I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

The perfect amount of Christmas and romance, with an abundance of general cheesiness and corny dialogue.

I felt like Tom was a completely different character throughout the book. His personality kept switching, which was really irritating while reading.

There is something odd about reading a book set at Christmas time at the end of April. Christmas is one of my favourite times of year, so it was quite nice reading a book set at this time. I did enjoy this book. It’s something I’d refer to as a palette cleanser. It was a refreshing change from the heavier books I have been reading recently. This book was kind of a cheesy romance, a little predictable, but it was overall enjoyable and was a feel-good sort of story.
I rated this book a 3/5 because whilst it was a lovely, soft kind of easy read love story, going into the story, not much happens and as a reader, you know you were going to end up. The predictability and slow pace meant that even though I enjoyed the story, it is not comparable to the other books I have rated 4 stars.
There isn’t much I can really say about this book. I liked the story, but it isn’t one I will be raving about to other people. If you like easy read Christmas romances, I think this book is definitely worth a try. I have to be honest and say though that I was more interested in the Christmas component of the book than the romance.

Reading a Christmas book in the Spring? Why not? I enjoy Christmas books all year long. Plus, it snowed here today. And on top of all that, we have covid. I was looking for some seriously fluffy happy vibes in a book and I found it.

This story follows Isobel and Tom. It was a chance meeting (boy accidentally knocks girl off sidewalk and in front of bus) and it all falls from there. It develops as Isobel is sent to do an interview for her job - an interview of a television star. In walks Tom... the man who accidentally knocked her over. I mean, what are the chances? I predicted that was going to happen before it did, but those are the types of experiences we tend to get in fluffy romances.

The story follows the two of them through out the next week (as per the title of the book) as their relationship develops.

I gave this 3 stars. 3 stars is not BAD. I enjoyed the book. It was a quick read. It was exactly what I wanted- fluffy romance. That said, I had no HUGE connection to these characters. Their "love" happened extremely fast (as in, a week) and at that point they were already flying across the world to meet families for Christmas. Like BOOM.

Nothing earth shattering happened, it was all a little "plain", for lack of better words. It was an "awwwww... that's cute!!" book. I tend to prefer my characters and the story line to be just a touch more developed and emotional. But, if you're looking for a cute fluffy romance... pick this up. And if you're like the normal person (unlike myself), Christmas time would be a wonderful sweet time for it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read for my honest opinion,

A really sweet book that follows Isobel and Tom through chance encounters in London. Living there myself, I loved hearing about all the cute activities they did together.

A super light and warming book that is wonderful to read in any season.

Oh... It was very lovely indeed. What's fun without a little festive romance?

Although, just like every single romance novel that I have read so far, there was this tension between the characters at the end. Surprisingly, I was anticipating for the most! I mean common, you know everything is going perfectly right, lovely and beautiful with amazing descriptions and a lovely setting and whose to think that there could possibly be any error? But I knew there would be. There's always is. As I said, the setting was lovely. I could actually picture it all in my head and be like, 'I wanna go there, I wanna go there' on and on. I pretty much liked the characters as well. It was all pretty standard but at the same time familiar which made it enticing.

To be honest, it took me ages to get through it. Not because it wasn't interesting but you know, things get in way. But still I have read more than half of the book in almost a go and I cannot say that I didn't enjoy it.

Set during the week before Christmas, Isobel and Tom lead us to an adventure of London festivities, ice skating, winter markets with mulled wines, food, and the all getting-to-know-each-other. The Christmas setting is beautifully written and I love the characters' conversations. Sweet and just lovely that I forgot to anticipate the falling apart situation, but the book ended like a gift wrap with a ribbon on top.

Oh, what a lovely and heartwarming read this book is! It’s one of those books that lifts your spirits, bringing a huge smile to your face from beginning to end. The perfect story to read as we move into the festive season, One Week ‘Til Christmas has everything you could possibly want from a Christmas story and I loved every single beautiful and uplifting word of it!

