This book deserves 6 out of 5 stars, but unfortunately, the most I can give it is 5 stars. I loved this book! It is the story of Harley and Piper. It sort of is a friends to lovers romance, or more aptly, just took awhile to realise they were more than friends. Piper is a strong, assertive, woman working in a men's world, construction. Harley is a sexy man that came home to manage his family's bar when his dad gets sick. He has the biggest heart, and tons of patience as he works his web around Piper, but does so always thinking of her. I love his flirtatious comments. Then, there is Jiggs, Harley's not so good wingdog, but a sweet addition. This book is a wonderful story with all the passion, humor, and love that you always expect when you read a book by Melissa Foster. The only thing though was that I really wanted to steal Harley away from Piper, but their love was too strong. I very highly recommend this book as your next read.

Remi is a fed up actress as her life is not her own anymore. She has a stalker, so her brother hires her a bodyguard, Mason Swift, to keep her safe, though Remi isn't happy with it all, and lets her brother know it, as she's not one to hold back. Now, Mason has moved into her home, and the sparks are flying. Remi was a fantastic heroine, with her down to earth mentality, even though she's a very known actress. Mason was a fabulous, protective hero, who was perfect for Remi, but obviously it was complicated. However, their chemistry won't be denied (thankfully), and feelings are absolutely being caught, though it takes a cool minute before anyone is admitting anything to the other. This is Love was a fun story that I couldn't put down (like all of the brilliantly addictive Melissa Foster), and even had a twist or two to set the f-bombs dropping. So, did Remi finally get a happily ever after with Mason?! You'll have to hit that one click button to find out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Remi Divine, smart, sexy, beautiful actress and finally Melissa Foster gives us her story. From the first book we see a woman anxious to break free from her overprotective brother to what she can be. Then we have the one bodyguard who not only challenges her but sees who she really is besides just an actress. There is just something about coming to Harmony Pointe that brings magic and love so easily Melissa’s stories come to life. The attraction between them is strong but what really got me was how easily their friendship grew to something so beautiful even Remi still had doubts it could be possible. Loved it and cannot wait for book 3 and this magical town.

“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”

Hands down, This Is Love is my new FAVORITE Melissa Foster book!
I loved Remi in the Sugar Lake Series and couldn't wait for her to get her own story!!!
And now that she did!!! It couldn't have been more perfect!
Remi's hottieguard, Mason is the all time best book boyfriend! The perfect combination of tough guy protector and an ooey gooey marshmallow of a sweetheart!
Following Call Her Mine, book one in the Harmony Pointe series, it was great to get to visit all my favorite Dalton's and company!
Five big happy hearts!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤

Remi is in trouble. She doesn't realize how much. With her brother circling the wagons and her friends helping too, she's shielded from most of the crazy. She's also being stifled under the "help".

Enter the big bad Mason...more like bad@ss! Mason gets it done. As head of a security team that never fails, Mason takes his job seriously.

This is Love is a sexy, sweet romance. It's filled with people you will be excited to track down. This cast of characters is exactly the kind of awesome group you'd want in your own story.

I look forward to figuring out who is from which series as well as loving on more of Harmony Pointe!

***4 Stars***

This one took me on a bit of a ride, not in a bad way (obviously), but Remi and Mason definitely had my head spinning as they tried to figure out not only who Remi’s stalker was, but their own feelings towards each other.

I really liked Remi. She’s sweet, sassy and despite the celebrity, is very down to earth, but she’s also quite naive in general about so many things that it drove me a little batshitcrazy at times. I understood why she was the way she was, but there were many times I wanted to reach out and shake some sense into her. Thankfully, with a little help, the blinders she’s been wearing are slowly taken off and she starts to take more control of her life. Mason was all kinds of protective alpha goodness. Able to see more than most do, he won me over because he truly cared about his job and the overall well being of those he cares about ~ even when he doesn’t want to.

Their journey to their HEA was an enjoyable one, frustrating because of all the push/pull going one, but enjoyable nonetheless. I enjoyed their battle of wills and how, for the most part, each one ended with both having a deeper understanding of one another, while also wreaking havoc on their emotions. It forced both of them to look deeper than either ever thought possible and pushed them to evolve. The chemistry between them was instant, but I did enjoy the slow burn of it all, even as it drove me nuts, and was very happy with where they ended up.

It’s hard not to get caught up in this authors books because all of the characters are so unique and well written that you just want to hang out with them as much as possible. I loved catching up with Ben and Aurelia and the rest of the crew (No, I have yet to find the time to read the Sugar Lake series...but it’s still on the never ending TBR list). And meet some new characters that have me crossing my toes that they get their own HEA’s in the future.

I love every Melissa Foster book I read and this one is no exception.

Remi and Mason have so much tragedy in their pasts and a bad situation that needs dealt with.

