A wonderful fourth addition to this fabulous series! A brand new story encompassing all the original characters too . . .

Teaching assistant Alice is very much a main player in Penmenna village school; so much so that this year she finds herself in charge of the nativity, and she is determined to make it the best one ever. Alice has a close friend in Dan, the new vicar and, much as she would like to be more than friends, she has sworn off the opposite sex and is so conscious of not being sylph-like that she cannot see why any male would look at her twice. Little does she know that Dan is quashing his own reciprocal feelings!

From the very beginning, this series has had winner stamped all over it; a gorgeous setting with a fantastic cast, each with their own idiosyncracies. There is a perfect balance of characters, stretching right across the human race and - as is the case for all of us - finding themselves in the position of having to get on with things - and each other. I love the new fun characters which have been introduced in this one and, as always, there is so much going on throughout the book that I just seemed to fly through it! The magic of Christmas shines through the pages, and I loved everything about this one - it's an amazing addition to a superb series and Kitty Wilson has done a first-class job. A joy to read and fully deserving of every one of the five shiny stars I'm more than happy to give it. Highly recommended!

The story of Alice and Dan, good friend but will they ever be more.

Set in the run up to chrisstmas they are spending more time together, especially when his granny Annie tries matchmaking. Can move on from his past to a future with Alice or will he just break her heart?

A great festive read, and nice to catch up with the rest of the village characters!

A lovely non taxing easy read, perfect to get you into the festive spirit as full of Christmas cheer! I havnt read the previous books in this series but don’t think that has detracted from this fourth one in the series so can easily be read as a stand alone book!
Alice is a school teacher in the village and is tasked with organising this years school nativity play, Dan the dishy vicar has feelings for Alice that are reciprocated, however the path of true love never runs smoothly even with the good intentions of Dan’s granny and her best friend staging interventions! Ultimately a happy ever after is achieved amongst the Christmas festivities!
Thank you net galley for this early read!

I loved Alice and Dan, rooted for them, and I liked to read about the other characters. All of them are fleshed out and relatable.

With thanks to Netgalley and Canelo for this ARC in exchange for an open and honest review.

Christmas Wishes is the fourth book in The Cornish Village School series. I have read all four and they are definitely on a par with Gervase Phinn`s books. The Cornish Village School centres on the staff and children at Penmenna School.

Teaching Assistant Alice Pentire and local vicar Dan are best friends. Alice has a massive crush on Dan, Dan feels the same but is scared to tell her be cause he is still dealing with tragedy from his past.

All that changes when Annie, Dan`s young at heart gran comes to live at the vicarage. Annie likes Alice and decides to do a little matchmaking with the help of her new friend Ethel.

Meanwhile Alice is given the job of organising the class four nativity play. However that job is made more difficult when a new mum true to try dethrone Marion Markshot, godzilla of the PTA.

This was another heart warming read from Kitty Wilson. I love the reoccurring characters in each book such as Rosie, Pippa and Marion Markshot. It feels like relaxing with good friends.

I liked Dan`s sense of humour, he was very un-vicar like. When Dan revealed his story to Alice it was heartbreaking. I loved his gran Annie and her matchmaking skills, I had to laugh when straight laced Ethel`s secret was revealed.

Marion Markshot is a fantastic character, the way she punished her rival was brilliant. I don't want to give anything away but there is a big surprise at the end of this book. I can't wait to see what Penmenna School do in book five.

I recommend this fun christmassy read.

Such a fabulous Christmassy read, This is one i would love to read beside a fire with a Christmas tree lit beside me because it is just so cosy!

This is the story of Alice who is a teaching assistant. She has sworn off men and has thrown herself into organising the Christmas nativity. She has the help of her friend the vicar,Dan. Who she has started having very non friend feelings for... Whatever could happen!?

Well actually quite a bit in this story but I shall spoil nothing as it is well worth the read!

This book is very enjoyable, I read it in one sitting and was left with a warm festive glow. Alice works at the local school and is determinedly happy to be single, her job, which she loves, keeps her busy and she enjoys working with the children. As Christmas approaches she focuses on the nativity. Then Dan, the vicar, comes along.
Fun, funny, thoroughly enjoyable, this book says cuddle up with a hot drink and warm fire and lose yourself for a couple of hours
