Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review. An interesting novel by a new author in my personal reading-sphere! I am sure others would enjoy it too. Good character portrayls, descriptive setting and gripping plot.

Loved the setting and the characters in this story. It felt a lot more like a traditional Christmas book which I really enjoyed! A lovely cozy read that is just lovely to dig into around the festive period.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I loved the overall Christmas feel of this novel with the decorations, trees and festive food leaping off the page but it was the shopping mall which resonated with me most. In my student days, my first job was working in a mall at Christmas and I loved it – the atmosphere, people watching and helping shoppers with their retail experience. Katlyn Duncan has captured the essence of that perfectly as Angie returns to the mall she once worked. She is a character I could relate too and Nick along with his dog, Charlie makes a good love interest. Their chemistry meant I was more than happy to have a duvet day to continue reading to discover how family feuds and trust issues played out.

It is heart-warming, reminded me of the important things about the festive season – love, charity and goodwill – and more importantly, gave me the tingle of anticipation that soon it will be time to decorate my own tree.

Unfortunately I was unable to get in to this story and had to put it down, however, I'm sure it is a highly loved book and appreciated by the right readers.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… but not for Angie Martinelli…

Having lost her boyfriend, job, and apartment all in the space of a week, Angie has no choice but to leave California and return to her family in New England.

Determined not to let life weigh her down, Angie finds work at the local mall where she worked as a teenager. After an embarrassing run-in with a handsome stranger, Nick, she’s convinced her luck is about to change.

But Nick has secrets of his own… and as the first flakes of snow begin to fall, Angie can’t help but wonder if she’ll ever find love.

Wrapped Up in Christmas by Kaitlyn Duncan is a heartwarming and sweet Christmas read. It centers around war hero, Bodie Lewis, who has lost fellow soldiers in Afghanistan and is still trying to move past those events. Bodie heads to Pine Hill, Kentucky in order to track down the identity of the person who made him a quilt as he was recovering from his wounds in a hospital. Sarah the heroine, is not what Bodie expects. Rather than divulge his identity or the story of his tragic war past, he allows her to believe he is a handyman. As the two fall for each other, Bodie must heal from the past in order to forge a new future in Pine Hill with Sarah.

Wrapped Up For Christmas by Katlyn Duncan

is the love story of Angie and Nick that takes place over the Christmas period.

Angie has returned to her family home in Connecticut after losing her boyfriend and consequently her job in San Diego. Nick is working for his father's company running the local shopping mall.  The pair run into each other in a cafe and become friends, neither wanting a relationship.

The storyline you can pretty much guess, but there are lots of Christmas activities along the way - tree decorating, mugs of hot chocolate, ice skating, and family fueds, it's all in here.  There is even a Christmas baby!

Wrapped Up For Christmas has the added bonus of having Charlie the golden retriever as a main character and a big storyline about supporting the local homeless shelter.

A lovely read to get you into the festive spirit.

If you love hallmark Christmas movies, then you will enjoy this book.
This is about a girl who lost her job, boyfriend and apartment all in the same week, so she has to return to her family. She gets a job at the mall she worked at as a teenager and bumps into a stranger named Nick. The romance was nice, but I think these Christmas books are too cute and perfect.

Unfortunately I did not get on with this book and therefore cannot rate it very highly. I really struggled to connect with the characters and storyline.

I tried, I tried so hard to really get into the book, but after a month of starting and stopping I just had to stop. The premise has promise, and really the expectations are super high, because the whole point of Christmas books are that they are easy reads and make you feel good.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't relate to the characters, the story was soooooooooooo slow to start, and once they got to saving the homeless person but still the characters have secrets from each other....I was just done.

Thank to Net Galley for the ARC for an honest review.

This was so adorable! I literally could put this down and read it in two sittings. Such a feel-good story!

This is Angie's story. She just had a bad break-up, lost her job and had to move home to her parent's house. Needless to say, this was not how her Christmas was supposed to go. Nonetheless, Angie makes the best of it and enjoys the comfort of being near her family and friends, finds a new job even if it's not 'the' one, and even a new romance. It's not easy for her to put herself so soon in a romantic situation but sometimes life just happens... it might not go how you predict but it might just go where it should.

Angie was the kindest sweetest person and I loved how much she cared for everyone around her. She's intelligent, self-sufficient, strong and I loved to see her ultrapass every obstacle life put in front of her. I also loved how much initiative she had and how much she worked for something she believed in. It was beautiful to see and we need more of those thoughts and actions!

I loved her friendship with Reese and how sweet she was for everyone near her. Reese was very different from her, a lot more blunt and harsh but with a heart of gold. Their friendship was beautiful and I dearly enjoyed their moments together.

As for our love interest, Nick. He was definitely a good guy with his heart in place even if sometimes his actions didn't shine through the way they were supposed to. I loved seeing him with Angie and I could feel their spark and attraction through the pages. Their romance started quite fast but sometimes that's just how it is, and it doesn't mean it's not right. I loved them together and I think they were perfect for each other.

This book is full of holiday cheer, sweet moments, it's a fair share of drama and a lot of romantic moments.

If you're a fan of sweet, feel-good Christmas stories this is for you! It was gripping and just the perfect holiday book to curl up and read on a cold day.

hat a wonderful author Katlyn Duncan is! This book is an absolute pleasure to read. It’s festive and lively, and presents us with a very likeable hero and heroine. Neither of them are perfect, but they’re genuine and well-intentioned and we really care about them.
Christmas is all about family and friends, and both are important in this novel. Reese is the sort of best friend we’d all love to have and she cares so very much about Angie. Angie’s mum and grandparents want the best for Angie too but can be unintentionally annoying, the way that relatives do! Nick has the love and support of his brother and his wife. This aspect gives a warm sense of unity and comfort in the novel.
Angie has come home to more than Christmas: she’s coming home to herself, and, we all hope, happiness.
The plot is clever with the misunderstandings, tensions, incidents – major and minor – and denouement that we want from a Christmas romcom. It’s all presented to us with love, care and a hug from this talented author, wrapped up in a beautiful cover!
Great fun and absolutely one for your Christmas reading list.