It’s so enjoyable to watch them both “see” each other’s real selves and grow as a couple.

I’m looking forward to more Daltons in the future!

I have come to a conclusion, I need a hottieguard in my life. Seriously, can Mason please come watch my body like he does Reno’s? I know I’m not a Hollywood actress with a sad past, but Mason is yummy.

I love the stalker stories, and when you add in a great twist, and when I’m convinced I know who the stalker is and I’m wrong, this was a great story. I love being kept guessing.

And, of course, Foster brings us back to visit characters from the past and introduces new characters we love, so the story is like visiting friends and family, but these are the ones you actually want to spend time with.

Another hit from Melissa Foster! I definitely fell in love with Remi and Mason. Their chemistry was sizzling and their connection was so evident-they were definitely able to let down their walls and be themselves with each other. Particularly, I adored how Mason really saw Remi and understood her need for freedom and independence. Aiden, Remi’s brother clearly loved her but his love and protection of her could be frustrating and was clearly stifling. But with Mason’s help, Remi was able to break free and learn to set boundaries.

I loved this book and can’t wait for more from this series.

Remi and Mason’s story was addictive, steamy, sexy and sweet.

Remi has quite a famous face. An A-List actress she’s used to the spotlight. But it has its downside. Add crazed and obsessive fans with an overprotective brother and Remi finds her self stifled and feeling claustrophobic. Getting away to Harmony Pointe doesn’t just bring her closer to her brother’s orbit of friends but it allows her to breathe, away from the constant paps and star struck public. But this little move comes with a bodyguard requirement.

And I’m with Remi. I’d have no objections to a sexy man like Mason around to “guard my body”. 😉 The chemistry was apparent from the start and quickly built into a steamy level of uncontrollable passion. Mason didn’t look at her as the famous actress she was, or her high profile, powerful brother’s little sister. No, to him she was all woman. A woman he took the time to understand and get to know and easily fell for.

Their story was absolutely beautiful!!

I’m a long-standing Melissa Foster fan, so I was excited to be approved for This is Love via NetGalley. This is Love is the second book in Foster’s Harmony Pointe series, but honestly it could be read as a stand-alone unless you want to know more about some of the secondary characters (for example, Ben and Aurelia’s story is book one, Call Her Mine). The series itself is technically a sub-series of Foster’s larger arc of books, Love In Bloom, of which there are at least fifty-odd other titles, so if This is Love happens to be your first foray into these romantic books with family at their core, and you like what you read, there’s plenty more to choose from. That said, Foster is kind enough to provide her readers with suggested reading orders, checklists, and family trees via download from her website.

Right, onto the book. This is the second book in Foster’s Harmony Pointe series, and it could be read on its own because the story centres firmly around movie star Remi Divine and her bodyguard, Mason Swift. Remi has been targeted by a stalker and her over-protective older brother is adamant that she will have bodyguards. The only problem is, Remi is very good at giving them the slip… Until Mason.

Right from the get-go, there’s a spark between Remi and Mason that won’t go away. Both are aware of it and do their best to remain platonic and professional. Remi is, at times, spoiled and selfish, but she’s also naïve and restless, with a huge heart. She has a scarred past which has left its impact on her mental health, but she’s also an amazing actress who really cares about her fans. Mason, carrying scars of his own, is very much the alpha male and is protective whilst also letting her have some freedom once he figures out her need for space and air.

Melissa Foster specialises in whirlwind romances, and this is no exception; the characters fall fast and hard for each other and there’s more than a few explicit sex scenes. These add depth and interest to the characters in my opinion and are never over-done. Equally, if you’d prefer not to read them, you won’t miss anything critical if you skip a few pages.

The secondary characters are all from previous (or forthcoming) novels in the Love in Bloom universe, so once you’ve read a few you get the feeling you’re actually part of one huge family where love and loyalty are at the heart of everything. Honestly, these are my favourite books to read when I’m curled up after a hard day or needing the literary equivalent of a comfort blanket. I loved seeing Remi’s friends and their various family members and spouses, and I enjoyed trying to work out who would be matched with who for future books. This never distracted from the action though.

Remi’s stalker does, by increments, get more and more sinister and terrifyingly close. There’s a sharp twist which I wondered whether would happen and when it did I didn’t feel it was too predictable. The world building is on point and the characters unique and interesting. Despite reading so many of Melissa Fosters books, I still found this to be fresh and entertaining. The healing of relationships and wounds (not just Remi’s and Mason’s) brings the novel to a sweet and heartwarming close. Not my favourite in the overall series but still so highly recommended!

