Superspeed readers like me can read 150 - 200+ pages/hour, so yes, I have read the book … and many more today. LOL
I received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley, the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review.
From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸.
With this cookbook on their kitchen counters, home cooks can prepare delicious chicken suppers with confidence and ease. The spirit of this cookbook lies in author Stacie Billis’ light, funny, and instructional tone, which takes the intimidation factor out of working with chicken, whether breaking down a bird or roasting it whole. Each chapter is chock-full of tips and tricks that use a wide range of techniques, from braising and roasting to grilling, slow cooking, and sheet-pan cooking, and all fifty recipes focus on tender meat infused with flavour. Keep roasted chicken classic, or give it pizzazz with the addition of savoury compound butter. Get perfectly crispy tenders without frying or give fajitas with lime crema the sheet pan treatment for easy prep (and cleanup).
Other favourite recipes include Chicken Thighs with Maple–Cider Vinegar Glaze and Fennel-Apple Slaw, Sheet Pan Shawarma, Chicken Parmesan Meatballs, Green and White Chicken Chili, Peachy Sriracha Sticky Wings, and Pineapple Chicken Salad with Green Beans and Toasted Coconut. With colourful photographs of every recipe, readers will master the classics and discover new favourites for every occasion, from a casual dinner party to a backyard cookout.
This is such a fabulous book --- my families eat so much chicken I swear that there are feathers under their armpits! This book is fabulous as it has lots of yummy looking recipes (that are well written) that are photographed so well that I was drooling at the sight of them. If you love chicken and are looking for new recipes, this is a great book --- if you don't cook chicken very often you ill be inspired by the recipes in this excellent book. (I'm addicted to shawarma so that one will be made very, very soon!)
As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I love emojis (outside of their incessant use by "Social Influencer Millennials" on Instagram and Twitter) so let's give it 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
