are complete nonsense when it comes to Colleen's books. I never know what to expect and I never know when or where a twist will catch me off guard - it creates the ideal reading experience! Despite guessing what the twist would be, it didn't detract in the least from the reading experience. I didn't want to put this book down!

My favorite thing about this story was how convincingly I was put into the shoes of both Morgan (a 35-year-old mom) and Clara (her 16-year-old daughter). I felt like I was constantly bouncing between my current adult brain and my former teenage brain. I have to say, Morgan's perspective was the most enjoyable to be in because the angst of Clara's mind made my chest hurt. I'm ridiculously grateful I'm no longer sixteen!

The book covers a variety of topics and struggles we or someone we know will inevitably face (though hopefully not as drastically as her characters). Colleen helps her readers navigate reality armed with significantly more grace and understanding. I think the most important lessons readers will take away from this novel are ultimately "love covers a multitude of sins" and communication is the most valuable tool we have in our arsenal.

This was yet another beautifully done novel by Colleen Hoover with Slammed-level romance. I felt every emotion imaginable and had tears in my eyes by the end. For me, that's always a sign of a stellar read.

It’s no secret I’ve been a huge fan of Colleen Hoover since I read her novel It Ends With Us. And after reading Verity last year, I’ve been itching for my next Hoover fix. Regretting You came just in time to get me out of a horrible book slump!

This book gave me alllll the feels. It was sweet, cute, emotional and it was exactly what I needed. If you are a fan of Hoover, or even if you haven’t read her yet, I highly recommend this one! 5 ⭐️.

Wow! What to say about this book?! I love everything Colleen Hoover does, and this may be one of my new favorites. It's so painful, but somehow so great at the same time. You love the characters and also hate what their doing to themselves all at the same time. I love the stories and how they all collide and the focus on dealing with grief after death. I thought the characters, situations, and reactions were so real and relatable and couldn't love the book more!

Didn't know what to expect going into this novel, which is the way I like it. Like most of Colleen Hoover's books, it stands on it's own in terms of the uniqueness of the characters and storyline.

I think many mothers will find this book relatable when it comes to parenting a teenager. Every parent knows there's no one size fits all manual and in Regretting You, mother and daughter attempt to navigate the consequences of most devastating incident of their lives.

As the betrayal, revenge, and misunderstandings mount, the mother and daughter's relationship is tested to it's breaking point. Sometimes honesty is the best approach.

Kudos to Lexi, Clara's hilarious friend. I'm hoping she gets her own story.

Another solid 5 star read from Colleen. Regretting You is beautiful from the dedication to the very end. Colleen has a way of building the most unique characters but still making them relatable. If you love the Slammed and Hopeless Series you are in for a treat! This book tackles the mother/daughter relationship between Morgan & Clara while they both are enduring the hardest time of their lives. She nails the mother/daughter dynamic flawlessly. I highly recommend everyone read this book when it comes out. You won’t be regretting it.

Queen Colleen has done it again!! It’s amazing how she can write across so many different genres and topics but still bring her A game to every single one of them! This story is a about a mother and daughter relationship as the grapple through a tragic event that changes their lives in so many ways! Morgan and Clara are such realistic characters that I can relate to and the emotions throughout this book are raw, staggering, gut wrenching and heartbreaking. You could feel it pouring of the pages. It’s also filled with love, grief, healing, acceptance and strength. I don’t like to know too much about Colleen’s books before diving in because I like the surprise of the subjects and twists that she inevitably gives us. This story was so phenomenal and I loved the roller coaster it took me on. It’s unbelievable how accurately she is able to portray this relationship between not only Morgan and Clara but the other characters as well. I have been patiently waiting in anticipation for this book and I am not disappointed! It will definitely be one of the top 3 books of the year for me!

I really love reading all of Colleen Hoover’s books, and this was no exception! It was full of true heart and humor. I loved the focus on the mother-daughter relationship along with some romance, I mean come on it’s Colleen Hoover! I truly loved the double viewpoints, I don’t always, but in this book they added so much depth and really swept me away. Hoover effortlessly wrote the different ages of the characters in their viewpoints and it really helped me live their different stories. I felt for both of them and longed for them to find peace. What a fantastic journey! And I just loved the ending! You all are going to love this one!

