Enjoyed the book. It was a cute story, perfect for the holidays. Loved the descriptions of Chamonix. The story reminded me of a Hallmark movie. I would have loved to be in the cabin during the whiteout!!!! It wasn't a surprise when Lily finds out who her sister is dating. I really don't know why they kept it secret. Lily constantly pointed out that Pierre called the hotel Boutique and she wondered why. Never is this addressed. Lily and her friends were in their thirties, but honestly I thought I was reading about people in their early twenties. Elodie was supposed to be 32, but honestly she acted like she was fifteen. I thought the description of the book is a little off. I thought it was going to be all about Lily trying to get Luc to love Christmas, but that is just a tiny part. That wasn't the main focus of the book. The book isn't all light and fluffy.

Definitely recommend the book. Perfect for the Christmas season, especially if you love skiing. I enjoyed the story, characters and writing style. Full of romance and snow. Look forward to reading more books by the author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Canelo through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Everyone knows the story: two best friends, one a guy, one a girl. One or the other realizes that they're in love with the other and, after a a short, turbulent period, they realize that they are both in love and end up with a HEA. Except in this book.

Lily Jackson has only recently realized that she loves her friend Jamie. But when she finally gets up the courage to tell Jamie that she loves him, she discovers that he's already in a relationship. And the woman he's dating? Well, it's just going to be uncomfortable for Lily to stay in the country. Even at Christmas, her favorite time of the year. So she finally takes he friend Imogen up on her suggestion to come to France, to the Chamonix ski resort. Lily has never skied but her job as a masseuse is pretty portable so she picks up and goes. And at Chamonix, she meets ski instructor Luc, a man who hates Christmas. Can she teach him to change his mind? In a typical romance novel or a Hallmark movie, it might be a no-brainer. But this book... who know?

A charming book that actually introduced some darker themes. Maybe a little too much for a Christmas book but it's all wrapped up neatly in the end. An extra bump in the rating for how the women handled the dating situation.

The French Alps at Christmas, Oh My!
This is a lovely romance. It is complete with life-long friends, friends to lovers, repercussions of childhood abuse, crazy addictions, and loss. It is a good story. It is not too realistic, but it is fun. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

If you want a very christmassy romcom book this festive season, I highly recommend this one. I've never read any of Sasha Wagstaff's books so didn't know what to expect. This was funny but at times really heartfelt so was the perfect Christmas read to enjoy after all the turkey and stuffing!

An entertaining christmas read.

After telling her friend Jamie she was falling for him, she finds out he is dating her sister. She needs to escape, so takes a job in a ski resort in Chamonix to escape. Her best friend already works there, so she soon settles in. Ski lessons with Luc don't help her fear of heights, but he is determined to help him out. She wants to return the fabour and help him enjoy christmas again.

Makes you want to escape to the slopes!

A perfect book for Christmas. All the ingredients for a Christmas romance in an idyllic setting. A good storyline and the location well described without being a tour guide. I’m not a skier but imagine this book will hold additional appeal to those who are, particularly if they’ve visited Chamonix.
