An absolutely lovely feel good Christmas book.
The story of Isobel and how a chance meeting with a mystery guy, turns her life around from what she does as a job and how she enjoys the magical time of the year. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, full of festive cheer, as well as heartache and believing in yourself. Definitely worth reading

A sweet and romantic story, full of Christmas spirit that made me root for the characters.
I loved the engrossing and entertaining plot, the fleshed out cast of characters and the wonderful descriptions of places.
It was a good read, recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This book had little to no substance. The characters were paper thing, especially the male protagonist. I usually hate when these types of books get too overly dramatic, but at least there is plot and tension. This was basically nothing. Everything was very surface and bland. The female protagonist did have a bit of gumption in how she dealt with the major dramatic plot point, but then she's stuck with Mr. Bland movie star. He doesn't deserve her and all readers deserve more than what this book had to offer.

A great love story between two strangers whose paths cross accidentally to say the least. They only have one week to find out if there is something more there than a simple crush.

She is an independent woman looking to change her life. He is a successful man that needs someone to see him for who he really is.

This book is so cute! Isobel is a travel writer who is currently on holiday in the UK. While waiting for the bus one day a man quite literally falls into her lap. Fast forward to the next day where they meet again and their relationship blossoms from here.

Tom and Isobel are so fun and I loved reading about their adventures together. I really love how Christmassy and festive this book is. It made me feel like I was in London experiencing everything right along with them. This is such a cute romance that’s perfect for the holidays.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Isobel and Tom meet by chance. And then they meet by chance again! It must be fate. With just one week left in London, they spend every second together doing everything Christmas in London has to offer. And maybe the just fall in love along the way...

This novel is warm and fuzzy and made me feel all festive. I devoured it in one sitting and will be recommending it to everyone!

I love any book that has "star meets ordinary girl" and this book had me from the start. Isobel and Tom have the perfect meet-cute and I love that Isobel had never seen Tom in his famous show. This book gave me all the feels because of the descriptions of all the places they went and how the Christmas season was all around them. I appreciate that this relationship had time to develop and even at the end you're not 100% sure how it will end. A great story to get you in the mood for Christmas.

***Thank you to NetGalley, HQ Digital and Belinda Missen for providing the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.***

One Week 'Til Christmas, by Belinda Missen, was a sweet Christmas story that is perfect for those who prefer a relatively angst-free story and who like to be immersed in a setting. Isobel is a travel writer looking to expand her writing horizons who happens to meet Tom, a famous actor, one day while waiting for the bus. Circumstances throw them together a second time and both realize they’d like to get to know the other better. But Isobel is only in town until Christmas, and how far can a relationship go when they live on opposite sides of the globe and are always travelling for work?

The author did a thorough job describing all the places our MCs went and making the story feel fairly Christmassy and festive. Admittedly I’m not a reader who loves a lot of descriptive detail about a character’s environment, but here it really did help set the mood. It also overshadowed the characters at times, at least for me. There were places where everything going on around the characters was clearer than the characters’ motivations or thoughts. There was an overriding sweetness between Isobel and Tom, a proper romance if you will, only it felt a bit flat to me. Missen didn’t make me feel much heat between our couple, or even their connection really. I understood they were falling for each other because I was told they were, but I didn’t feel it. There was much indecision to the characters’ thoughts and actions, so while I was rooting for them, I wished they were more firmly decided on trying instead of the ‘let’s just see’ attitude that pervaded the plot.

Love a good cheesy romance, and one that’s set around Christmas time is my favourite & ‘one week ‘till Christmas’ certainly didn’t disappoint.

This book follows Isobel, a travelling journalist who is currently in the UK on holiday, visiting friends that she’s made whilst ‘on the job’ on her way to catch the bus to her friends house she gets knocked into the gutter by a passing gentlemen who she can’t help but realise is beautiful, things feel awkward for a couple of minutes then he picks her up and puts her on the bus.

Later it turns out that the guy who knocked her flying was a well known actor, she gets sent to interview him & that’s when things really start to happen.

Isaac comes across as arrogant to begin with, like all he’s bothered about is getting to where he needs to be and he’s not bothered about anyone else, but once the story gets going you realise that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Isobel and Isaac, really hit it off & they fall in love quite quickly, but how much can you really fit in, in 7 days? -Isobel is due back in Australia on Christmas Eve, after missing so many birthdays and family events in the past, she can’t miss another one and had promised she will be there.

This book has everything you expect from a soppy romance and it makes my heart happy, it’s not all plain sailing, but I loved that element to it as well.

My only problem is that it wasn’t long enough & I need to know what happens after Christmas!

One week ‘til Christmas is a relatively short but very charming read. If you love a festive romance, then this book is definitely for you.