A poignant, emotional read surrounding love, loss, and grief recovery. Colleen Hoover has done an amazing job with her narrative shifts and creating real-life, palpable characters. This book has a heavy emotional feel with interwoven romantic aspects. Definitely not for those looking for a light read as the storyline is quite consuming. 5 stars.

This book is absolutely PHENOMENAL!! When starting a Colleen Hoover novel I always struggle between wanting to devour it as fast as I can and trying to pace myself so I can savor the epicness. Well in the case of Regretting You, I absolutely devoured it— start to finish in one day! I found the storyline fresh, original and packed with so much depth! The fantastic characters are perfectly imperfect and relatable so much so, that by the end of the book you feel as if you know them in real life! This 5++++ star read had me laughing, I crying (both tears of joy and sadness), but as is true with Colleen Hoover novels, I’m left in awe of what gifted author Colleen is! I can’t recommend Regretting You enough— most definitely at the top of my 2019 favorites list! No matter what book genre Colleen’s writes, she knocks it out of the park so needless to say, I am exited for whatever she has up her sleeve next!

Once I started reading Regretting You I was hooked. I didn't want to put it down! I am so glad I went in without reading any synopses or teasers. The book deals with many different relationships but I loved how the book was written in the mother/daughter POV. I felt it made the book even more unique. Miller is one of my new, favorite Coho characters. Regretting You definitely made me feel so many different emotions. Colleen does it again! Five stars.

The last few CoHo books that have come out I’ve tried to stay away from all teasers and synopses. So I went into this book blind and was not surprised at all that Colleen slayed it. Morgan and Clara’s stories took me through a whirlwind of emotions. I hope to be able to share this story with my daughters one day when they are older!

I am a huge Colleen Hoover fan however I was a little bummed out at this book, very similar to how I felt with Without Merit. I am not a fan of YA so I think that may be a reason as well. It definitely was a little hard for me to read because it dealt with spousal cheating which is a trigger for me. . But overall like all Coho books it, was a very well written. The topic she was dealing with was mother daughter dynamics and I like that it was told from two different point of views but, I wish that Morgan (the mom) found her voice and her sense of self a little more. And honestly Clara the daughter was a brat. I thought a lot of the subjects just grazed the surface instead of really going deeper like Colleen usually does. The family dynamics were crazy and all intertwined together. Once you read it, you will understand. I just wish I had connected to the characters more. I think since so many subjects were touched in this book the characters seemed a bit distant and hard to connect with. Even the main characters Cara and Morgan were hard to feel for because I felt that the substance for me just waste there. I understood what they were going through however I don't think their true and deep feelings were portrayed. Miller and Clara's relationship was interesting. It was a little frustrating how patient Miller was with Clara as she continued to use him because she was trying to get back at her mom.

Overall it was a good story. I would give it 4 stars. But this one just didn't capture my attention and feelings the way Colleen Hoover books usually do. Coming off releasing Verity and All Your Perfects, this one was just a little disappointing for me.

I read this book two times. The first time, I wasn’t a fan. (That’s all I am going to say on that.) The second time, Colleen Hoover stole my heart. I am so glad that I read this story the second time around, I would have hated to see what I would have missed had I not.

So, two things first:

Two of my favorite things. Bam! And Regretting You had just that! Driving away from her normal POV structures, Colleen based this one around a mother / daughter POV. Something that we don’t see too often these days. It was unique and original and for this story– it worked.

Clara was a hard character to like. I think any one who reads this book can agree with that. But it just really goes to prove how well Colleen can write characters. Despite what they look like physically, she does an amazing job at creating characters that are REAL. Because honestly– how many 16 year old girls do us adults really like? LOL!

In true Coho fashion– her twists are magnificent. If you read the blurb on this story and don’t think there is a twist, you will be wrong. You will not see is coming. But what you will see if how it creates and shapes a story that will captivate you when it’s all said and done.

