This is a very suspenseful domestic thriller. It has lies, Murder, deceit. For me, this book started out slowly but gained speed the further I read. All in all I thought it was a good book and I enjoyed it.

This was a great book! The pace was great and I liked how I kept guessing until the end. Suzi was definitely my favorite character!

I saw this book being advertised everywhere and it sounded like it would be right up my street. And so it was... A fast-paced unputdownable thriller. The story was told primarily from three main characters and, just as any thriller should, it had short chapters alternating between various timepoints. There were a lot of twists and turns in the story and the storyline moved at a perfect pace. Loved it!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Other Wife is an intriguing story of different women and the unexpected connection between them. It is hard to describe due to not wanting to give out spoilers.
I didn't like this quite as much as I had hoped but it was an enjoyable.

I apologise most sincerely for not reviewing this book when I read it on the 5th April this was due to the fact I forgot I had an ARC.

Many thanks to Netgalley, Claire McGowan and Amazon Publishing Uk for an eARC. My views are my own.

Love thrillers? Then this is the book for you! You will be kept on the edge of your seat as you read. This book is hard to put down and gave me the same feeling of confusion as The Silent Oatient and The Wives. Highly recommend this book.

A wonderful thriller which is easy to read and hard to put down. Not at all what I expected throughout! Why two wives? Who is responsible for his death? A twisted and delicious thriller from start to finish! Highly recommended!

I found this book very thought provoking. How can one many do so much damage. His tentacles spread far and wide causing the women he met to look deep into themselves and take responsibility for there own lives. Well written and absorbing, thank you for allowing me to read this arc copy.

The Other Wife by Claire McGowan is an intriguing story of two women and the unexpected connection between them.

I really loved the character building and the storytelling. It was a little jarring at first going between POVs, as we get to see the story in various ways. But ultimately the story was well crafted and I'm looking forward to read more from this author.

“The other wife” by Claire McGowan is a well thought out domestic thriller with many twists and turns to keep your attention.

It’s hard to describe the plot without revealing spoilers as nearly every chapter unveils a new secret.

I found it an enjoyable read but I did so,times get the characters muddled up and would have to flip back to double check exactly who was who. I’m undecided if this was down to my poor attention span or if the character development could use some work.

Overall it is a good read but not one of my favourite thrillers out there.

Thank you to netgalley for the free ARC in return for an honest review.

The Other Wife by Claire McGowan is a domestic thriller full of twists, suspense, and secrets. I appreciated the short chapters and alternating viewpoints. I will not say too much about this book because I don’t want to spoil anything. It did have a few confusing transitions/ moments. Also, the pacing was a little slow at times. I didn't really care for the characters. Overall this was an ok read.

I love this author and so should you! Great twists and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Set Suzi in a secluded area. The couple moving in have one neighbor named Elle. Unbeknownst to Suzi, Elle is watching her. Secrets and lies and twists and turns make for another fabulous book by this author.

This story ended up packing one hell of a punch!

The Other Wife is told from four different POVs, Elle, Nora, Suzi and Alison and is split into four parts. I initially believed this to be detrimental to the book as the storyline was incredibly confusing at first and as a result I think a couple of the earlier twists were unnecessary.

However, I pushed on and it soon became apparent why the novel is written this way. The pace of the book does increase and I became invested in the characters, one in particular I started to route for. I think the author wrote her quite realistically and she is definitely someone you wouldn't want to cross!

A very clever, well-planned ending and overall I think The Other Wife deserves a solid 4 stars. Definitely worth persevering with.

Not a bad story-pretty bog-standard. I really think the characters could have been better fleshed out. The usual twists and turns. Readable.

The Other Wife is a domestic thriller that had me turning the pages and kept me guessing until the end. Be prepared for plenty of secrets, lies and deceit, which is what I love in a book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was looking forward to this one having read the blurb and it’s been fairly well advertised but it really was quite dull and deathly slow.

Suzi is a pregnant woman who is married to Nick who is incredibly jealous. She’d had an affair. He does not trust her and is jealous most of the time.. She doesn’t Have any friends until she meets her new neighbour, Nora who also has a secret.

I didn’t like the characters and the book was written from the different points of view but was often repetitive and monotonous. The slowness of the story really put me off and wondered if was ever going to get going and I got a bit sick of how pathetic some of the characters appeared to be..
