This story was absolutely hilarious. I laughed out loud so much. I loved these characters. Their banter and antics were so much fun. I also love second chance romances and this is definitely one that will stick with me. I can't wait to read more from this author.

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series, and is Cade and Iris’s story. This is a beautifully written story which is hilarious from the very beginning, with crazy shenanigans, witty banter, and is a steamy 2nd chance romance. This gifted author has done an awesome job in penning this tale, and I highly recommend for all readers.

I always enjoy a really good book by Penelope and this one was it. As much as I liked the first book, Cade is definitely better. I really liked this story and it's characters.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Loving these new series, Penelope does it again with another series that are totally addictive you will not want to put it down.

My review is just comments of some of the hilarious things that got me going, enoy
Iris had me in stitches when she was trying to get information out of Bear, very hilarious scene, Cade knows her so well.

Now that was a mouthful, I had to check if that word really existed, and you learn something new everyday and my favourite statement “You must be the only person I’ve ever met who regularly wins arguments by sheer force of stupidity.” Seriously how much “frustration” can you read from that statement. Can’t believe she fell for the test, but anyway it was inevitable.

OMG, just cant get over Cade’s childishness “Insert part A into Part B.” seriously. What sort of a word is dadly, only Cade would come up with such a statement.

Oh my favourite person Grammy makes an appearance, and believe me she will shock you just as she did in the previous series as she took no prisoners.

Eagerly waiting for the next book in the series

I had a bit of mixed feelings with Anything But Cade, but I still enjoyed this quite a bit! Cade is such a jokester it was tough to take him seriously at times. But I loved how endearing he was when his son, Bear, came into his life. I’d say it was probably one of the best things that happened to him.

The one thing the drew me to this series is the second chance romance stories! With this one, add on the single parent and you’re set for a pretty decent read.

Ever since I read Anyone But Rich, I’ve been so curious what happened between the King brothers and essentially the heroines of each of their books.

I loved seeing the internal struggle that Iris had about being around Cade, again. They definitely have some history that altered her life plan, but I’d say she made the best of it. I will say that the pact she made with her best friends about never dating a King is becoming a bit too much.

However, I love seeing how these King brothers are getting past all their barriers. I truly enjoyed this funny read and am soooo ready to see how Miranda will be won over!

Another great read by Penelope Bloom. This is the second book in the Anyone but King Brothers series. This is Cade and Iris's story and a laugh out loud read. Cade certainly comes up with some wild ideas and is a bit of a day dreamer. He would definitely make life interesting. I really enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This author's style is hit or miss for me. The writing is good, but the humor can be a bit over the top. Even though I think the premise of grown women hanging on to an adolescent pact seems far-fetched, I liked Iris and her interactions with Cade. I found her mostly easy to relate to even though In her interactions with Cade's newfound kid I found her to be a bit clueless. Altogether, an entertaining read.

Anyone But Cade by Penelope Bloom is book Two in the Anyone But...Series. This is the story of Cade and Iris. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one but I do feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Cade left his home town along with his brothers but now he is back and learns of a child he didn't now existed. Iris and Cade were young together and of course had feeling for one another but then Cade up and left town. Now Iris and her friends have all sworn off the King brothers. So when Iris arrest him for disorderly conduct it brings them to meet again which opens the door for him to ask for her help.
Enjoyed this second chance at love story.

A brilliant read in this series of books about three brothers and the girls that captured their hearts.
Cade ruined Iris's life 7 years ago but neither has got over their feelings for each other. When Cade needs help Iris is the first person he can think of and she is more than willing.
Can they work through their disagreements or is it too late for them.
More than a few one liners from Cade and not all make sense but you still love him.
Bear steals the show though in this book.
Looking forward to reading Nick's book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I absolutely loved this book. The story was so well developed that even if you hadn't read any books prior to this one, you would be able to follow this story as it contains enough history that all the characters are well defined in this story. I loved the ending most. Penelope Bloom is a favorite author and if you like a good story, this is a must read.

I laughed out loud throughout this book! It is funny and full of flirting and love!

Iris is a local police officer, she loves her job, and her cat! But something is missing from her life, a man to love.

Cade is one of the infamous King Brothers, who made their fortune then came back to the town they left seven years earlier. He could have his pick of women but he wants the one he let slip away. By doing something stupid in high school Cade made Iris lose something that meant the world to her, so she made a vow with her two best friends to have nothing to do with the King Brothers again.

