So many things are revealed as Claire's memory slowly returns and who she should trust changes often.. This book kept me guessing right until the end. |
A great thriller with many twists & turns you don't see coming. This is my style of book and I enjoyed it!! It's well written, characters are realistic and will look for more by this author. |
Claire Wright wakes up in the hospital with no memory of who she is. This premise alone got me hooked. This book did not disappoint. It was an enjoyable read and It was very fast paced. It kept me guessing and I had a hard time putting it down. |
This story hooked me right from the beginning, when Claire is in the hospital, recovering from an accident that has left her with no memories of her past. I loved seeing how the memories crept back, slowly, with not everything fitting perfectly into place. Not everyone in Claire's "perfect" life is upfront, and some are downright dangerous, so who should she trust? As she slowly pieces herself back together, will she like who she used to be? These are all intriguing questions and I could not put this book down until I had the answers! |
Kate wakes up in hospital not knowing who her husband is and with her father also in hospital. What unfolds is Kate trying to peel back the truth from the lies, the allies from the foes before it’s too late. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for the arc. |
I did not get a chance to read this book. Befor it was archived very disappointed as I wanted to read this book |
Claire leaves hospital after being involved in a devastating car accident. She has no memory of her life before the accident, or of her husband, family or friends. Gaby, her best friend, tells her that she was going to divorce her husband Paul and she was a very self obsessed person. Claire doesn’t know whether this is the truth or not. She begins to suspect Paul of not loving her and maybe being involved in the car accident. This is a gripping thriller following Claire’s attempt to regain her memory as she realises that many people are lying to her and as she uncovers these lies she realises that she has to face up to her own dark secrets from the past. A recommended read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. |
TRUST NO ONE. EVEN YOURSELF. When Claire Wright wakes in hospital, she doesn’t recognise the person staring back at her in the mirror. She’s told that she has the perfect life: she’s beautiful, famous, with a husband and a house to die for. But Claire can’t remember anything from before the devastating car crash that’s left her injured. And now she’s surrounded by strangers, saying they’re her family and friends. As Claire discovers the person she used to be she must also unravel the mystery that surrounds the accident. But the more Claire uncovers, the more she will be forced to face up to the dark secrets from her life before… This is a wonderful thrilling new read! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of what the author will write! Recommend reading. I was provided an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. This is my own honest voluntary review. |
Not exactly what I was expecting at all yet sort of what I was expecting. The thriller part was so promising until half of the book when the lies and secrets get discovered and not that intriguing or interesting. I was imagining something way more captivating. That said it such an easy and fast read but also a fast forgotten book. |
Claire’s character is a young and strong woman trying to remember her life after a car accident with her father. She learns devastating details about her family and friends as she is trying to find her memories back. Betrayal, murder, and new beginnings. The ending chapter made my heart break. A really good book. |

A great start for me as a reader to explore this writer. She gave an intensity to this story. The characters were real and the mystery was a bit to unravel. I have just started the slightly revenge novel as a genre I am loving the story here. |

Claire is a beautiful young woman with a handsome cardiologist husband. More than that, she is a famous ballerina with a majestic home where she hosts enviable social events. The only problem is, Claire can’t remember any of that. A tragic car accident has left her with severe brain trauma, resulting in amnesia. As Claire desperately searches her home for anything that might help recover her memories, truths are revealed and questions abound. When Claire begins to dig into her childhood her search for answers only becomes more complicated. The more Claire learns the more she begins to fear for her safety. Soon another tragedy will send her reeling but it may also send her closer to the truth. When Claire suspects everyone is lying, distinguishing friend from foe becomes almost impossible. Her Perfect Lies, the premier novel from Lana Newton, will keep you guessing until the last chapter. |
It was a very insightful novel, with a strong cast of characters. I enjoyed the story line very much and would definitely recommend this book. |

A woman wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. Her car accident left her a complete blank. The more she learns, the more questions she has. Lana Newton tells Claire's story with a few twists that leave us asking who the "her" is in Her Perfect Lies. Don't try and read this one on the go, pay attention or you'll never figure it out! |

This book kept me thinking the whole time (will she get her memory back, then who is calling her if the mother is dead). So many twists and turns. I wasn’t sure what direction it would go. I couldn’t figure out what the title meant until the very end of the book. This made me think about trust, and how do you know you can trust anyone. This book kept me turning pages. It was difficult to put down. |
A good, solid 4/5 stars for this. A great twist and turns type novel. Like the main character you’ll be guessing over and over. I really like this type of novel: well written but not too pretentious and original with a good plot. |
Good writing and lots of twists I have read quite a few of these amnesia stories and this is fairly predictable and nothing groundbreaking but it was still enjoyable. The author writes well and moves the story along. The tension felt by the narrator does come across quite clearly. I liked that this bout of amnesia made the character change her ways, for the better. There were some surprises that I saw coming and some I didn’t. The ending was unusual for this genre but it fit and made me happy. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and HQ Digital for a copy in exchange for a review. |
My go to genre : psychological thriller. After reading so many, not much surprises me. This book included. It wasn’t terrible but I couldn’t connect with the main character. |