Exploring this mother / daughter relationship (twice) was such an adventure. I think the thing we can all agree on when it comes to Colleen, is she never writes the same story twice and she never writes the same characters twice. But what she does do over and over again, is steal our hearts with every story she creates.

And I don’t even think she means to, LOL!

WOW!!! This book made me feel all the emotions. A very real mother-daughter relationship. Not the typical Colleen Hoover romance. This book is filled with family tragedy, family secrets, strained relationships, and at times it seems as though everyone is just holding on by a string.

Your heart will break. You will ask, "How could they?" You will find that there are good people out there. And hopefully, you will come away with a sense of peace and understanding through the tears.

Stop what you are doing and read this book. Regretting You is EVERTHING!! This is old school CoHo times 100, think Slammed and Hopeless on steroids (if steroids were good for you). RY is why Mrs. Hoover is an OG, she’s got mad skills.
I was hooked from page one, 100% invested in Madison and Clara’s story that is what made this book so special, the mother/daughter dynamic one is living the life that the other had to let go. You get two stories in one heartbreakingly beautiful book. The struggle of parenting and wanting to prevent your child from making some of the same decisions you made at that age. Wanting better for them.
The emotions are real, raw and unpolished all while being totally perfect and acceptable response to the issues thrown their way. My only complaint, I want more, I always want more.

When was the last time you finished a book and thought...”I need to buy this for my mom.”?

Colleen Hoover is a boy mom and she wrote the mother daughter dynamic better than a true story. Regretting You is so heartbreaking that it made me uncomfortable. It’s so moving that I’m filled with so much warmth and love and I need this physical copy so I can give it to my daughter when the time is right.

This book needs to be read. With all Hoover books, go in blind, don’t worry about the synopsis. Just know your heart will thank you.

What you think you know...Oh this story you are going to have some serious feelings. Old COHO for me. Those feelings of wanting to see what's coming and wanting to being able to jump into a page and stop it , but really not knowing what is happening also. I know it seems confusing, it seem hard to understand that's what makes it worth the read. The pull of the story , the tug of the unknown . Then it all starts to unravel and you just keep reading and you cant stop...

but with every page comes a different moment . The Dual POV gives you insight into each side, you're able to understand their reasons for their actions. You are part of the pages. I understood it. I connected so much with this. It was hard and beautiful, and I loved every single page.

WOW WOW WOW! Colleen Hoover is amazing! She has once again flexed her writing muscles to bring us Regretting You. Although it is a YA novel it is definitely written for the more mature audience.
Regretting You is about love, loss and circumstances. It is told from the perspective of mother & daughter; Morgan and Clara. Colleen Hoover delivers a 1~2 punch early, then a second round, with the fallout flowing through the remaining chapters.

"Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike."

Life was simple and predictable for Morgan Grant until the unimaginable occurs. Now she must move forward and make decisions that will be best for herself and her daughter. She is navigating life’s roadblocks while trying to protect Clara from devastating secrets and lies.

“You’re a sacrificer. I don’t even know if that’s a real word, but that’s what you are. You do things you don’t want to make life better for the people around you.”

With everything coming apart around her, Clara struggles to cope and process the truth as she believes it to be. This results in her whole world turning upside down. Resentment, betrayal, anger, and hatred all play pivotal roles in the choices that she makes. Morgan is desperate to keep Clara from repeating her own mistakes while keeping her happy memories in place.

I did not want to put Regretting You down and stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to finish it! It is thought provoking, heartfelt and brilliantly written. Although it revolves mainly around Morgan and Clara, there are other characters in play as well. They too are affected by the choices that are made and the consequences that follow.

I feel I must also give my disclaimer as I do with every Colleen Hoover book. All I can really say is: Go in “blind,” meaning don’t read reviews, don’t get caught up in the hype. Take your time and savor the words that are beautifully written. It will be emotional, but in the end it is worth it. Hold on tight because you are in for one hell of a ride. This allows greater enjoyment of the story.
