I became a big fan of T. L. Swan's writing after reading her book MR. MASTERS. That remained my very favorite, but I think after reading, THE STOPOVER, it is right up there with that book. There is a camping scene in this book that is just hilarious. I was laughing so much, that I had to stop and read the entire camping part to my husband. He was laughing, too. He didn't have to know anything else about the characters. It was that good! It was my favorite part of the book. There are other parts of the book that were good, and a good deal of angst. But the book was worth reading for just that camping part alone.

Emily Foster was on a flight to New York, City. Due to an ugly incident in the airport, Emily is moved up to first class. This was a real treat for her. Also it was a treat to be sitting next to the best looking man, she ever had the pleasure to meet. Each glass of champagne only seemed to make him even more attractive. The flight to N.Y. City was rerouted due to bad weather. That is how Emily and “Jim” ended up sleeping together in Boston. Thus the title: THE STOPOVER.

Emily knew she would always remember this magical night. Then “Jim” ups and leaves for a flight back to N.Y. City first thing in the morning. She was certain that he had felt the insane chemistry and attraction that she had experienced. It was the best mind-blowing sex of her life. And by the way he couldn't get enough, she knew he had enjoyed it, too. But then why did he leave without even getting her phone number?? Since she had missed her job interview in New York, it was a perplexed and disappointed young woman who boarded a plane to return home to L.A.

A year passes, when Emily is finally in N.Y. She now has the opportunity of all opportunities. A job with Miles Media. It is the biggest conglomerate media empire in the United States and one of the largest in the world. The biggest surprise is when she meets her new boss. Jameson Miles has inherited control of the family empire: Miles Media Holdings. He walks around his desk and holds his hand out to shake hers, and introduces himself as “Jameson Miles.” Emily suddenly realizes, It's him! He is the layover guy who never asked for her number. She would have been more shocked if she knew what he considered the stupidest thing he had ever done. It was never asking for her number!

This book was a pleasant surprise! I've never read TL Swan before, but I definitely plan on devouring the rest of this series. It was refreshing and extra entertaining to have such strong-minded and fiesty characters. Jameson can be combative and moody, and is used to getting his way. Well, Emily is definitely no submissive wallflower. She's sassy, fiesty, not afraid to speak her mind. The back and forth banter was fantastic and real, and sometimes frustrating. I definitely wanting to shake these two at points.

What I wasn't expecting, though, was to cry. Okay, so this love story isn't the kind with one big problem that eventually is resolved with a HEA. There were multiple bumps and bruises they had to move past together. However, in the last 30% or so, the heartache Em and Jim faced broke me. Tears running down my face.

I loved every minute of The Stopover and had a hard time putting it down. I can't wait for the next book!

Loved it!
I’m a huge TL Swan fan. This is the first book in a brand new series- Miles High Club.
Jameson drove me crazy with his indecisive B.S. but I held out hope that he would commit.
Emily was just fabulous. My heart hurt for all she went through and I’m relieved she got her happy ending.

Holy Mary mother of Jesus!! Wow!!! This book was off the charts hot! I’m a HUGE fan of TL Swan and her books, each book have gorgeous, sexy, hot AF alpha men that have you swooning from the get go. The stopover has this and more, I had a mixture of emotions reading this book, it was funny, sad and my god the chemistry, I thought "Gym Junkie" was hot, Jameson and Emily took it to a whole other level.

It was definitely hot in The Miles High Club!! I can’t wait for the next one!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Emily had flown to London for a friend’s wedding only to run into her ex and his latest arm candy. She is totally exhausted and due to an unruly customer in line she finds herself upgraded to first class from London to New York. She is really impressed by the food, champagne and the service. She is not minding the blue-eyed man sitting next to her either. They spend time on the flight laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Emily finds herself extremely drawn to this man. When the plan has an unexpected stopover, they are dance and laughed the all around Boston. The night they spent together was filled with passion Emily had never experienced before. After an amazing night Emily was disappointed he did not ask for her number. She leaves Boston expecting never to see him again.
A year later Emily has finally gotten her dream job at Miles Media. As part of the first day she is shown around the office and she meets the CEO. She is surprised to find the man who has repeatedly shown up in her nightly dreams for the last year sitting behind the desk.
Jameson Miles is just as surprised as Emily to have her in his office working at his company. Will Emily be able to resist Jameson? Will they even have a chance at a real relationship? Will their stubbornness keep them apart? Will Emily have to give up her dream job?
I really enjoyed the plot of this book. I really like the characters and I especially liked that they had a relationship that was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. This book was very steamy. In some way maybe a little too steamy. I do look forward to the books to follow about Jameson’s brothers. I would recommend this book but only with the steamy warning.

I guess I'm over the whole innocent girl wins over the CEO trope. Still this did it alot better she wasn't completely innocent and the story kept pretty steaming till the end. Still I've got to admit the constant screaming and fighting cannot be seriously thought to be healthy right? At least one has to know when to take control of the situation. I felt like the anger problems between them were never solved although I am happy they found their happily ever after. I got to admit my favorite character was Tristan and would love to know his story of happily ever after.

Meeting a handsome, sexy and swoon worthy man on a long flight is the stuff dreams are made of...especially when that dream continues

I loved the banter, comments and style these two have with each other. Jameson and Emily is red hot chemistry.

This book is definitely a good read, and will keep you on the edge of your seat then whole way through!

Okay so, this book is pretty addictive. And my first TL book.

I’ve been reading reviews about her books and some people don’t like them.

Well I’m here to tell there’s no OW drama or a doormat heroine here. Nope she’s pretty kickass at giving the hero hell! When they fight it’s 100x funny.

But . . .