It all starts when Cade gets a phone call that causes him to get drunk and get arrested, what follows changes his life forever, but also gives him an opportunity to show Iris that he has changed - or has he?

This is a great book, I loved everything about it, especially the appearance of someone special at the end of the book!!!!

Oh my God, I had so much fun reading this book! Cade is so amazing and so crazy, in a funny way. “Anyone But Cade” is a fantastic book and believe me when I say it: you will savor every page!

Iris’ relationship with Cade cost her her future. They were good together, until he did the most stupid thing and put an end to her chances at a sports scholarship. Years later, they stand face to face, she as a police officer, and Cade as a very successful businessman. However, the most unbelievable event brings them together, with Iris trying to keep Cade out of trouble and lose … the most important person in his life.

They are great together! The banter, the contradictions and Cade’s flirtatious personality are the delight of this book. I took my time enjoying every moment and every word and now I am so sorry I missed reading book 1 (something that will be rectified in the following days!). Cade’s brothers are as well interesting characters and the same can be said about Iris’ friends. I must admit I am a little scared when it comes to the next book in the series, as I am not such a big fan of Miranda’s. But I am curious to see why she is so adamant to avoid the King brothers.

I am decreasing one start mainly because some aspects of the story felt a bit rushed and other could have been better explained, though I associate this last item to the fact that I have not read part 1 (Rich and Kira’s story).

So 4 stars for Penelope Bloom’s book and I cannot wait to discover this series and her others. She is an amazing writer! I do advise you give this book a chance and come back with your thoughts J Happy Reading!

A feel good second chance romance with heart, laughs and plenty of steam.

I loved Cade and Iris. They dated seven years ago in high school until Cade did something dumb and then Iris vowed to never date a King brother again. Now, Cade is rich and famous and ready for his second chance with the only woman he ever had feelings for. Iris is a cop and does everything she can to avoid Cade until a little surprise shows up. He's still the goofy guy who hides behind jokes, but he's also so much more. Iris can't resist.

Literally LOL funny, steamy with irritating and wonderful moments
Having read ANYONE BUT RICH about Rich, twin brother to Cade, I already knew that Cade and Iris would be a formidable couple, both witty, outrageous and caring. And again, Ms. Bloom has pulled out all the stops. This book was HILARIOUS. She should consider doing standup comedy, so funny! Her narratives are literally LOL funny and that’s not how I usually read…laughing!
Cade and Iris had a thing in high school until he did one of his more ridiculous stunts which changed everything. Fast-forward seven years and the brothers have returned as billionaires and Iris is trying so hard to hold onto her anger with Cade. His antics make that really difficult even more so when he’s faced with a problem he never expected. Who is there to help him out? Iris.
There are times when I couldn’t decide if Cade was more sweet-ish or childish. So many funny moments: Iris pretending to type at the station; Cade’s baby-pool in the living room; “bone apple tea”; the bj on the diving board; when Grammy from HER CHERRY appears; lastly, anytime the brothers banter together, including Nick. I so hope we get Nick’s story soon…
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through NetGalley and it comes highly recommended. I give it 10 Stars!

Anyone But Cade by Penelope Bloom is book two in her Anyone But series. Every book is about another couple and can easily be read as a stand alone.
The previous book is Anyone But Rich.
Anyone But Cade is Iris' and Cade's story.
Iris and Cade share a past. They were highschool sweethearts and had a bad breakup. Iris's still living in her small town and now her nemesis in form of Cade is back too.
Cade has an over inflated ego, he's sarcastic, annoying and not at all my favorite person. Throw a cute sidekick in the mix together with great writing and a fantstic story and you have a great read like Anything But Cade.
I loved the storyline and some of the characters, the excellent writing and the witty and fun bicker and banter. 4,5 Stars.

Anyone But Cade is the second book in the Anyone But... series. Cade is thrown back in Iris’ life when she arrests him, but when he’s shocked with the news of having a five year old son, will Cade step up to be the man he needs to be for his son and Iris, and can Iris forgive the past?

