A super informative book/ encyclopaedia but I am not sure where the market would be for this book or who would read it. My children and I looked through it together and mostly looked at the pictures, a few names and even fewer details, only when a particular ‘pet’ was of interest

Very factual and provides the essential basic data for the animals and breeds listed but it is too technical, for want of a better word, for younger children and I really don’t see why you would pick it up to read. It would be a good reference point for families / children to refer to via the library....maybe.

I love pets and this was an interesting book, full of amazing pictures, that made me discover some dog and cat races I never heard before.
I loved the pictures and the explenations.
Highly recommended!
