I really love this series, Cade specifically. He’s is the stereotypical Penelope Bloom character. Super funny, little dense, and a whole lot of heart!

Funny, full of off the wall analogies which are so stupid they kind of make sense. Cade was seen as the class clown and he uses his stupidity as a cover for his feelings, but is he really that clueless or a smart deception. The banter and quick quips lea e you laughing and when it really counts Cade is determined and focused. This is a great second book of the Rich brothers and I cant wait for more.

Fun and easy read with great characters

Cade is one of those people that are always fun to be around! He is someone that can turn the most innocuous sentences into a joke or sexual innuendo, and he does it in such a deadpan way that you don’t know he’s kidding until you process what he said, and it will turn out to be something hilarious.

Cade dated Iris in high school until his irresponsibility and thoughtlessness got to be too much for her. He unintentionally did something stupid that she paid the price for and she cut him out of her life after that. Iris and her two friends (that had similar experiences with Cade’# two brothers), then made a pact never to date a King brother again. It was fairly easy to keep the pact since all three brothers moved away. After high school.

Though Cade and his brothers Rich and Nick, founded a highly successful business and retuned seven years later as billionaires and were building their new company headquarters in town. Iris’s friend Kira has since then, already broken her part of the pact and is now married to Rich.

Iris had changed a lot in the seven years the King brothers were away. She has become a respectable police officer, but Cade has had no reason to really grow up much. She resents him still for what happened in high school and the fact that he hasn’t changed much is good reason to stay away.

Though Cade really has had no reason to mature and be responsible. He is a hard working adult at work, of course. But in his home life he is rich enough to have maids that clean up after him, cooks to prepare dinner for him and he doesn’t have to take care of anyone, even himself. Iris only sees the fact that he doesn’t have to do things like learn to cook, do laundry and clean up after himself.

Things change though when he gets a call from an ex-girlfriend and he is forced to grow up and change. He asks Iris for help and they grow closer. The romance is a bit of a slow burn and when they finally do get together it is hot. However, there is not enough intimacy for this book to be rated more than 3 out of 5 flames in the heat department 🔥🔥🔥.

The relationships between all the characters are great though. The supporting characters are humorous and real and they add to the story, the descriptions of how certain characters act in different situations is heartwarming and fun. I thought the book was very good. Though it wasn’t quite as funny as some of Penelope Blooms other books. Even so, it was witty and I plan to read the next book in the series, Nick and Melanie’s story.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "ANYONE BUT CADE" This was absolutely a hilarious romantic comedy you definitely don't want to miss as always Penelope Bloom writes one amazing delightful heartfelt storyline you can't put down until finished reading.
This is Cade King and Iris Rosewoods journey to get back what they had 7yrs ago before they broke up and he left town she became a cop, he's now back with his brothers their Billionaires and the new headquarters for their company Sion is now in West Valley North.
This story is laugh out loud a minute, with hilarious banter back and forth between Iris and Cade he's like a man in a kids body his antics and the things he says and does has you just shaking your head he finds out he's a dad to a 5yr old son named Bear he's like a mini Cade so inquisitive and adorable.
There a few twists in this amazing second chance at love romance it's a must read for sure I can't wait the next book "ANYONE BUT NICK" there are so many interesting, we'll developed characters that make this such a fabulous read Miranda isn't one of favorites I hope she redeems herself in the next book. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!

This book had me laughing so much. Cade is just a goofball, his logic and inner musings have no bounds. Iris is very sarcastic and funny as well. Then the author adds 5 year old Bear (who by the way is definitely Cade’s child) to the mix, and you will just fall in love with them. Though there are serious moments and situations, the levity added by these characters antics makes this book a must read for romance lovers looking for a laugh, sexy time and a HEA.

God I swear I hadn't laughed at a book as much as i did with this since Neanderthal Meets Human and believe me that is my favorite. From the moment Iris wanted to roll over to Cade and kick his feet under him I was laughing. Every single moment in the book was laugh out loud worthy. At some points I couldn't stop laughing for few minutes and kept remembering the moment over and over again. The moment Cade got my respect? When he punched a jukebox for Maroon 5 ruining Super Bowl. Don't we all agree with that? XD

I really wished we had more cute moments with Bear too but I have a feeling the little dude is going to come out super spoiled at the rate they are going but still they make a cute family. If you're looking for a drama free and hilarious novel, this is the perfect book for you. I am dying to see how it's gonna be between Miranda and Nick because Miranda seems to hold the biggest hatred between the girls actually.

Those Billionaire King brothers are back at it. This time around we meet Cade. He lost Iris seven years ago after a stupid prank backfired. He never forgot her and now is back in town with more than a few surprises to keep her on her toes. She is now a police officer and has no trouble arresting her past flame when he gets a life changing phone call that he does not handle well.

No spoilers here, but it was pretty much a laugh out loud rom-com dialogue that had me busting a gut every five minutes. Cade is off the wall hilarious. His antics are almost man-child like, but underneath the hidden sarcasm and humor is a man that just wants to protect those he loves and be loved for him and not his money. A great read! I received an ARC from netgalley and this is my honest review.

This book is really entertaining. I had fun reading it. Cade is one silly man. His jokes are usually on point, but when he jokes instead of having a grown up conversation, he usually goes over the top.
Iris is a good girl and follows the rules. This cannot go well with Cade. He is the exact opposite. But somehow they complete each other. Amazing read!