I received an e-ARC from the publisher, Montlake Romance, through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Melissa Foster never disappoints me with her captivating stories. This is Love is one of the greats! It’s a story of actress Remi Devine and her gorgeous bodyguard Mason Swift. Remi sees Mason for the first time and is instantly attracted to him and when they finally spend some time together she falls for him even more. He treats her like a normal person instead of the movie star that everyone else sees. He also gives her sound advice on how to live a more normal life even if she has to be a little sneaky to do so. I love how caring Remi is and it broke my heart a little to hear about her background with her parents. I melted when Remi and Mason bared their souls to each other and how easy it seemed for them to really talk and get to know one another. I swooned when Mason helped her sneak out of her house even though they didn’t have anyone to sneak away from. As usual, I didn’t want the story to end and will be anxiously awaiting the next book!

I always say this but these books are like a cuddle up sweater on a cold day. And every story feels more like catching up with old friends as opposed to a new story except that I get so much more of each of their individual stories.

Remi was someone I didn't think I would ever be able to relate to. Not that she was a diva, just that her life was a whole other world to mine. And I can honestly say, fame is something I would never want. But Remi was such a sweetheart and was so normal I forgot she was America's Sweetheart. Despite the stalker.

Mason I really don't remember from any previous books but with my goldfish memory that doesn't mean much. From the beginning I loved him. He was so caring and protective of Remi without being overbearing or condescending. He just quietly made sure she was safe and cared for and it was impossible not to fall for him.

Together their chemistry was all kinds of hot but they were also just so beautiful. And I absolutely adored the story going on outside of their relationship. The whole book was just so much of what I love about these series.

This is Love is the second title in the Harmony Pointe series featuring Remi and Mason, but it also features quite heavily several characters from the Sugar Lake series. Although it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous books in both series' before diving into This is Love.

Remi is an A list actress, but it hasn't gone to her head, she's quite a down to earth and likeable characters. She's strong, sassy, resilient yet also has vulnerabilities that make her all the more realistic.

Mason is a protective, caring alpha who also happens to be Remi's latest bodyguard and he's used to being succesful when it comes to clients.

Remi and Mason's have a slow burn romance, that is fun and flirty with a touch of intrigue. The chemistry they share is undeniable, and the sexual tension just oozes off the page.

Although not my favourite of Ms Fosters books I still quite enjoyed this entertaining story.

I asked for more after book 1 in the series, and boy did Ms Foster deliver.

This is completely different in tone to book 1, yet still feels warmly familiar. The style of writing delivers another wonderful, character driven story, with an edge of tension.

This is everything I have come to expect from a Melissa Foster book, and then some. Magical.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has suspense, laughs, and sweet love.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Call Her Mine (Harmony Pointe #1)

This is Remi and Mason’s story. Remi is sick of stalkers and sick of needing a bodyguard. So, she ditches the bodyguards and takes off on her own. Yes, she knows she needs protection, but she is tired of always being watched and being under a microscope. Mason is pissed that she ditches his two best men and he is determined to make her see reason. He will just have to protect her himself. Sparks fly and passion ignites but the danger is not yet over. When danger gets way to close and tragedy strikes will they realize they both need each other? Or is this the end for them?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed my visit back to Harmony Pointe, all the same characters have returned from book one Call Her Mine, but it is not necessary to read book one to enjoy this story. This is not your typical Movie Star falls in love with Bodyguard story. Remi is about as normal as a person can be and both Remi and Mason are focused on work and little else when they meet. This is an easy and quick read and the same feel-good story I've come to expect from Melissa Foster.

This is Love (Harmony Pointe #2) by Melissa Foster. Remi Divine is an famous actress. She is in town shooting a film. As with many actors she has a stalker and her brother is worried about her. Remi has a problem with ditching her bodyguards, so the big guns need to be called in. Mason Swift is the man in charge. He is an Alpha man personified. This is just a job to him till he gets to know who Remi really is. He now finds himself falling for her and sharing stuff about himself he has never told a soul. I loved this story. I smiled through out this book. Melissa always takes me on a journey where I fall in love as the characters fall in love. I couldn't get enough of their love. The sexual tension between the two of them was also extremely hot and when the got together it was pure fire. Mason is just everything!!! He is a women's wet hot dream. This book can be read as a standalone but with any of this author's books you need a chart to keep up with who is related to who and who is seven degrees of separation from who else. It just make want to read the other character's story. 5 stars for me

This is my second Melissa Foster ARC. I got it from NetGalley. It's been sitting in my Kindle for weeks and I had just gotten to read it.

This is Remi and Mason's story. I've read Ben and Aurelia's story, and they make an appearance in this book. I've only ever read this and book one, so I'm not quite sure if the other characters came from another series. This is a standalone so there's no problem with the reading order.

I love this book a wee bit more than the first one. Their storyline isn't something I haven't before but it's more raw and a tad realistic. It's heartwarming and sweet and has a dash of suspense.

The pacing was good and the characters were fun and interesting. And let's take a minute to appreciate and admire the male specie in the cover... *sigh*

I can't wait to read what's next!