The story starts one week from Christmas, when Isobel is on her way to stay with a friend for the holidays. While going to catch her bus she is quite literally knocked over by Tom, an awkward moment follows and Isobel rushes off to get on her bus without ever speaking to the mystery man. The next day Isobel receives a last minute assignment from her boss, where she is basically forced to go interview a famous actor with no time to prepare, when she arrives she discovers the actor is.. you guessed it, Tom!

This book was very well written, the author’s attention to detail was excellent.. I could almost feel the chemistry between Isobel and Tom. I loved that Belinda also included the sights and atmosphere of London at Christmas.

If you’re looking for an easy to read romance with some festive cheer, this is the perfect book for you.

I love a Christmas romance, but it's the category of books (and movies, if we're being honest) that turn the cheese factor up way high. It's a time of year where we don't mind being kitchy and cliche. But sometimes they go overboard. One Week 'Til Christmas found the perfect balance of nostalgia and Christmas cheer, while still being a great romance that I would enjoy no matter the season.

This book was short but it was so sweet. I liked how Tom & Isobel's relationship grow. Story went on kind of slow pace but I really enjoyed it just the way it is because it didn't felt like everything happened too fast and this left me quite satisfied. I just have a little bit issue about the ending but still I generally liked this story.

This super cute Christmas season book was perfect for the winter season. It will make you believe in Christmas love magic. Set it London you just wish you were walking the winter markets with them during it all.

Isobel is a travel writer that is on holiday in London but her boss asks her to do a last minute interview which leads her on a crazy week full of love, memories, ice skating, mulled wine, and shopping trips all with a dreamy man.

Tom is a TV star, theater geek, romantic, and mostly a normal likable guy. Even though he is a star he feels like the boy next door with his “surprise mail packages”, takeout, coffee run, and riding the bus.

This was a wonderful little read to set you into the holiday spirit! Overall, I give it 4 stars as the writing was great, keep you engaged, LOL moments, and some twists and turns to the story.

I adore Christmas and this one of my favourite festive reads so far this year. From their meeting, I was hooked. This book was anything I was hoping for and more. I found myself grinning throughout the read. I don’t typically like books set in the U.K. but there was something magical about this one.

It really made me wish this was my life. Isobel was one of my favourite characters while both of the main characters were so likeable and I loved Estelle too.

This book was a super cute romance and a quick read. I highly recommend it.

Who doesn’t love a Holiday romance - and one set in the magical backdrop of London at Christmas? (sigh)

The story starts 7 days out from Christmas when Isobel, fresh from Heathrow, is on her way to spend the week with a friend. While running for a bus she is literally knocked over by Tom. Before a conversation can get started, Isobel needs to run to catch her bus. However, the following day Isobel receives a work assignment to interview an actor, who is none other than Tom. This interview leads to a romantic, holiday-flavoured week - one that proves to be life-altering for Isobel.

I highly recommend this read for fans of holiday romances. I found the book kept me engaged throughout, and enjoyed the author’s details of the food and festive decorations that were explored by the couple.

One Week 'Til Christmas by Belinda Missen is a fun, festive read that will get you in the Christmas spirit!

It's a well-paced book that has likeable characters and a captivating setting. It follows travel writer and photographer Isobel who has arrived in London before she goes to Melbourne for Christmas. She doesn't expect to literally bump into famous actor Tom Bracken and have her life changed forever.

Set right in the Christmas season, this book takes you through Christmastime in London, describing beautiful Christmas markets, carol singers in the street and Christmas shopping, which really got me feeling festive.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a light, Christmassy read that will get you feeling ready for Christmas.

Unfortunately the author's writing style made it hard for me to get into a good reading flow. That's why I struggled with the book and unfortunately didn't enjoy it. As per my rule to only publish reviews of books three stars or higher, I will not publish a review on the book on amazon and other retailers.

Thanks for giving me the chance to review this book.

It's a pleasant, festive read, that cruises along at a steady pace. There isn't much angst or drama and the main characters are quite lovely to each other.

I am not a huge fan of the trope where someone falls for a celebrity; but the winsome voice, surprising sense of humour and well crafted setting trumped that. Last year before setting off to London Christmas markets I picked up a Christmas set book that I hoped would get me in the mood for my trip. What I found instead was a read that had all the immersive charm of a copy and pasted wikipedia entry. I mention this because the starring character of the book is London— so magically so. It is very obvious Missen is enchanted by her setting and it blazes through brilliantly on every page. So while the romance runs a little quick ( but tis the season for the eighty Hallmark films I watch so I cannot complain) and while I was a little underwhelmed by the major conflict that threatens to separate Isobel and Tom, this book’s immersive and resplendent sense of place makes it a thoroughly enjoyable Christmas confection.

Also, when you get to it, Isobel’s sister Miriam is basically the worst human ever. “ If you don’t come home for Christmas you are dead to me”. That makes for a fun holiday.