Isobel Bennett is staying in London for one week before she’s due to travel back home to Melbourne to spend Christmas with her family. But then a dark haired, handsome man literally falls into her lap and the chemistry between them is instantaneous. Before she has time to think, he is gone and Isobel is left wondering what might have been. But then fate leads her directly to him – and gives Isobel and Tom a second chance to get to know one another. But what will happen when Isobel’s one week in London is over and she goes back home for good? Will she be able to turn her back on Tom forever?

What follows is a glorious feel good story that will leave you with a warm glow in your heart as you turn the final page. I had a big smile on my face from beginning to end and I know this is a story I will want to read again in the future. I could imagine One Week ‘Til Christmas up on the big screen as the perfect, uplifting, romantic Christmas movie that could easily become staple viewing for the festive season. There wasn’t a thing about it I didn’t love, with the story flowing effortlessly, making me fall more and more in love with Isobel and Tom with every page.

Belinda Missen has written yet another fantastic page turner of a novel and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! She’s fast becoming my go to author when I’m in the mood for a book that will lift my spirits and make me smile. Pure escapism at its very best!

Highly recommended.

I know it is well past the holidays and Christmas, but I finally dug myself out of work and school assignments and was able to read this one.

It was such a lighthearted and wonderful holiday romance. I really love holiday romance reads, the whimsical holiday feel and the immediate love interests are just nice. This was a fun book about a journalist who meets a guy in the city and then spends a week with him before Christmas, getting to know him and also improving herself little by little.

Isobel, the main character was realistic as a character and Tom is fun and keeping her on her toes which was fun to experience. I really liked Isobel's growth through the book and her courage for trying so many things in the week they spent together. Overall this was a festive insta-love romance that if you enjoy those types of books you will probably enjoy.

A bit late to be reading a christmas story but I still engaged in the story in the lovely romantic period of February because the characters and setting engaged me. Lovely romance which I enjoyed. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

This is a sweet Christmas romance set in snowy London that I finished in one sitting. Cute characters and a decent romantic buildup. It was a nice way to spend a cold afternoon!

Cute!!! Total 5/5 Stars!

I 100% feel in love with One Week Til' Christmas by Belinda Missen.
Isobel Bennett is waiting for the bus when a man quite literally falls into her lap. From there we follow the story of Isobel and Tom as they try to make a one week romance is worth fighting for.

It's not only the perfect Christmas time read but more like the perfect anytime of the year read! Perfect romantic drama. I could not put it down and actually did not until I was finished. One my fastest read. So sweet and cute.

Thank you #netgalley and #harpercollins for this book in exchange for my honest review

This book was a brilliant read and one that is perfect to escape for a few hours and loose yourself.
Characters that fall out of the pages of the book and make you fell apart of the story, the setting is lovely and captured well with words.
A great read. that I would highly recommend.

This one was actually really cute! I really enjoyed the quick romance & thought the h/H were wonderful! I really love Christmas romances like this one that provide all of the holiday feels but also provide a great narrative! This was like a quality Hallmark movie in a book!

Yes, I know it is January. I know Christmas is over. But considering Christmas is my ABSOLUTE, favorite time of the year I will hold on to it as long as possible. Which includes reading a Christmas novel at the end of January (and potentially listening to Christmas music while I do so).

I enjoyed this! The strength of the book is definitely in the setting and descriptions. Hearing about all the cool things there are to do in London during the holidays means I now MUST go. But in all seriousness, Missen does a great job of creating the Christmas spirit and magic of the season through her description of the places the characters go to and the Christmas activities they do.

As for the characters, I liked reading about a strong female who was very career oriented (and what a cool career). Tom was a sweetheart. The meet cute was everything. But it was a bit too much of an insta-love for me. The whole story takes place in the span of 10 days and it all felt very fast for me. The characters had such strong feelings so suddenly it felt a little unbelievable, but hey, I guess it could happen.

Overall, this was a cute Christmas romance. It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit whether you're reading it in November to prep for the holidays or in January because you miss the holidays. Even if you read it in June, I think you'd enjoy the story.