This book was the perfect combination between being deep and emotional, with past and current issues they needed to confront, and downright hilarious! I was giggling out loud, especially during one of the end scenes, which was a nice relief against some of the heavier topics. Cade and Iris were absolutely perfect for each other, even if it did take them a while to catch on. I loved that Cade, on the outside, didn’t take much seriously and was always joking or using sarcasm - of which Iris seemed to have the perfect translation for. But Cade had a lot of layers that made him complicated and deep. Iris seemed really realistic and liked her rules, but Cade really opened her up to living life and enjoying it, and she was his counterpart to kind of bring him down to earth a little more. I absolutely loved Bear and all of his scenes, too! While this book stands alone in regards to the main characters, I think it’s better to have read the first book to understand a bit better some of the previous hurts. I am loving this series so far, absolutely adored Cade, and I’m excited to read Nick’s book!

As with all Penelope Bloom books I thoroughly enjoyed the humor she manages to weave into the romance.
Cade was definitely one of those characters I can't help but love. I guess part of the reason for that is I can't resist a man who can make me laugh. Oh don't get me wrong, he has his negatives too!
A man who can't do much for himself is not so attractive for me personally .
Iris is a strong, independent woman in what is considered a mans job, yet for me I thrive on woman who have mental strength along with the ability to see past that I am woman mentality when the time is right.
Their story is a second chance romance and the author made this so much fun to read.
Thanks again....I can't wait for the next book!

An enjoyable addition to the series! Cade and Iris story was enduring and fun from the start to the end. I enjoyed getting to know more about Cade and his personality is different but you just can’t help but love. His chemistry with Iris sizzles as he tries to get a second chance, but the fun starts as an expected element shows up which I loved. A highly entertaining romance read that does not disappoint. I can’t wait for the next story in this series.

3.75 stars—ANYONE BUT CADE is the second instalment in Penelope Bloom’s contemporary, adult ANYONE BUT... romance series focusing on the King brothers: twins Rich and Cade, and younger brother Nick. This is twenty-five year old billionaire tech businessman Cade King, and police officer Iris Rosewood. ANYONE BUT CADE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: Seven years earlier high school friends Miranda, Kira and Iris made a promise to never date the King brothers in response to heartbreak, secret and lies that spiralled out of control. Fast forward to present day wherein the King brothers have returned to their hometown of West Valley, North Carolina in an effort to upstart a new division in their billion dollar high tech industry.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Iris and Cade) ANYONE BUT CADE follows the rebuilding relationship between billionaire tech businessman Cade King, and police officer Iris Rosewood. Seven years earlier Cade King destroyed any hopes for a future with Iris Rosewood when he shattered Iris’ chances at a scholarship in retaliation for Iris breaking his heart. Fast forward to present day and the King brothers have returned to West Valley, North Carolina, in an attempt to upstart their billion dollar tech industry. Shocking news from his past sends Cade into a tailspin landing him face to face with the woman he has never stopped loving. Enter police officer Iris Rosewood. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Iris and Case, and the potential fall-out as people behind the scenes set out to destroy their second chance romance.

Cade King made a terrible mistake the day he destroyed Iris’ future and no amount of grovelling would make up for what happened but his past is about to catch up and he is desperate for help, including help from the woman that would become his present and his future. Iris Rosewood never forgot about the horrible day when everything fell apart but a second chance with Cade meant more than anything she could have ever imagined.

The relationship between Cade and Iris is one of second chances: a rekindling romance between two people destroyed by mischief, mistakes, and childhood pranks. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Cade’s twin brother Rich and his wife Kira; their youngest brother Nick, as well as their manipulative and controlling parents Harper and Edna King; Iris’ father, and her police partner Billy, and precocious Bear.

ANYONE BUT CADE is a story of family, friendship, second chances and love; a story of secrets and lies, power and control. The premise is engaging and revealing; the characters are colorful, energetic and dynamic; the romance is seductive, captivating and hot.

4.5 stars

This was a really enjoyable read. It's witty, fun, quirky and has some really entertaining characters. Cade is a really funny, carefree person who crashes through life creating plenty of waves, while Iris is a straight-laced, rule-abiding woman.

There is plenty of chemistry between these two, and I found their banter fresh, lively and outright hilarious at times. I would definitely recommend this to readers who enjoy romcoms and lighter, fun reads.

This is a complete standalone novel. You wouldn't need to read the first book to enjoy this, but it would help with the background of some characters.