Anyone But Cade is another quick, fun, enjoyable read from Ms. Bloom. I really enjoyed the first book in the series and was looking forward to this one. I must admit that I didn't like this one quite as well, simply because Cade's immaturity began to irritate me as much as it was irritating Iris. We both got past it, but I truly did not find it endearing. I did understand it, though, as something driven by his insecurities, so it made perfect sense for his character. As with other books by this author, this one will have you laughing out loud.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for providing an ARC for review.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. I loved the main author Cade. He is very charming. I liked this this book was not like typical second change story. You start to get invested in the relationship between Cade and Iris. You also start to really like Bear ( Cades son) who brings Cade and Iris back together.
This book gives me the feels and i think anyone who want to read it will think its very cute.

Iris and Cade were high school sweethearts until Cade made a huge mistake and cost Iris the future she thought she wanted. After the incident, Iris made a pact with her two best friends to forget about the King brothers, no matter how rich or famous they became. Now it's seven years later and Cade's back, unfortunately for Iris he's even more handsome and charming than he was when he left, he also still has the same attention span as a gnat. When Cade needs her help she finds herself second-guessing the pact she made and Cade's ability to change.

This was another great, funny, easy, no angst story from Penelope Bloom. From the first chapter I was cracking up, Cade is absolutely hilarious. from his interaction with his cellmate to the contents of his briefcase, I laughed through the entire book, I loved to see how Cade was able to help Iris loosen up a bit and enjoy more. There was a moment of depth when Cade was talking about Bear loving him for things like cereal and swimming and not his money that made my heart hurt for him a little. There's even a couple of unexpected twists. If you're looking for a light, sweet, low drama read, this is the perfect book.

I couldn't wait for Cade and Iris' story and I wasn't disappointed. It had me in stitches with their witty rapport and the things that Cade would come out with were the stupidest but also the funniest things I'd heard in a long time. The chemistry between these 2 was magic, they were definitely made for each other. The bond he has with Bear was so sweet and heart melting. This series based on the King brothers has been fantastic so far, just Nick to go. I can already guess it's going to be another hit!

Penelope Bloom never fails to brighten the day with her fun, light hearted narratives and Anyone But Cade is no exception. While it is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. The characters are entertaining, relatable, and absolutely adorable. Iris and Cade have a quick-witted, ostentatious humor that Bloom does well to volley back and forth. A great book to get caught up in and de-stress as it is boasting with tongue-in-cheek humor. 4 stars.

Thank you to #NetGalley for this ARC of #AnyoneButCade, which I read and reviewed voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Anyone But Cade is the second book in the Anyone But series by Penelope Bloom. This second chance romance has an engaging storyline, great characters, witty banter, some twists and turns, laugh-out-loud humor, and of course, a happily ever after.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

This series (which each can be read as a stand alone) features the billionaire King brothers. This book is all about Cade. The fun, carefree, jokester brother. Trying to win back his high school sweetie isn't going to be that easy, even if he knows she's just as attracted to him now as she was back then. Iris may be physically attracted to Cade, but after he destroyed her life by his recklessness, she doesn't trust him any further than she can throw him, at least when it comes to her heart and her livelihood. Where he is always turning things into a joke, never taking things seriously, she is too serious and intense at times and very committed to doing her best at all things, most importantly her job. There are lots of laughs, and smirks... mostly because of Cade's immature way of thinking about things. While the main focus of the book is their relationship, there are a couple side stories that play a major part in their lives.. including some shocking surprises. It's a well written fun story. Even the emotional scenes were lightened by Cade's hilarity. :D There is minimal sexual content, though it is mentioned more often, including some innuendos.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
I was in two minds about reading this, as I didn't enjoy the first book in the series as much as I wanted to. This book unfortunately is similar. I have a lot of respect for the author as she has written some fantastic stories with her 'His series,'where I laughed out-loud many times.
Here, Cade as the main character is quite immature and doesn't seem to work too hard for the love of his life. It's probably just a case of 'it's not you, it's me,' with this book, as other seem to love it.

“Is it weird that I just want to curl up in a ball, roll downhill at full speed, and then take out his legs?”

After reading Anyone But Rich I was really looking forward to reading Cade and Iris's story due to their witty banter and I wasn't disappointed. The pair had me chuckling at their comments but it was mainly Cade that had the banter this time. I wish we'd had a bit more of Iris's sharp wit that we saw in the first book.
Loved the story line it kept me engaged and didn't want to stop reading. My only niggle was the same as the first book. I would have liked a bit more resistance from Iris due to how much she was against the King brothers return.
Looking forward to Nicks story as I'm not liking Miranda in this one. In the first book she was the one who was a bit more forgiving about the King brothers but in this one she's so negative. Maybe it's because she's worried the girls are gonna leave her behind for their happy endings. Guess we will find out soon 🙂

Another winner by Penelope Bloom. I have loved this series so far and this book is no different. Three friends made a pact to never date any of the King brothers. Iris, Kira and Miranda all went to school with Rich, Cade and Nick King. But that was seven years ago and now the brothers have moved back home after relocating their company headquarters. And now Kira is married to Rich. Iris is a deputy sheriff now and when she was in high school she was in love with Cade . But he ruined her life. Now they are in the same town but they avoid each other as much as they can. Iris would never admit she never got over Cade and he would never admit the same. But one day Cade gets some unexpected news that changes his life. He has a 5 year old son he never knew about. And he is coming to stay with him. Somehow Iris agrees to help him because she knows he has no idea how to take care for a child. What could possibly go wrong?
