This is the second book in the series and is a re release under a different name.
There were a lot of characters in this book but it was easy to follow the story.
The author writes such cozy mystery books. Can’t wait for the next in the series.

Monica Noble is a vicar's wife who left a busy life in London two years previously when she married Graham. She has a troublesome teen daughter Carol-Ann. Living in the Cotswolds is a serious change for mother and daughter, but Monica couldn't be happier.

When she is asked to be one of the judges at a nearby flower show, she is excited but nervous. Truthfully, she doesn't know much about flowers, but this is a wonderful opportunity and she will be in great company.

When fellow judge James Davies is found dead of an apparent heart attack, it doesn't take long for the local doctor - and Monica - to realize that foul play might have been at hand. This is rather close to home because James Davies was Graham's close friend and a fellow vicar. While the police begin questioning everyone at the event, there is a second murder.

Monica ends working with the police before on a murder, and ended up solving the case. She worked with Chief Inspector Jason Drury before and it certainly looks like her unique skills might come in handy yet again. As a matter of fact, Jason even wonders whether or not Monica is gifted as a natural detective.

As busy as Monica is, she hardly notices that Carol-Ann has an agenda of her own. She is determined to catch the eye of someone at the flower show, a photographer, and really feels that this event will become a turning point in her life. While Monica is hoping that her daughter will pursue higher education, Carol-Ann is determined to become a supermodel.

There are no shortage of suspects and this story is a busy, yet quick read that kept me guessing until the end. I was very surprised as to who the killer was. Although The Flower Show Murder is the second book in the Monica Noble series, it does perfectly well as a standalone. For those who love series as much as I do just might enjoy the first book, The Vicarage Murder. I love this series by Faith Martin and am really looking forward to the next in the series.

Many thanks to Joffe Books, NetGalley and Books N All for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Local vicar Graham and his wife Monica are invited to be judges at the local flower show. Despite their lack of knowledge they realise the show is taken very seriously by the competitors. Two murders swiftly follow and Monica uses her knack for sleuthing to help her friend the local policeman solve the crime, whether he wants her help or not.

A good cosy read.

Most enjoyable, a great cozy mystery. Monica Noble, the vicar’s wife has a knack for solving murders. In this second book in the series her husband’s friend and fellow vicar is the victim. None seems to have a motive but was he the intended victim? Looking forward to reading book 3.

County Vicar Graham Noble and his wife Monica were headed to the Flower Show, where Monica was judging, among others. She was a little bemused as she really couldn’t tell one flower from the other, but was determined to do her best. During the process, another of the judges, Vicar James Davies dropped to the floor, quite dead. The shocked group immediately called for a doctor, suspecting a heart attack, but when his suspicions were aroused, the local constabulary were called in, including Chief Inspector Jason Dury.

There were immediate suspects as there were quite a few people in the judging tent, but it wasn’t long before one person was on the top of their list. But when they found him, he was also dead. What was going on? Who would kill a vicar and why? Would Monica be able to work out the suspicions she had, even against the wishes of the Chief Inspector?

The Flower Show Murder by Faith Martin was a great cosy whodunit which I really enjoyed. I like Monica’s character – the reluctant sleuth who seems to come to the correct conclusion even before the detectives. This one is the 2nd in the Monica Noble series, originally published as the Unholy Whiff of Death by the author’s pseudonym Joyce Cato. I’m looking forward to #3 and can highly recommend this one to fans of the genre.

With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

Monica Noble, the vicar’s wife, is thrilled to be judging a neighbouring village’s flower show. Her fellow judge, Vicar James Davies, inhales deeply from a large bloom and drops dead. Though initially he's suspected to have had a heart attack, the doctor on hand is suspicious and calls the police. Then a second murder occurs, and Monica must help Chief Inspector Jason Dury to find the killer before anyone else pays the ultimate price.

Though initially I found it difficult to focus, after the first few chapters I enjoyed the book. It had an interesting story, and great characters and setting. Looking forward to reading more books by this author. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book.