Isn’t there always one, their fights are kind of petty and immature but . . . Ah ha there’s a butt again.

There is a bit of drama but it has nothing to do with another woman or man for that matter.

I thoroughly enjoyed these two characters.

Here’s why:

These two have a meet cute and it starts a passion that you know is coming.

Emily is a investigative journalist. And on her way home from a wedding when she meets a man in first class.

Jim is not entirely how she expected him to be. He’s carefree and handsome. They ending up spending the night together. But never expect to see each other again until she they see each other again a year later.

Miles Media is the largest media company in the US. Her career is going to take off or so she thinks until she meets the CEO. Her one-night stand is none other than Jim.

Knocking both of them for a loop, the navigate the cesspool of knowing they have been intimate with each other. That doesn’t stop Jim from pursuing her into a FWB relationship.

But is that truly achievable? Idk. You know what to do to find out.

Let me tell you about the hero, Jim. He is not your typical rich egoistical manwhore. Once he’s in it, he’s in it. There are no ifs ands or buts. He doesn’t sleep around or cheat. And I really liked that about him.

“I could be anything, Emily Foster . . . as long as I’m with you.”

Yes. Oh FYI: he’s not a camping person. That was funny.

Book Review : The Stopover by T.L.Swan

Received ARC of the book from NetGalley.

This is the first book I read of the author and I don’t regret it.

Emily and Jim meet in a flight, flirt and spend a night together. Cut to a year later, Emily meets her new Boss Jamison Miles. Jim hasn’t still got over her and Emily is stuck between her attraction for her boss and keeping her mind sane.

Emily is feisty. I like that bit, but bits where her attraction to Jim blinding her rationality is not smoothly done. Jamison is typical alpha male, want to slap but want to kiss kinda guy (slap more than kiss).

If the romance bit was more tasteful, I would have enjoyed more.

I am always gripped by TL Swan's stories and The Stopover is another winner. The plot is super sexy, angsty, funny, infuriating and clever. I laughed, cried and held my breath in anticipation while devouring the words. You will want to read every word to find out how it works out; it is a very compelling story.

The characters are real and frustrating; as are a lot of people I know but, they both have valid reasons for being frustrating so I forgive them and love them. Emily and Jameson are absolutely zinging with sexual attraction and fit together perfectly... for one night. How exciting to have a steamy night with such sexual chemistry! When they meet again, it’s still there but things just keep happening to cause drama, doubt and heartache. What more could you ask for in a book?

I simply can’t wait for other Jameson’s brother's stories. These brothers are super sexy and full of character. Well done TL Swan, you’ve done it again.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review. This is the first book in The Miles High Club. This story is about CEO Jim and sweet and lovely Emily who were met at the flight stopover. They felt an instant attraction, they spend some great time together and they moved on with their lives. They met again when Emily started to work in his Miles Media. They still have a strong connection and chemistry but Jim is not the same guy she met. He is rude and spiled snob, he drives me crazy with his bossy attitude and I'd rather slapped him. Emily is a great girl, I love her honesty and this book deserves 4 stars. Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this opportunity.

When I picked up this book, I expected one of those cliche billionaire romance novels that have been all the rage lately. What I got, however, was a surprisingly deep and meaningful novel. Rather than being stuffed with racy scenes and passionate moments, this was focused on the important parts of a relationship that are often overlooked in these types of novels. (Don't worry, though; there is still plenty of innuendo and pleasure.) It addresses trust, honesty, and, most importantly, compromise.

When Emily Foster tours the executive floor of her new workplace, the last thing she expects is to see Jim, the sexy and attentive stranger she spent a passionate night with a year before. Naturally, neither of them has forgotten the excitement of that encounter. As attractive as Emily still finds her new boss, she cannot find the sweet Jim from that night in the arrogant, controlling Jameson Miles. He wants her to be his, but she doesn't want her submission to his will to be taken lightly. Between setups, accusations, and pure stubbornness, it almost seems that the budding romance of Emily and Jameson is doomed. Will they be able to take a chance on love and step over the fears that hold them apart?

I would recommend The Stopover to anyone who is looking for a meaningful romance novel, and I look forward to reading the next book by TL Swan!

I received a copy through netgalley. All opinions expressed are my own

Jameson and Emily meet on an overseas flight. There is instant attraction, flirting, and humour. After a memorable layover for both of them, they go their separate ways.

A year later Emily has moved across the country and starting a new job at Miles Media. Much to her surprise, the CEO of the company is none other than Jameson.

My most favourite part was the camping trip part; I only wish that it would have been fleshed out a bit more. Have them spend the whole weekend in the tent...

Emily and Jameson have this intense push-pull connection. At first it was endearing, but I got tired of their constant bickering, and need to be in control. They would connect, someone would say something that pissed off the other person, and then there was anger and tears and swearing. It seemed really unhealthy.

Great new novel by T L Swan that captivates, and enchants from page one with a rollercoaster romance, some incredibly cliche' but adorable side-line characters, a high-stakes intrigue plot, and some serious sizzle! You might want to save this one for reading at home!

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters in The Stopover. The character development felt real, and the flow from Emily's POV to Jameson's POV was effortless and refreshing. The plot moved along at a good pace and kept my interest throughout. The mystery aspect was definitely an added bonus, although I did feel like there were some missed opportunities where that was concerned.

I don't want to give anything more away about the story than what is in the description blurb. I would recommend this book to a friend and look forward to the next book in the series.

I tried to push through with this book, but it just didn’t hold my attention. There was nothing original in this book, from the bff gay friend to the chick that tries to not be a pushover and attempts to exert her independence but fails miserably when guy snaps his fingers. DNF at 40%.