The flower show murder by Faith Martin.
Monica Noble is thrilled to be asked to judge a neighbouring village’s flower show, even if she can't tell a begonia from an azalea! Her fellow judge Vicar James Davies inhales deeply from a large bloom and drops dead in the tent. At first everyone thinks he’s had a heart attack, but the doctor on hand is suspicious and calls in the police. A second murder quickly follows, this time of one of the main suspects. Monica must help the Chief Inspector Jason Dury to solve the two murders and find the killer —fast, before anyone else pays the ultimate price.
A great read. Good plot and storyline. Good characters. 4*.

Faith Martin writes wonderful cozy mysteries that let the reader enjoy a community full of entertaining characters, this time led by a crime solving vicar's wife, and try to guess who the killer is before she tells us. This book finds our heroine judging a flower show when another judge drops dead! Now she must join forces with the police to find the killer. Fun and entertaining as well as an excellent mystery. What more can you ask for in a cozy mystery? How about, when's the next book?

Who would think that an English country flower show would become a double murder crime scene? It turns out that the annual flower show in the Cotswold village of Caulcott Green is a flashpoint for the feuds, petty jealousies and conflicts swirling in the village. Chief Inspector Jason Dury is called upon to investigate the murders, and brings with him his trusty sergeant, Flora Glenn, who is slightly in love with him. A vicar's wife (and amateur sleuth), Monica Noble is also on the scene to chase down the numerous red herrings that crop up. At the same time, Monica needs to keep tabs on her teenage daughter who has dreams of becoming a fashion model. In a comic side story, this daughter pursues a celebrity photographer around the flower show, much to the chagrin of his wife.

This a light whodunnit murder mystery with an attractive cast of characters in a pleasant English country setting. In the cast there's a member of the landed gentry, an obnoxious self-made business tycoon, his trophy wife, a nerdy scientist, a knighted army veteran and a variety of other locals. All told, there's plenty of potential suspects. Monica is an attractive amateur detective, whom DCI Dury describes as a "natural detective", despite her getting in the way of his investigation. She however manages to figure out the identity of the killer in a couple of hours. Recommended as a breezy and entertaining read.

I received an advance reader's copy of the eBook from Joffe Press, via Netgalley. The comments are my own.

Another great cosy mystery by Faith Martin featuring Monica Noble, Her vicar husband, teen daughter and some tension between Monica and the lead detective add some extra interest to the plot. Their are lots of suspects, and everyone seems to have a reason to commit a murder or two.

Like the author, but sadly couldn’t open this one on the kindle. I have read several of her books and like her cozy mysteries, and wish this one would have been available.

A church fete, a flower show, two murders. Visiting vicar's wife Monica Noble quietly investigates while the police carry out interviews.

There's a long build up to the murders as characters are introduced and built. Goodies and baddies. Scheming women, a ruthless businessman....

A light, enjoyable mystery.

Before judging, murder happens, who was the intended person, and why here at the flower show. Once agin Monica has a murder case to help solve. Good flowing plot, and how things have changed for the vicar,
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Net Galley and Joffre

A twisty, pleasant and highly entertaining read!

Everyone is a suspect, everyone has a motive, everyone has an alibi.
One is the killer.

The judging is to begin. And in more ways than one.

A scientist and a vicar are murdered at the Caulcott Green flower show. The vicar collapses after smelling the roses and the scientist is killed by a blunt object. What is the motive? Is this the work of a single murderer or two different killers are in town?

Thanks to the author, Joffe Books and the NetGalley for my copy of the book.

As always Faith Martin produces an excellent murder mystery! The murders take place in the Cotswolds at the local Flower Show of a nearby village to where the vicar and his wife reside and where the last murder mystery happened.
The vicar Graham Noble and his wife Monica find themselves in the midst of it and amateur sleuth Monica helps Chief Inspector Jason again solve them.
